1 O uve, ó Deus, a minha voz na minha queixa; preserva a minha voz na minha queixa; preserva a minha vida do horror do inimigo.

¶ Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer; preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

2 E sconde-me do secreto conselho dos maus, e do ajuntamento dos que praticam a iniqüidade,

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked, from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

3 o s quais afiaram a sua língua como espada, e armaram por suas flechas palavras amargas.

Who whet their tongue like a sword and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words

4 P ara em lugares ocultos atirarem sobre o íntegro; disparam sobre ele repentinamente, e não temem.

That they may shoot in secret at the perfect; suddenly do they shoot at him and fear not.

5 F irmam-se em mau intento; falam de armar laços secretamente, e dizem: Quem nos verá?

They encourage themselves in an evil matter; they attempt to hide the snares; they say, Who shall see them?

6 P lanejam iniqüidades; ocultam planos bem traçados; pois o íntimo e o coração do homem são inescrutáveis.

They search out iniquities; they perfect and put into effect that which they have invented in the inward thought of each one of them and that which they have devised in their heart.

7 M as Deus disparará sobre eles uma seta, e de repente ficarão feridos.

¶ But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

8 A ssim serão levados a tropeçar, por causa das suas próprias línguas; todos aqueles que os virem fugirão.

So they shall make their own council and agreements to fall upon themselves; all that see them shall flee away.

9 E todos os homens temerão, e anunciarão a obra de Deus, e considerarão a obra de Deus, e considerarão prudentemente os seus feitos.

And all men shall fear and shall declare the work of God, for they shall understand his doing.

10 O justo se alegrará no Senhor e confiará nele, e todos os de coração reto cantarão louvores.

The righteous shall be glad in the LORD and shall become secure in him, and all the upright in heart shall glory in him.
