1 ¶ When the LORD shall turn again the captivity of Zion, we shall be like those that dream.

Quando o Senhor trouxe os cativos de volta a Sião, foi como um sonho.

2 T hen our mouth shall be filled with laughter and our tongue with singing; then they shall say among the Gentiles, The LORD has done great things with them.

Então a nossa boca encheu-se de riso, e a nossa língua de cantos de alegria. Até nas outras nações se dizia: “O Senhor fez coisas grandiosas por este povo”.

3 T he LORD has done great things with us, of which we shall be glad.

Sim, coisas grandiosas fez o Senhor por nós, por isso estamos alegres.

4 ¶ Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

Senhor, restaura-nos, assim como enches o leito dos ribeiros no deserto.

5 T hose that sow with tears shall reap with joy.

Aqueles que semeiam com lágrimas, com cantos de alegria colherão.

6 H e that goes forth and weeps, bearing the precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Aquele que sai chorando enquanto lança a semente, voltará com cantos de alegria, trazendo os seus feixes.
