1 V i o Senhor, que estava junto ao altar; e me disse: Fere os capitéis, para que estremeçam os umbrais; e faze tudo em pedaços sobre a cabeça de todos eles; e eu matarei ã espada até o último deles; nenhum deles conseguirá fugir, nenhum deles escapará.

I have seen the Lord standing by the altar, and He saith: `Smite the knob, and the thresholds shake, And cut them off by the head -- all of them, And their posterity with a sword I do slay, Not flee to them doth the fleer, Nor escape to them doth a fugitive.

2 A inda que cavem até o Seol, dali os tirará a minha mão; ainda que subam ao céu, dali os farei descer.

If they dig through into sheol, From thence doth My hand take them, And if they go up the heavens, From thence I cause them to come down.

3 A inda que se escondam no cume do Carmelo, buscá-los-ei, e dali os tirarei; e, ainda que se ocultem aos meus olhos no fundo do mar, ali darei ordem ã serpente, e ela os morderá.

And if they be hid in the top of Carmel, From thence I search out, and have taken them, And if they be hid from Mine eyes in the bottom of the sea, From thence I command the serpent, And it hath bitten them.

4 T ambém ainda que vão para o cativeiro diante de seus inimigos, ali darei ordem ã espada, e ela os matará; enfim eu porei os meus olhos sobre eles para o mal, e não pera o bem.

And if they go into captivity before their enemies, From thence I command the sword, And it hath slain them, And I have set Mine eye on them for evil, And not for good.

5 P ois o Senhor, o Deus dos exércitos, é o que toca a terra, e ela se derrete, e pranteiam todos os que nela habitam; e ela toda se levanta como o Nilo, e diminui como o Nilo do Egito.

And the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Who is striking against the land, and it melteth, And mourned have all the inhabitants in it, And come up as a flood hath all of it, And it hath sunk -- like the flood of Egypt.

6 E le é o que edifica as suas câmaras no céu, e funda sobre a terra a sua abóbada; que chama as águas do mar, e as derrama sobre a terra; o Senhor é o seu nome.

Who is building in the heavens His upper chambers; As to His troop, Upon earth He hath founded it, Who is calling for the waters of the sea, And poureth them out on the face of the land, Jehovah His name.

7 N ão sois vós para comigo, ó filhos de Israel, como os filhos dos etíopes? diz o Senhor; não fiz eu subir a Israel da terra do Egito, e aos filisteus de Caftor, e aos sírios de Quir?

As sons of Cushim are ye not to Me? O sons of Israel -- an affirmation of Jehovah. Israel did I not bring up out of the land of Egypt? And the Philistines from Caphtor, and Aram from Kir?

8 E is que os olhos do Senhor Deus estão contra este reino pecador, e eu o destruirei de sobre a face da terra; contudo não destruirei de todo a casa de Jacó, diz o Senhor.

Lo, the eyes of the Lord Jehovah on the sinful kingdom, And I have destroyed it from off the face of the ground, Only, I destroy not utterly the house of Jacob, An affirmation of Jehovah.

9 P ois eis que darei ordens, e sacudirei a casa de Israel em todas as nações, assim como se sacode grão no crivo; todavia não cairá sobre a terra um só grão.

For lo, I am commanding, And I have shaken among all the nations the house of Israel, As doth shake with a sieve, And there falleth not a grain the earth.

10 M orrerão ã espada todos os pecadores do meu povo, os quais dizem: O mal não nos alcançará, nem nos encontrará.

By sword die do all sinners of My people, Who are saying, `Not overtake, or go before, For our sakes, doth evil.'

11 N aquele dia tornarei a levantar o tabernáculo de Davi, que está caído, e repararei as suas brechas, e tornarei a levantar as suas ruínas, e as reedificarei como nos dias antigos;

In that day I raise the tabernacle of David, that is fallen, And I have repaired their breaches, And its ruins I do raise up, And I have built it up as in days of old.

12 p ara que eles possuam o resto de Edom, e todas as nações que são chamadas pelo meu nome, diz o Senhor, que faz estas coisas.

So that they possess the remnant of Edom, And all the nations on whom My name is called, An affirmation of Jehovah -- doer of this.

13 E is que vêm os dias, diz o Senhor, em que o que lavra alcançará ao que sega, e o que pisa as uvas ao que lança a semente;: e os montes destilarão mosto, e todos os outeiros se derreterão.

Lo, days are coming -- an affirmation of Jehovah, And come nigh hath the ploughman to the reaper, And the treader of grapes to the scatterer of seed, And the mountains have dropt juice, And all the hills do melt.

14 T ambém trarei do cativeiro o meu povo Israel; e eles reedificarão as cidades assoladas, e nelas habitarão; plantarão vinhas, e beberão o seu vinho; e farão pomares, e lhes comerão o fruto.

And I have turned back the captivity of My people Israel, And they have built desolate cities, and inhabited, And have planted vineyards, and drunk their wine, And made gardens, and eaten their fruit.

15 A ssim os plantarei na sua terra, e não serão mais arrancados da sua terra que lhes dei, diz o senhor teu Deus.

And I have planted them on their own ground, And they are not plucked up any more from off their own ground, That I have given to them, said Jehovah thy God!
