1 ¶ And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who is for the sons of thy people, and it shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there were people until now, but in that time thy people shall escape, all those that are found written in the book.

“Naquela ocasião Miguel, o grande príncipe que protege o seu povo, se levantará. Haverá um tempo de angústia como nunca houve desde o início das nações até então. Mas naquela ocasião o seu povo, todo aquele cujo nome está escrito no livro, será liberto.

2 A nd many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall be awakened, some for eternal life, and some for shame and everlasting confusion.

Multidões que dormem no pó da terra acordarão: uns para a vida eterna, outros para a vergonha, para o desprezo eterno.

3 A nd those that understand shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and those that teach righteousness to the multitude as the stars in perpetual eternity.

Aqueles que são sábios reluzirão como o fulgor do céu, e aqueles que conduzem muitos à justiça serão como as estrelas, para todo o sempre.

4 B ut thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall pass by, and knowledge shall be multiplied.

Mas você, Daniel, feche com um selo as palavras do livro até o tempo do fim. Muitos irão por todo lado em busca de maior conhecimento”.

5 ¶ Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, another two who stood, one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

Então eu, Daniel, olhei, e diante de mim estavam dois outros anjos, um na margem de cá do rio e outro na margem de lá.

6 A nd one said to the Man clothed in linens, who was upon the waters of the river, When shall be the end of these wonders?

Um deles disse ao homem vestido de linho, que estava acima das águas do rio: “Quanto tempo decorrerá antes que se cumpram essas coisas extraordinárias?”

7 A nd I heard the Man clothed in linens, who was upon the waters of the river, who raised his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by the living one in the ages that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be finished, all these things shall be fulfilled.

O homem vestido de linho, que estava acima das águas do rio, ergueu para o céu a mão direita e a mão esquerda, e eu o ouvi jurar por aquele que vive para sempre, dizendo: “Haverá um tempo, tempos e meio tempo. Quando o poder do povo santo for finalmente quebrado, todas essas coisas se cumprirão”.

8 A nd I heard, but I did not understand; then I said, O my Lord, what is the fulfillment of these things?

Eu ouvi, mas não compreendi. Por isso perguntei: “Meu senhor, qual será o resultado disso tudo?”

9 A nd he said, Go thy way, Daniel, for these words are closed up and sealed until the time of the fulfillment.

Ele respondeu: “Siga o seu caminho, Daniel, pois as palavras estão seladas e lacradas até o tempo do fim.

10 M any shall be purified and made white and purged, but the wicked shall get worse; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

Muitos serão purificados, alvejados e refinados, mas os ímpios continuarão ímpios. Nenhum dos ímpios levará isto em consideração, mas os sábios sim.

11 A nd from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away until the abomination of desolation, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

“Depois de abolido o sacrifício diário e colocado o sacrilégio terrível, haverá mil e duzentos e noventa dias.

12 B lessed is he that waits and comes unto one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

Feliz aquele que esperar e alcançar o fim dos mil trezentos e trinta e cinco dias.

13 A nd thou shall go to the end and shalt rest, and thou shalt raise up in thy lot at the end of the days.

“Quanto a você, siga o seu caminho até o fim. Você descansará e, então, no final dos dias, você se levantará para receber a herança que lhe cabe”.
