1 ¶ And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who is for the sons of thy people, and it shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there were people until now, but in that time thy people shall escape, all those that are found written in the book.

Naquele tempo se levantará Miguel, o grande príncipe, que se levanta a favor dos filhos do teu povo; e haverá um tempo de tribulação, qual nunca houve, desde que existiu nação até aquele tempo; mas naquele tempo livrar-se-á o teu povo, todo aquele que for achado escrito no livro.

2 A nd many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall be awakened, some for eternal life, and some for shame and everlasting confusion.

E muitos dos que dormem no pó da terra ressuscitarão, uns para a vida eterna, e outros para vergonha e desprezo eterno.

3 A nd those that understand shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and those that teach righteousness to the multitude as the stars in perpetual eternity.

Os que forem sábios, pois, resplandecerão como o fulgor do firmamento; e os que converterem a muitos para a justiça, como as estrelas sempre e eternamente.

4 B ut thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall pass by, and knowledge shall be multiplied.

Tu, porém, Daniel, cerra as palavras e sela o livro, até o fim do tempo; muitos correrão de uma parte para outra, e a ciência se multiplicará.

5 ¶ Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, another two who stood, one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

Então eu, Daniel, olhei, e eis que estavam em pé outros dois, um de uma banda ã beira do rio, e o outro da outra banda ã beira do rio.

6 A nd one said to the Man clothed in linens, who was upon the waters of the river, When shall be the end of these wonders?

E perguntei ao homem vestido de linho, que estava por cima das águas do rio: Quanto tempo haverá até o fim destas maravilhas?

7 A nd I heard the Man clothed in linens, who was upon the waters of the river, who raised his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by the living one in the ages that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be finished, all these things shall be fulfilled.

E ouvi o homem vestido de linho, que estava por cima das águas do rio, quando levantou ao céu a mão direita e a mão esquerda, e jurou por aquele que vive eternamente que isso seria para um tempo, dois tempos, e metade de um tempo. E quando tiverem acabado de despedaçar o poder do povo santo, cumprir-se-ão todas estas coisas.

8 A nd I heard, but I did not understand; then I said, O my Lord, what is the fulfillment of these things?

Eu, pois, ouvi, mas não entendi; por isso perguntei: Senhor meu, qual será o fim destas coisas?

9 A nd he said, Go thy way, Daniel, for these words are closed up and sealed until the time of the fulfillment.

Ele respondeu: Vai-te, Daniel, porque estas palavras estão cerradas e seladas até o tempo do fim.

10 M any shall be purified and made white and purged, but the wicked shall get worse; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

Muitos se purificarão, e se embranquecerão, e serão acrisolados; mas os ímpios procederão impiamente; e nenhum deles entenderá; mas os sábios entenderão.

11 A nd from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away until the abomination of desolation, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

E desde o tempo em que o holocausto contínuo for tirado, e estabelecida a abominação desoladora, haverá mil duzentos e noventa dias.

12 B lessed is he that waits and comes unto one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

Bem-aventurado é o que espera e chega aos mil trezentos e trinta e cinco dias.

13 A nd thou shall go to the end and shalt rest, and thou shalt raise up in thy lot at the end of the days.

Tu, porém, vai-te, até que chegue o fim; pois descansarás, e estarás no teu quinhão ao fim dos dias.
