1 ¶ He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

(По слав. 90.) Който живее под покрива на Всевишния, той ще пребъдва под сянката на Всемогъщия.

2 I will say of the LORD, He is my hope and my fortress: my God; in him will I secure myself.

Ще казвам за Господа: Той е прибежище мое и крепост моя, Бог мой, на Когото уповавам.

3 S urely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the mortal pestilence.

Защото Той ще те избавя от примката на ловеца и от гибелен мор.

4 H e shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings thou shalt be secure: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

С перата Си ще те покрива; и под крилете Му ще се скриеш; Неговата вярност е щит и закрила.

5 T hou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day,

Няма да се боиш от нощен страх, от стрелата, която лети денем,

6 n or for the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.

от мор, който идва в тъмнина, от погибел, която опустошава сред пладне.

7 T housands shall fall at thy side and ten thousands at thy right hand, but it shall not come near thee.

Хиляда души ще падат от страната ти и десет хиляди - до десницата ти, но при тебе няма да се приближи.

8 S urely with thine eyes thou shalt behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Само с очите си ще гледаш и ще видиш възмездието на нечестивите.

9 ¶ Because thou hast made the LORD, who is my hope, even the most High, thy habitation,

Понеже ти си казал: Господ е мое прибежище, и си направил Всевишния свое обиталище,

10 n o evil shall befall thee, neither shall any plague come near thy dwelling.

затова няма да те сполети никакво зло, нито ще се приближи язва до шатъра ти.

11 F or he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.

Защото ще заповяда на ангелите Си за тебе да те пазят във всичките ти пътища.

12 T hey shall bear thee up in their hands lest thy foot stumble against a stone.

На ръце ще те вдигат, да не би да удариш о камък крака си.

13 T hou shalt tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Ще настъпиш лъв и аспида; ще стъпчеш млад лъв и змия.

14 B ecause he has set his will upon me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known my name.

Понеже той е положил в Мене любовта си, казва Господ, затова ще го избавя; ще го поставя в безопасност, защото е познал името Ми.

15 H e shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and glorify him.

Той ще Ме призове и Аз ще го послушам; с него ще съм, когато е в бедствие; ще го избавя и ще го прославя.

16 W ith long life I will satisfy him and show him my saving health.

Ще го наситя с дългоденствие и ще му покажа спасението, което върша.
