¶ And the lot of the sons of Joseph fell from the Jordan of Jericho unto the water of Jericho towards the east to the wilderness that goes up from Jericho to Mount Bethel,

2 d e Betel vai para Luz, e passa ao termo dos arquitas, até Atarote;

and from Bethel going to Luz and passing the border of Archi in Ataroth,

3 d esce para o ocidente até o termo dos jafletitas, até o termo de Bete-Horom de baixo, e daí até Gezer, indo terminar no mar.

and turns to descend to the westward sea to the border of Japhleti until the border of Bethhoron the lower, and to Gezer, and comes out at the sea.

4 A ssim receberam a sua herança os filhos de José, Manassés e Efraim.

So the sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.

5 O ra, fica o termo dos filhos de Efraim, segundo as suas famílias, como se segue: para o oriente o termo da sua herança é Atarote-Adar até Bete-Horom de cima;

¶ And this was the border of the sons of Ephraim according to their families; this was the border of their inheritance on the east side from Atarothaddar unto Bethhoron the upper;

6 s ai este termo para o ocidente junto a Micmetá ao norte e vira para o oriente até Taanate-Siló, margeando-a a leste de Janoa;

and this border comes out to the sea and to Michmethah on the north side; and this border goes around eastward unto Taanathshiloh and from here passes on the east to Janohah;

7 d esce de Janoa a Atarote e a Naarate, toca em Jericó e termina no Jordão:

and from Janohah it goes down to Ataroth and to Naarath, and touches in Jericho and comes out at the Jordan.

8 D e Tapua estende-se para o ocidente até o ribeiro de Caná, e vai terminar no mar. Esta é a herança da tribo dos filhos de Efraim, segundo as suas famílias,

And from Tappuah this border turns towards the westward sea at the river Kanah and comes out at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim by their families.

9 j untamente com as cidades que se separaram para os filhos de Efraim no meio da herança dos filhos de Manassés, todas as cidades e suas aldeias.

There were also cities separated for the sons of Ephraim among the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

10 E não expulsaram aos cananeus que habitavam em Gezer; mas os cananeus ficaram habitando no meio dos efraimitas até o dia de hoje, e tornaram-se servos, sujeitos ao trabalho forçado.

And they did not drive out the Canaanite that dwelt in Gezer, but the Canaanite remained in the midst of Ephraim unto this day and served under tribute.
