1 ¶ The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

O Senhor reina, regozije-se a terra; alegrem-se as numerosas ilhas.

2 C louds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the seat of his throne.

Nuvens e escuridão estão ao redor dele; justiça e eqüidade são a base do seu trono.

3 A fire shall go before him and burn up his enemies round about.

Adiante dele vai um fogo que abrasa os seus inimigos em redor.

4 H is lightnings enlightened the world; the earth saw and trembled.

Os seus relâmpagos alumiam o mundo; a terra os vê e treme.

5 T he mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

Os montes, como cerca, se derretem na presença do Senhor, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.

6 T he heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.

Os céus anunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua glória.

7 L et all those that serve graven images be confounded, those that boast of idols; worship him, all ye gods.

Confundidos são todos os que servem imagens esculpidas, que se gloriam de ídolos; prostrai-vos diante dele, todos os deuses.

8 ¶ Zion heard and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

Sião ouve e se alegra, e regozijam-se as filhas de Judá por causa dos teus juízos, Senhor.

9 F or thou, O LORD, art high above all the earth; thou art exalted far above all gods.

Pois tu, Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra; tu és sobremodo exaltado acima de todos os deuses.

10 Y e that love the LORD are to hate evil; he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

O Senhor ama aos que odeiam o mal; ele preserva as almas dos seus santos, ele os livra das mãos dos ímpios.

11 L ight is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart.

A luz é semeada para o justo, e a alegria para os retos de coração.

12 R ejoice in the LORD, ye righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Alegrai-vos, ó justos, no Senhor, e rendei graças ao seu santo nome.
