1 O pecado de Judá está escrito com um ponteiro de ferro; com ponta de diamante está gravado na tábua do seu coração e nas pontas dos seus altares;

The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, With the point of a diamond, Graven on the tablet of their heart, And on the horns of your altars,

2 e nquanto seus filhos se lembram dos seus altares, e dos seus aserins, junto

As their sons remember their altars and their shrines, By the green tree, by the high hills.

3 n as montanhas no campo aberto, a tua riqueza e todos os teus tesouros dá-los-ei como despojo por causa do pecado, em todos os teus termos.

O My mountain in the field -- thy strength, All thy treasures -- for a prey I give, Thy high places for sin in all thy borders.

4 A ssim tu, por ti mesmo, te privarás da tua herança que te dei; e far-te-ei servir os teus inimigos, na terra que não conheces; porque acendeste um fogo na minha ira, o qual arderá para sempre.

And thou hast let go -- even through thyself, Of thine inheritance that I gave to thee, And I have caused thee to serve thine enemies, In a land that thou hast not known, For a fire ye have kindled in Mine anger, Unto the age it doth burn.

5 A ssim diz o Senhor: Maldito o varão que confia no homem, e faz da carne o seu braço, e aparta o seu coração do Senhor!

Thus said Jehovah: Cursed the man who doth trust in man, And hath made flesh his arm, And from Jehovah whose heart turneth.

6 P ois é como o junípero no deserto, e não verá vir bem algum; antes morará nos lugares secos do deserto, em terra salgada e inabitada.

And he hath been as a naked thing in a desert, And doth not see when good cometh, And hath inhabited parched places in a wilderness, A salt land, and not inhabited.

7 B endito o varão que confia no Senhor, e cuja esperança é o Senhor.

Blessed the man who trusteth in Jehovah, And whose confidence hath been Jehovah.

8 P orque é como a árvore plantada junto

And hath been as a tree planted by waters, And by a rivulet he sendeth forth his roots, And he doth not see when heat cometh, And his leaf hath been green, And in a year of dearth he is not sorrowful, Nor doth he cease from making fruit.

9 E nganoso é o coração, mais do que todas as coisas, e perverso; quem o poderá conhecer?

Crooked the heart above all things, And it incurable -- who doth know it?

10 E u, o Senhor, esquadrinho a mente, eu provo o coração; e isso para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fruto das suas ações.

I Jehovah do search the heart, try the reins, Even to give to each according to his way, According to the fruit of his doings.

11 C omo a perdiz que ajunta pintainhos que não são do seu ninho, assim é aquele que ajunta riquezas, mas não retamente; no meio de seus dias as deixará, e no seu fim se mostrará insensato.

A partridge hatching, and not bringing forth, one making wealth, and not by right, In the midst of his days he doth forsake it, And in his latter end -- he is a fool.

12 U m trono glorioso, posto bem alto desde o princípio, é o lugar do nosso santuário.

A throne of honour on high from the beginning, The place of our sanctuary,

13 ç Senhor, esperança de Israel, todos aqueles que te abandonarem serão envergonhados. Os que se apartam de ti serão escritos sobre a terra; porque abandonam o Senhor, a fonte das águas vivas.

The hope of Israel Jehovah, All forsaking Thee are ashamed, And `My apostates' in the earth are written, For they have forsaken Jehovah, A fountain of living waters.

14 C ura-me, ó Senhor, e serei curado; salva-me, e serei salvo; pois tu és o meu louvor.

Heal me, O Jehovah, and I am healed, Save me, and I am saved, for my praise Thou.

15 E is que eles me dizem: Onde está a palavra do Senhor? venha agora.

Lo, they are saying unto me: `Where the word of Jehovah? pray, let it come.'

16 Q uanto a mim, não instei contigo para enviares sobre eles o mal, nem tampouco desejei o dia calamitoso; tu o sabes; o que saiu dos meus lábios estava diante de tua face.

