1 ¶ And Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there, and, behold, the redeemer of whom Boaz spoke came by unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! Come here and sit down. And he came and sat down.

Вооз се изкачи на портата и седна там. И, ето, мина близкият сродник, за когото Вооз беше говорил. Вооз му каза: Господине, свърни, седни тук. И той свърна и седна.

2 T hen he took ten men of the elders of the city and said, Sit down here. And they sat down.

Тогава Вооз събра десет мъже от градските старейшини и им каза: Седнете тук. И те седнаха.

3 A nd he said unto the redeemer, Naomi, that is come again out of the field of Moab, sold a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s,

След това каза на сродника: Ноемин, която се върна от Моавската земя, продава нивата, дела, който принадлежеше на брат ни Елимелех,

4 a nd I decided to cause thee to know this and tell thee to take it before the inhabitants and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it, but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me that I may know, for there is no one to redeem it besides thee, and I after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.

и аз реших да ти известя и да ти предложа: Купи го в присъствието на седящите тук, пред старейшините на народа ми. Ако искаш да го откупиш като сродник, откупи го. Но ако не искаш да го откупиш, кажи ми, за да зная, защото освен тебе няма друг, който да го откупи като сродник; и аз съм следващият. И той отговори: Аз ще го откупя.

5 T hen Boaz replied, The day that thou dost receive the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must also receive Ruth, the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.

И Вооз каза: В деня, когато купиш нивата от Ноемин, трябва да я купиш и от моавката Рут, жена на починалия, за да възстановиш името му над наследството му.

6 A nd the redeemer said, I cannot redeem it for myself lest I ruin my own inheritance; redeem thou; I cede my right to you, for I shall not be able to redeem it.

Тогава сродникът каза: Не мога да изпълня длъжността на сродник, да не би да навредя на собственото си наследство; ти приеми върху себе си моето право да откупя, защото не мога да откупя нивата.

7 N ow for a long time in Israel there had been this custom concerning redemption or contracts, that for the confirmation of all matters: one plucked off his shoe and gave it to his neighbour, and this was a testimony in Israel.

А по онова време, за да се потвърди всяко дело по откупуване и размяна в Израел, ето какъв беше обичаят: човекът събуваше обувката си и я даваше на другия; и това служеше за свидетелство в Израел.

8 T herefore, the former owner of the right of redemption said unto Boaz, Buy it thyself. So he drew off his shoe.

Затова сродникът, като каза на Вооз: Купи го ти за себе си, си събу обувката.

9 ¶ And Boaz said unto the elders and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.

Тогава Вооз каза на старейшините и на целия народ: Днес сте свидетели, че купувам от Ноемин всичко, което беше на Елимелех, и всичко, което беше на Хелеон и Маалон.

10 M oreover, I also take Ruth, the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, as my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance that the name of the dead not be cut off from among his brethren and from the gate of his place. Ye shall be witnesses of this today.

А също и моавката Рут, жената на Маалон, получих за жена, за да възстановя името на починалия над наследството му, за да не се изличи името на починалия изсред братята му и в града, в който е живял. Вие сте свидетели днес.

11 A nd all the people that were in the gate and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thy house like Rachel and like Leah, who built the house of Israel; and be thou a man of valour in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem;

И целият народ, който беше при портата, заедно със старейшините казаха: Свидетели сме. Господ да даде на жената, която влиза в дома ти, да е като Рахил и като Лия, двете, които са съградили Израелевия дом. Да станеш силен в Ефрат и да бъдеш известен във Витлеем;

12 l et thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bore unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman.

от потомството, което Господ ще ти даде от тази млада жена, нека домът ти бъде като дома на Фарес, когото Тамар роди на Юда. Вооз и неговото потомство

13 ¶ So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife, and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son.

И така, Вооз взе Рут и тя му стана жена. Като влезе при нея, Господ ѝ даде да зачене и тя роди син.

14 A nd the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, who has not left thee this day without a redeemer, whose name shall be famous in Israel.

А жените казаха на Ноемин: Благословен Господ, Който днес не те остави без наследник; нека бъде прославено Името Му в Израел.

15 A nd he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy soul and a sustainer in thy old age, for thy daughter-in-law, whom thou doth love, who is better to thee than seven sons, has given birth.

Този син ще ти бъде обновление в живота и прехрана в старините ти; защото го роди снаха ти, която те обича, която е по-желана за теб от седем сина.

16 A nd Naomi took the child and laid it in her bosom and was his nurse.

И Ноемин взе детето и го сложи в скута си, и се грижеше за него.

17 A nd the women, her neighbours, named him, saying, There is a son born to Naomi, and they called his name Obed. This is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

И съседките му дадоха име, като казаха: Син се роди на Ноемин. И го нарекоха Овид. Той е баща на Есей, бащата на Давид.

18 N ow these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,

Ето родословието на Фарес: На Фарес се роди Есрон,

19 a nd Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,

на Есрон се роди Арам, на Арам се роди Аминадав,

20 a nd Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,

на Аминадав се роди Наасон, на Наасон се роди Салмон,

21 a nd Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,

на Салмон се роди Вооз, на Вооз се роди Овид,

22 a nd Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

на Овид се роди Есей, а на Есей се роди Давид.
