1 ¶ The LORD reigns; he has clothed himself with majesty; the LORD has clothed himself with strength; he has girded himself: he has established the world also, that it cannot be moved.

O Senhor reina! Vestiu-se de majestade; de majestade vestiu-se o Senhor e armou-se de poder! O mundo está firme e não se abalará.

2 F rom this time on, thy throne shall never be moved; thou art eternal.

O teu trono está firme desde a antigüidade; tu existes desde a eternidade.

3 T he rivers have lifted up, O LORD; the rivers have lifted up their voice; the rivers lift up their waves.

As águas se levantaram, Senhor, as águas levantaram a voz; as águas levantaram seu bramido.

4 T he LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

Mais poderoso do que o estrondo das águas impetuosas, mais poderoso do que as ondas do mar é o Senhor nas alturas.

5 T hy testimonies are very sure; holiness becomes thy house, O LORD, for ever.

Os teus mandamentos permanecem firmes e fiéis; a santidade, Senhor, é o ornamento perpétuo da tua casa.
