1 D isse-me o Senhor: Vai outra vez, ama uma mulher, amada de seu amigo, e adúltera, como o Senhor ama os filhos de Israel, embora eles se desviem para outros deuses, e amem passas de uvas.

And Jehovah saith unto me: `Again, go, love a woman, loved of a friend, and an adulteress, like the loved of Jehovah, the sons of Israel, and they are turning unto other gods, and are lovers of grape-cakes.'

2 A ssim eu comprei para mim tal mulher por quinze peças de prata, e um hômer e meio de cevada;

And I buy her to me for fifteen silverlings, and a homer and a letech of barley;

3 e lhe disse: Por muitos dias tu ficarás esperando por mim; não te prostituirás, nem serás mulher de outro homem; assim também eu esperarei por ti.

and I say unto her, `Many days thou dost remain for Me, thou dost not go a-whoring, nor become any one's; and I also for thee.'

4 P ois os filhos de Israel ficarão por muitos dias sem rei, sem príncipe, sem sacrifício, sem coluna, e sem éfode ou terafins.

For many days remain do the sons of Israel without a king, and there is no prince, and there is no sacrifice, and there is no standing pillar, and there is no ephod and teraphim.

5 D epois tornarão os filhos de Israel, e buscarão ao Senhor, seu Deus, e a Davi, seu rei; e com temor chegarão nos últimos dias ao Senhor, e ã sua bondade.

Afterwards turned back have the sons of Israel, and sought Jehovah their God, and David their king, and have hastened unto Jehovah, and unto His goodness, in the latter end of the days.
