1 O Senhor reina, regozije-se a terra; alegrem-se as numerosas ilhas.

¶ The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

2 N uvens e escuridão estão ao redor dele; justiça e eqüidade são a base do seu trono.

Clouds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the seat of his throne.

3 A diante dele vai um fogo que abrasa os seus inimigos em redor.

A fire shall go before him and burn up his enemies round about.

4 O s seus relâmpagos alumiam o mundo; a terra os vê e treme.

His lightnings enlightened the world; the earth saw and trembled.

5 O s montes, como cerca, se derretem na presença do Senhor, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.

The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6 O s céus anunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua glória.

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.

7 C onfundidos são todos os que servem imagens esculpidas, que se gloriam de ídolos; prostrai-vos diante dele, todos os deuses.

Let all those that serve graven images be confounded, those that boast of idols; worship him, all ye gods.

8 S ião ouve e se alegra, e regozijam-se as filhas de Judá por causa dos teus juízos, Senhor.

¶ Zion heard and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

9 P ois tu, Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra; tu és sobremodo exaltado acima de todos os deuses.

For thou, O LORD, art high above all the earth; thou art exalted far above all gods.

10 O Senhor ama aos que odeiam o mal; ele preserva as almas dos seus santos, ele os livra das mãos dos ímpios.

Ye that love the LORD are to hate evil; he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

11 A luz é semeada para o justo, e a alegria para os retos de coração.

Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart.

12 A legrai-vos, ó justos, no Senhor, e rendei graças ao seu santo nome.

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
