1 Y ahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of islands be glad!

O Senhor reina, regozije-se a terra; alegrem-se as numerosas ilhas.

2 C louds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

Nuvens e escuridão estão ao redor dele; justiça e eqüidade são a base do seu trono.

3 A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side.

Adiante dele vai um fogo que abrasa os seus inimigos em redor.

4 H is lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles.

Os seus relâmpagos alumiam o mundo; a terra os vê e treme.

5 T he mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

Os montes, como cerca, se derretem na presença do Senhor, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.

6 T he heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory.

Os céus anunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua glória.

7 L et all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!

Confundidos são todos os que servem imagens esculpidas, que se gloriam de ídolos; prostrai-vos diante dele, todos os deuses.

8 Z ion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced, because of your judgments, Yahweh.

Sião ouve e se alegra, e regozijam-se as filhas de Judá por causa dos teus juízos, Senhor.

9 F or you, Yahweh, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods.

Pois tu, Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra; tu és sobremodo exaltado acima de todos os deuses.

10 Y ou who love Yahweh, hate evil. He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

O Senhor ama aos que odeiam o mal; ele preserva as almas dos seus santos, ele os livra das mãos dos ímpios.

11 L ight is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

A luz é semeada para o justo, e a alegria para os retos de coração.

12 B e glad in Yahweh, you righteous people! Give thanks to his holy Name.

Alegrai-vos, ó justos, no Senhor, e rendei graças ao seu santo nome.
