1 D emais veio a palavra do Senhor a mim, dizendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, `And thou, son of man, Thus said the Lord Jehovah to the ground of Israel:

2 E tu, ó filho do homem, assim diz o Senhor Deus ã terra de Israel: Vem o fim, o fim vem sobre os quatro cantos da terra.

An end, come hath the end on the four corners of the land.

3 A gora vem o fim sobre ti, e enviarei sobre ti a minha ira, e te julgarei conforme os teus caminhos; e trarei sobre ti todas as tuas abominações.

Now the end unto thee, And I have sent Mine anger upon thee, And judged thee according to thy ways, And set against thee all thine abominations.

4 E não te pouparei, nem terei piedade de ti; mas eu te punirei por todos os teus caminhos, enquanto as tuas abominações estiverem no meio de ti; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.

And no pity on thee hath Mine eye, nor do I spare, For thy ways against thee I do set, And thine abominations are in thy midst, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

5 A ssim diz o Senhor Deus: Mal sobre mal! eis que vem!

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Evil, a single evil, lo, it hath come.

6 V em o fim, o fim vem, despertou-se contra ti; eis que vem.

An end hath come, come hath the end, It hath waked for thee, lo, it hath come.

7 V em a tua ruína, ó habitante da terra! Vem o tempo; está perto o dia, o dia de tumulto, e não de gritos alegres, sobre os montes.

Come hath the morning unto thee, O inhabitant of the land! Come hath the time, near a day of trouble, And not the shouting of mountains.

8 A gora depressa derramarei o meu furor sobre ti, e cumprirei a minha ira contra ti, e te julgarei conforme os teus caminhos; e te punirei por todas as tuas abominações.

Now, shortly I pour out My fury on thee, And have completed Mine anger against thee, And judged thee according to thy ways, And set against thee all thine abominations.

9 E não te pouparei, nem terei piedade; conforme os teus caminhos, assim te punirei, enquanto as tuas abominações estiverem no meio de ti; e sabereis que eu, o Senhor, castigo.

And not pity doth Mine eye, nor do I spare, According to thy ways unto thee I give, And thine abominations are in thy midst, And ye have known that I Jehovah the smiter.

10 E is o dia! Eis que vem! Veio a tua ruína; já floresceu a vara, já brotou a soberba.:

Lo, the day, lo, it hath come, Gone forth hath the morning, Blossomed hath the rod, flourished the pride.

11 A violência se levantou em vara de iniqüidade. nada restará deles, nem da sua multidão, nem dos seus bens. Não haverá eminência entre eles.

The violence hath risen to a rod of wickedness, There is none of them, nor of their multitude, Nor of their noise, nor is there wailing for them.

12 V em o tempo, é chegado o dia; não se alegre o comprador, e não se entristeça o vendedor; pois a ira está sobre toda a multidão deles.

Come hath the time, arrived hath the day, The buyer doth not rejoice, And the seller doth not become a mourner, For wrath unto all its multitude.

13 N a verdade o vendedor não tornará a possuir o que vendeu, ainda que esteja por longo tempo entre os viventes; pois a visão, no tocante a toda a multidão deles, não voltará atrás; e ninguém prosperará na vida, pela sua iniqüidade.

For the seller to the sold thing turneth not, And yet among the living their life, For the vision unto all its multitude, It doth not turn back, And none by his iniquity doth strengthen his life.

14 J á tocaram a trombeta, e tudo prepararam, mas não há quem vá ã batalha; pois sobre toda a multidão deles está a minha ira.

They have blown with a trumpet to prepare the whole, And none is going to battle, For My wrath unto all its multitude.

15 F ora está a espada, e dentro a peste e a fome; o que estiver no campo morrerá ã espada; e o que estiver na cidade, devorálo-a a fome e a peste.

The sword without, And the pestilence and the famine within, He who is in a field by sword dieth, And he who is in a city, Famine and pestilence devour him.

16 E se escaparem alguns sobreviventes, estarão sobre os montes, como pombas dos vales, todos gemendo, cada um por causa da sua iniqüidade.

And escaped away have their fugitives, And they have been on the mountains As doves of the valleys, All of them make a noising -- each for his iniquity.

17 T odas as mãos se enfraquecerão, e todos os joelhos se tornarão fracos como água.

All the hands are feeble, and all knees go -- waters.

18 E se cingirão de sacos, e o terror os cobrirá; e sobre todos os rostos haverá vergonha e sobre todas as suas cabeças calva.

And they have girded on sackcloth, And covered them hath trembling, And unto all faces shame, And on all their heads -- baldness.

19 A sua prata, lançá-la-ão pelas ruas, e o seu ouro será como imundícia; nem a sua prata nem o seu ouro os poderá livrar no dia do furor do Senhor; esses metais não lhes poderão saciar a fome, nem lhes encher o estômago; pois serviram de tropeço da sua iniqüidade.

Their silver into out-places they cast, And their gold impurity becometh. Their silver and their gold is not able to deliver them, In a day of the wrath of Jehovah, Their soul they do not satisfy, And their bowels they do not fill, For the stumbling-block of their iniquity it hath been.

20 C onverteram em soberba a formosura dos seus adornos, e deles fizeram as imagens das suas abominações, e as suas coisas detestáveis; por isso eu a fiz para eles como uma coisa imunda.

As to the beauty of his ornament, For excellency He set it, And the images of their abominations, Their detestable things -- they made in it, Therefore I have given it to them for impurity,

21 E entregá-la-ei nas mãos dos estrangeiros por presa, e aos ímpios da terra por despojo; e a profanarão.

And I have given it into the hand of the strangers for a prey, And to the wicked of the land for a spoil, And they have polluted it.

22 E desviarei deles o meu rosto, e profanarão o meu lugar oculto; porque entrarão nele saqueadores, e o profanarão.

And I have turned My face from them, And they have polluted My hidden place, Yea, come into it have destroyers, and polluted it.

23 F aze uma cadeia, porque a terra está cheia de crimes de sangue, e a cidade está cheia de violência.

Make the chain; for the land Hath been full of bloody judgments, And the city hath been full of violence.

24 P elo que trarei dentre as nações os piores, que possuirão as suas casas; e farei cessar a soberba dos poderosos; e os seus lugares santos serão profanados.

And I have brought in the wicked of the nations, And they have possessed their houses, And I have caused to cease the excellency of the strong, And polluted have been those sanctifying them.

25 Q uando vier a angústia eles buscarão a paz, mas não haverá paz.

Destruction hath come, And they have sought peace, and there is none.

26 M iséria sobre miséria virá, e se levantará rumor sobre rumor; e buscarão do profeta uma visão; mas do sacerdote perecerá a lei, e dos anciãos o conselho.

Mischief on mischief cometh, and report is on report, And they have sought a vision from a prophet, And law doth perish from the priest, And counsel from the elders,

27 O rei pranteará, e o príncipe se vestirá de desolação, e as mãos do povo da terra tremerão de medo. Conforme o seu caminho lhes farei, e conforme os seus merecimentos os julgarei; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

The king doth become a mourner, And a prince putteth on desolation, And the hands of the people of the land are troubled, From their own way I deal with them, And with their own judgments I judge them, And they have known that I Jehovah!'
