1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and the Word was God.

В начало беше Словото; и Словото беше у Бога; и Словото беше Бог.

2 T he same was in the beginning with the God.

То в начало беше у Бога.

3 A ll things were made by him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Всичко това стана чрез Него; и без Него не е станало нищо от това, което е станало.

4 I n him was life, and the life was the light of men.

В Него беше животът и животът беше светлина на човеците.

5 ¶ And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not.

И светлината свети в тъмнината; а тъмнината не я обхвана. Йоан - предтеча на Спасителя

6 T here was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Яви се човек, изпратен от Бога, на име Йоан.

7 T he same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Той дойде за свидетелство, да свидетелства за Светлината, за да повярват всички чрез него.

8 H e was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of the Light.

Той не беше светлината, но дойде да свидетелства за Светлината. Бог се въплътява

9 T hat Word was the true Light, which lightens every man that comes into this world.

Истинската Светлина, която осветява всеки човек, идваше на света.

10 H e was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Той беше в света; и светът чрез Него стана; но светът не Го позна.

11 H e came unto his own, and his own received him not.

При Своите Си дойде, но Своите Му не Го приеха.

12 B ut as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name,

А на онези, които Го приеха, даде право да станат Божии чеда, т. е. на тези, които вярват в Неговото име;

13 w ho are not born of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

които се родиха не от кръв, нито от плътско пожелание, нито от мъжко пожелание, но от Бога.

14 A nd the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

И Словото стана плът и живя между нас; и видяхме славата Му, слава като на Единородния от Отца, пълно с благодат и истина.

15 ¶ John bore witness of him and cried, saying, This is he of whom I spoke, He that comes after me is preferred before me, for he was before me.

Йоан свидетелства за Него и казваше със силен глас: Ето Този, за Когото говорих: Този, Който идва след мене, стана по-горен от мене, понеже е бил преди мене.

16 A nd of his fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Защото ние всички приехме от Неговата пълнота и благодат върху благодат;

17 F or the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth of God came through Jesus, the Christ.

понеже законът беше даден чрез Моисей, а благодатта и истината дойдоха чрез Исус Христос.

18 N o man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

Никой никога не е видял Бога; Единородният Син, Който е в лоното на Отца, Той Го изяви. Свидетелството

19 ¶ And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

И това е свидетелството, което Йоан даде, когато юдеите пратиха до него свещеници и левити от Йерусалим да го попитат: Ти кой си?

20 A nd he confessed and denied not, but confessed, I am not the Christ.

Той изповяда и не отрече, а изповяда: Не съм аз Христос.

21 A nd they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he said, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.

И го попитаха: Тогава кой си ти ? Илия ли си? Той каза: Не съм. Пророкът ли си? И отговори: Не съм.

22 T hen said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

Тогава му казаха: Кой си, за да дадем отговор на онези, които са ни пратили. Какво казваш за себе си?

23 H e said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.

Той каза: Аз съм "глас на един, който вика в пустинята: Прав направете пътя за Господа", както каза пророк Исая.

24 A nd those who were sent were of the Pharisees.

А изпратените бяха от фарисеите.

25 A nd they asked him and said unto him, Why dost thou baptize then if thou art not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?

И го попитаха: А защо кръщаваш, ако не си Христос, нито Илия, нито Пророкът?

26 J ohn answered them, saying, I baptize with water, but there stands one among you, whom ye know not;

Йоан им отговори: Аз кръщавам с вода. Но сред вас стои Един, Когото вие не познавате.

27 h e it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

Този, Който идва след мене, Който беше преди мене, на Когото аз не съм достоен да развържа ремъка на сандалите Му.

28 T hese things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Това стана във Витания отвъд Йордан, където Йоан кръщаваше.

29 ¶ The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

На следващия ден Йоан видя Исус, че идва към него, и каза: Ето Божия Агнец, Който поема греха на света!

30 T his is he of whom I said, After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.

Този е, за Когото казах: След мен идва Човек, Който стана по-горен от мене, защото е бил преди мен.

31 A nd I knew him not; but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

И аз не Го познавах; но дойдох и кръщавам с вода, за да бъде Той изявен на Израел.

32 A nd John gave testimony, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

И Йоан свидетелства, като каза: Видях Духът да слиза като гълъб от небето и да почива върху Него.

33 A nd I knew him not; but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, the same is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

И аз не Го познавах; но Онзи, Който ме прати да кръщавам с вода, Той ми каза: Онзи, над Когото видиш да слиза Духът и да почива върху Него, Той е, Който кръщава със Святия Дух.

34 A nd I have seen and have given testimony that this is the Son of God.

И видях и свидетелствам, че Този е Божият Син. Първите апостоли

35 A nd again the next day John stood, and two of his disciples,

На следващия ден Йоан пак стоеше с двама от учениците си.

36 a nd looking upon Jesus as he walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!

И като видя Исус, когато минаваше, каза: Ето Божия Агнец!

37 ¶ And the two disciples heard him speak and followed Jesus.

И двамата ученици го чуха да говори така и отидоха след Исус.

38 T hen Jesus turned and saw them following and said unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi (which is to say, being interpreted, Master), where dwellest thou?

А Исус, като се обърна и видя, че идват след Него, ги попита: Какво търсите? А те Му казаха: Равви (което значи Учителю), къде живееш?

39 H e said unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt and abode with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.

Каза им: Елате и ще видите. И така, дойдоха и видяха къде живее, и този ден останаха при Него. Беше около десетия час.

40 O ne of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, brother of Simon Peter.

Единият от двамата, които чуха от Йоан за Него и Го последваха, беше Андрей, брат на Симон Петър.

41 H e first found his own brother Simon and said unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

Той първо намери своя брат Симон и му каза: Намерихме Месия (което значи Христос).

42 A nd he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jonah: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Като го заведе при Исус, Той се вгледа в него и каза: Ти си Симон, син на Йона; ти ще се наричаш Кифа (което значи Петър).

43 ¶ The day following Jesus desired to go forth into Galilee and found Philip and said unto him, Follow me.

На другия ден Исус реши да отиде в Галилея; и намери Филип и му каза: Ела след Мен.

44 N ow Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

А Филип беше от Витсаида, от града на Андрей и Петър.

45 P hilip found Nathanael and said unto him, We have found him of whom Moses in the law and the prophets wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Филип намери Натанаил и му каза: Намерихме Онзи, за Когото писа Моисей в закона и за Когото писаха пророците, Исус, Йосифовия син, Който е от Назарет.

46 A nd Nathanael said unto him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said unto him, Come and see.

Натанаил му каза: От Назарет може ли да произлезе нещо добро? Филип му отвърна: Ела и виж.

47 J esus saw Nathanael coming to him and said of him, Behold a true Israelite, in whom is no guile!

Исус видя Натанаил да идва към Него и каза за него: Ето истински израелтянин, у когото няма лукавство.

48 N athanael said unto him, From where dost thou know me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Натанаил Го попита: Откъде ме познаваш? Исус му отговори: Преди да те повика Филип, те видях, когато беше под смокинята.

49 N athanael answered and said unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Натанаил му каза: Учителю, Ти си Божият Син, Ти си Израелевият Цар.

50 J esus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

Исус му отговори: Понеже ти казах: Видях те под смокинята, затова ли вярваш? Повече от това ще видиш.

51 A nd he said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see the heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

И му каза: Истина, истина ви казвам: Отсега ще виждате небето отворено и Божиите ангели да се възкачват и слизат над Човешкия Син.
