1 ¶ Woe unto those that devise iniquity and fabricate evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they put it into effect because they have power in their hands.

Ai daqueles que planejam maldade, dos que tramam o mal em suas camas! Quando alvorece, eles o executam, porque isso eles podem fazer.

2 A nd they coveted fields and stole them, and houses and took them away; so they oppressed the man and his house, even the man and his heritage.

Cobiçam terrenos e se apoderam deles; cobiçam casas e as tomam. Fazem violência ao homem e à sua família; a ele e aos seus herdeiros.

3 T herefore thus hath the LORD said; Behold, I devise an evil against this family, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye walk haughtily; for the time shall be evil.

Portanto, assim diz o Senhor: “Estou planejando contra essa gente uma desgraça, da qual vocês não poderão livrar-se. Vocês não vão mais andar com arrogância, pois será tempo de desgraça.

4 I n that time shall one take up a saying against you and lament with a doleful lamentation and say, We have been utterly destroyed; he has changed the portion of my people; how has he taken our fields! He has given and divided our fields unto others.

Naquele dia vocês serão ridicularizados; zombarão de vocês com esta triste canção: ‘Estamos totalmente arruinados; dividida foi a propriedade do meu povo. Ele tirou-a de mim! Entregou a invasores as nossas terras’”.

5 T herefore thou shalt have no one to cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

Portanto, vocês não estarão na assembléia do Senhor para a divisão da terra por sorteio. Advertência contra os Falsos Profetas

6 ¶ Do not prophesy, they say to those that prophesy: Do not prophesy unto them that they are to understand shame.

“Não preguem”, dizem os seus profetas. “Não preguem acerca dessas coisas; a desgraça não nos alcançará.” Ó descendência de Jacó,

7 O thou that calls thyself the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD shortened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walks uprightly?

é isto que está sendo falado: “O Espírito do Senhor perdeu a paciência? É assim que ele age?” “As minhas palavras fazem bem àquele cujos caminhos são retos.

8 H e who yesterday was my people is risen up as an enemy; ye pull off the robe with the garment from those that pass by as those who return from war.

Mas, ultimamente, como inimigos vocês atacam o meu povo. Além da túnica, arrancam a capa daqueles que passam confiantes, como quem volta da guerra.

9 Y e have cast the women of my people out from their pleasant houses; from their children ye have taken away my continual praise.

Vocês tiram as mulheres do meu povo de seus lares agradáveis. De seus filhos vocês removem a minha dignidade para sempre.

10 A rise and depart, for this is not your rest because it is polluted; it has become corrupted and with a great corruption.

Levantem-se, vão embora! Pois este não é o lugar de descanso, porque ele está contaminado, e arruinado, sem que haja remédio.

11 I f there is one walking in the spirit of falsehood, he shall lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

Se um mentiroso e enganador vier e disser: ‘Eu pregarei para vocês fartura de vinho e de bebida fermentada’, ele será o profeta deste povo! Promessa de Livramento

12 ¶ I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah as the flock in the midst of their fold; they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

“Vou de fato ajuntar todos vocês, ó Jacó; sim, vou reunir o remanescente de Israel. Eu os ajuntarei como ovelhas num aprisco, como um rebanho numa pastagem; haverá ruído de grande multidão.

13 T he breaker shall go up before them; they shall break through and pass through the gate and go out by it; and their king shall pass before them, the LORD at the head of them.

Aquele que abre o caminho irá adiante deles; passarão pela porta e sairão. O rei deles, o Senhor, os guiará.”
