1 ¶ In those days, as before, there was a great multitude, and they had nothing to eat; Jesus called his disciples unto him and said unto them,

През онези дни, когато пак се беше събрало голямо множество и нямаха какво да ядат, Исус повика учениците Си и им каза:

2 I have mercy on the multitude because they have now been with me three days and have nothing to eat;

Жал Ми е за народа, защото три дни вече седят при Мен и нямат какво да ядат;

3 A nd if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way, for some of them came from afar.

и ако ги разпусна гладни по домовете им, ще им прималее по пътя; а някои от тях са дошли отдалеч.

4 A nd his disciples answered him, From where can anyone satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

И учениците Му отговориха: Откъде ще може някой да ги насити с хляб в това уединено място?

5 A nd he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

Той ги попита: Колко хляба имате? А те казаха: Седем.

6 A nd he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground; and taking the seven loaves and having given thanks, he broke them and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.

И заповяда на народа да насядат по земята; и като взе седемте хляба, благодари, разчупи и даде на учениците Си, за да ги сложат. И ги сложиха пред народа.

7 A nd they also had a few small fishes; and he blessed them and commanded to set them also before them.

Имаха и малко рибки; и като ги благослови, заповяда да ги сложат и тях.

8 S o they ate and were filled; and they took up of the broken food that was left seven baskets.

И ядоха и се наситиха; и вдигнаха останалите къшеи - седем кошници.

9 A nd those that had eaten were about four thousand; and he dispatched them.

А онези, които ядоха, бяха около четири хиляди души; и ги разпусна.

10 ¶ And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

И веднага влезе в ладията с учениците Си и дойде в Далманутанските околии. Фарисеите искат знамения

11 A nd the Pharisees came forth and began to argue with him, demanding of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

А фарисеите излязоха и започнаха да се препират с Него; и като Го изпитваха, поискаха от Него знамение от небето.

12 A nd crying out in his spirit, he said, Why does this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

А Той въздъхна дълбоко от сърце и каза: Защо това поколение иска знамение? Истина ви казвам: На това поколение няма да се даде знамение.

13 A nd he left them and, entering into the ship again, departed to the other side.

И ги остави, влезе пак в ладията и премина на отсрещната страна.

14 N ow the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

Но учениците Му забравиха да вземат хляб и нямаха при себе си в ладията повече от един хляб.

15 A nd he commanded them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod.

И Той им заръча: Внимавайте, пазете се от кваса на фарисеите и от кваса на Ирод.

16 A nd they argued among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.

И те разискваха помежду си, като казваха: Това е, защото нямаме хляб.

17 A nd as Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why argue ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not consider nor understand? is your heart yet blind?

А Исус, като разбра това, им каза: Защо разисквате за това, че нямате хляб? Още ли не разбирате, нито схващате? Вкаменено ли е сърцето ви?

18 H aving eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

Като имате очи, не виждате ли? И като имате уши, не чувате ли? И не помните ли?

19 W hen I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They said unto him, Twelve.

Когато разчупих петте хляба на петте хиляди души, колко коша, пълни с къшеи, вдигнахте? Казаха Му: Дванадесет.

20 A nd when the seven loaves among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

И когато разчупих седемте на четирите хиляди души, колко кошници, пълни с къшеи, вдигнахте? Казаха Му: Седем.

21 A nd he said unto them, How is it that ye do not yet understand?

И им каза: Още ли не разбирате? Изцеляване на слепеца във Витсаида

22 ¶ And he came to Bethsaida, and they bring a blind man unto him and beseech him to touch him.

Дойдоха във Витсаида. И доведоха при Него един слепец и Му се молеха да се докосне до него.

23 S o, taking the blind man by the hand, he led him out of the town; and spitting into his eyes and putting his hands upon them, he asked him if he saw anything.

А Той хвана слепеца за ръка, изведе го вън от селото и като плюна на очите му, положи на него ръце и го попита: Виждаш ли нещо?

24 A nd looking, he said, I see men; I see that they walk as trees.

И той, като повдигна очи, каза: Виждам хората, защото виждам неща като дървета, които ходят.

25 A fter that, he put his hands again upon his eyes and caused him to see; and he was whole and saw everyone, far away and clearly.

После пак положи ръце на очите му; и той втренчи очите си, оздравя и виждаше всичко ясно.

26 A nd he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

Исус го изпрати у дома му и каза: Не влизай в селото, нито казвай това на някого в селото. Петър изповядва вярата в Исус Христос

27 ¶ And Jesus and his disciples went out into the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?

И Исус излезе с учениците Си по селата на Цезарея Филипова; и по пътя попита учениците Си: Какво казват хората: Кой съм Аз?

28 A nd they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others, One of the prophets.

А те Му отговориха: Йоан Кръстител; други - Илия; а трети - един от пророците.

29 T hen he said unto them, But who say ye that I am? And Peter answered and said unto him, Thou art the Christ!

Тогава ги попита: А вие какво казвате: Кой съм Аз? Петър Му отговори: Ти си Христос.

30 A nd he commanded them that they should tell no one of this regarding him.

И им заръча на никого да не казват за Него.

31 A nd he began to teach them that it was convenient that the Son of man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and of the princes of the priests and of the scribes, and be killed and after three days rise again.

И започна да ги учи как Човешкият Син трябва много да пострада и да бъде отхвърлен от старейшините, главните свещеници, книжниците, и да бъде убит, и след три дни да възкръсне.

32 A nd he spoke this word clearly. Then Peter took him and began to rebuke him.

И говореше явно тези думи. А Петър Го дръпна настрана и започна да Го мъмри.

33 A nd he, turning about and looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get thyself from me, Satan, for thou knowest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.

А Той, като се обърна и погледна учениците Си, смъмра Петър, като каза: Махни се, Сатано, и иди зад Мене, защото не мислиш за Божиите неща, но за човешките неща. Следване на Исус Христос със себеотрицание

34 A nd calling the multitude unto him with his disciples, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

И повика народа заедно с учениците Си и им каза: Ако иска някой да дойде след Мене, нека се отрече от себе си, нека вдигне кръста си и така нека Ме следва.

35 F or whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

Защото, който иска да спаси живота си, ще го изгуби; а който изгуби живота си заради Мен и за благовестието, ще го спаси.

36 F or what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

Понеже какво се ползва човек, като спечели целия свят, а изгуби живота си?

37 O r what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Защото какво би дал човек в замяна на живота си?

38 W hosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Защото ако се срамува някой заради Мен и заради думите Ми в това блудно и грешно поколение, то и Човешкият Син ще се срамува от него, когато дойде в славата на Своя Отец със святите ангели.
