1 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

Disse o Senhor a Moisés:

2 C ommand the sons of Israel that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

“Ordene aos israelitas que lhe tragam azeite puro de oliva batida para as lâmpadas, para que fiquem sempre acesas.

3 O utside the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the testimony, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually; it shall be a perpetual statute for all your ages.

Na Tenda do Encontro, do lado de fora do véu que esconde as tábuas da aliança, Arão manterá as lâmpadas continuamente acesas diante do Senhor, desde o entardecer até a manhã seguinte. Este é um decreto perpétuo para as suas gerações.

4 H e shall order the lamps upon the pure lampstand before the LORD continually.

Mantenha sempre em ordem as lâmpadas no candelabro de ouro puro perante o Senhor.

5 A nd thou shalt take fine flour and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two-tenth deals.

“Apanhe da melhor farinha e asse doze pães, usando dois jarros para cada pão.

6 A nd thou shalt set them in two orders, six in each order, upon the clean table before the LORD.

Coloque-os em duas fileiras, com seis pães em cada uma, sobre a mesa de ouro puro perante o Senhor.

7 A nd thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each order, that it may be on the bread for an aroma and incense unto the LORD.

Junto a cada fileira coloque um pouco de incenso puro como porção memorial para representar o pão e ser uma oferta ao Senhor preparada no fogo.

8 E very sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually: an everlasting covenant of the sons of Israel.

Esses pães serão colocados regularmente perante o Senhor, cada sábado, em nome dos israelitas, como aliança perpétua.

9 A nd it shall belong to Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in the holy place, for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD on fire, by a perpetual statute.

Pertencem a Arão e a seus descendentes, que os comerão num lugar sagrado, porque é parte santíssima de sua porção regular das ofertas dedicadas ao Senhor, preparadas no fogo. É decreto perpétuo”. O Castigo da Blasfêmia

10 ¶ In that season the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the sons of Israel; and this son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

Aconteceu que o filho de uma israelita e de um egípcio saiu e foi para o meio dos israelitas. No acampamento houve uma briga entre ele e um israelita.

11 a nd the Israelite woman’s son pronounced the Name and cursed; and they brought him unto Moses. And his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

O filho da israelita blasfemou o Nome com uma maldição; então o levaram a Moisés. O nome de sua mãe era Selomite, filha de Dibri, da tribo de Dã.

12 A nd they put him in ward that the mind of the LORD might be showed them.

Deixaram-no preso até que a vontade do Senhor lhes fosse declarada.

13 A nd the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

Então o Senhor disse a Moisés:

14 B ring forth the one that has blasphemed outside the camp and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

“Leve o que blasfemou para fora do acampamento. Todos aqueles que o ouviram colocarão as mãos sobre a cabeça dele, e a comunidade toda o apedrejará.

15 A nd thou shalt speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, The man that speaks evil of his God shall bear his sin.

Diga aos israelitas: Se alguém amaldiçoar seu Deus, será responsável pelo seu pecado;

16 A nd he that pronounces the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him; the same with the stranger as with the natural, if he pronounces the Name, he shall be put to death.

quem blasfemar o nome do Senhor terá que ser executado. A comunidade toda o apedrejará. Seja estrangeiro, seja natural da terra, se blasfemar o Nome, terá que ser morto.

17 L ikewise he that kills any man shall surely be put to death.

“Se alguém ferir uma pessoa ao ponto de matá-la, terá que ser executado.

18 A nd he that kills an animal shall make it good: animal for animal.

Quem matar um animal fará restituição: vida por vida.

19 A nd if a man causes a blemish in his neighbour; as he has done, so shall it be done to him;

Se alguém ferir seu próximo, deixando-o defeituoso, assim como fez lhe será feito:

20 b reach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he has caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

fratura por fratura, olho por olho, dente por dente. Assim como feriu o outro, deixando-o defeituoso, assim também será ferido.

21 H e that kills an animal shall restore it, but he that kills a man shall be put to death.

Quem matar um animal fará restituição, mas quem matar um homem será morto.

22 Y e shall have one manner of law: as for the stranger, so shall it be for the natural; for I am the LORD your God.

Vocês terão a mesma lei para o estrangeiro e para o natural da terra. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês”.

23 A nd Moses spoke to the sons of Israel that they should bring forth the one that had blasphemed out of the camp and stone him with stones. And the sons of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.

Depois que Moisés falou aos israelitas, levaram o que blasfemou para fora do acampamento e o apedrejaram. Os israelitas fizeram conforme o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