And I hastened not from feeding after Thee, And the desperate day I have not desired, Thou -- Thou hast known, The produce of my lips, before Thy face it hath been,

17 N ão me sejas por espanto; meu refúgio és tu no dia da calamidade.

Be not Thou to me for a terror, My hope Thou in a day of evil.

18 E nvergonhem-se os que me perseguem, mas não me envergonhe eu; assombrem-se eles, mas não me assombre eu; traze sobre eles o dia da calamidade, e destrói-os com dobrada destruição.

Let my pursuers be ashamed, and let not me be ashamed -- me! Let them be affrighted, and let not me be affrighted -- me! Bring in on them a day of evil, And a second time destruction destroy them.

19 A ssim me disse o Senhor: Vai, e põe-te na porta de Benjamim, pela qual entram os reis de Judá, e pela qual saem, como também em todas as portas de Jerusalém.

Thus said Jehovah unto me: `Go, and thou hast stood in the gate of the sons of the people, by which kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all gates of Jerusalem,

20 E dize-lhes: Ouvi a palavra do Senhor, vós, reis de Judá e todo o Judá, e todos os moradores de Jerusalém, que entrais por estas portas;

and thou hast said unto them: Hear a word of Jehovah, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all inhabitants of Jerusalem, who are coming in by these gates,

21 a ssim diz o Senhor: Guardai-vos a vós mesmos, e não tragais cargas no dia de sábado, nem as introduzais pelas portas de Jerusalém;

Thus said Jehovah, Take ye heed to yourselves, And ye bear not a burden on the day of rest, Nor have ye brought in by the gates of Jerusalem.

22 n em tireis cargas de vossas casas no dia de sábado, nem façais trabalho algum; antes santificai o dia de sábado, como eu ordenei a vossos pais.

Nor do ye take out a burden from your houses on the day of rest, Yea, any work ye do not do, And ye have sanctified the day of rest, As I have commanded your fathers.

23 M as eles não escutaram, nem inclinaram os seus ouvidos; antes endureceram a sua cerviz, para não ouvirem, e para não receberem instrução.

And they have not hearkened nor inclined their ear, And they stiffen their neck not to hear, And not to receive instruction.

24 M as se vós diligentemente me ouvirdes, diz o Senhor, não introduzindo cargas pelas portas desta cidade no dia de sábado, e santificardes o dia de sábado, não fazendo nele trabalho algum,

And it hath been, if ye certainly hearken unto Me, An affirmation of Jehovah, So as not to bring in a burden By the gates of this city on the day of rest, And to sanctify the day of rest, So as not to do in it any work --

25 e ntão entrarão pelas portas desta cidade reis e príncipes, que se assentem sobre o trono de Davi, andando em carros e montados em cavalos, eles e seus príncipes, os homens de Judá, e os moradores de Jerusalém; e esta cidade será para sempre habitada.

Then entered by the gates of this city have kings and princes, Sitting on the throne of David, Riding in a chariot, and on horses, They, and their princes, the man of Judah, And inhabitants of Jerusalem, And this city hath remained to the age.

26 E virão das cidades de Judá, e dos arredores de Jerusalém, e da terra de Benjamim, e da planície, e da região montanhosa, e do e sul, trazendo ã casa do Senhor holocaustos, e sacrifícios, e ofertas de cereais, e incenso, trazendo também sacrifícios de ação de graças.

And they have come in from cities of Judah, And from suburbs of Jerusalem, And from the land of Benjamin, And from the low country, And from the hill-country, and from the south, Bringing in burnt-offering, and sacrifice, And present, and frankincense, And bringing praise the house of Jehovah.

27 M as, se não me ouvirdes, para santificardes o dia de sábado, e para não trazerdes carga alguma, quando entrardes pelas portas de Jerusalém no dia de sábado, então acenderei fogo nas suas portas, o qual consumirá os palácios de Jerusalém, e não se apagará.

And if ye do not hearken unto me to sanctify the day of rest, And so as not to bear a burden, And to come in at the gates of Jerusalem on the day of rest, Then I have kindled a fire in its gates, And it hath consumed the high places of Jerusalem, And it is not quenched!'
