1 ¶ The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, which is the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;

2 t his spoke Jeremiah the prophet unto all the people of Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,

което слово пророк Йеремия изговори на целия Юдейски народ и на всичките йерусалимски жители, като каза:

3 F rom the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, which are twenty-three years, the word of the LORD has come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and giving notice; but ye have not hearkened.

От тринадесетата година на Юдейския цар Йосия, Амоновия син, дори до днес, тези двадесет и три години Господнето слово идваше към мен; и аз ви говорих, като ставах рано и говорех; но вие не послушахте.

4 A nd the LORD has sent unto you all his slaves the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear,

Господ прати до вас всичките Си слуги, пророците, като ставаше рано и ги пращаше (но не послушахте, нито приклонихте ухо да послушате),

5 w hen they said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:

и те казаха: Върнете се сега всеки от лошия си път и от злите си дела и населявайте земята, която Господ даде на вас и на бащите ви отвека и довека;

6 a nd do not go after other gods to serve them and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.

и не отивайте след други богове, за да им служите и да им се кланяте, и не Ме разгневявайте с делата на ръцете си; и Аз няма да ви сторя зло.

7 Y et ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD, that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

Но вие не Ме послушахте, казва Господ, като Ме разгневявахте с делата на ръцете си за собственото си зло.

8 ¶ Therefore thus saith the LORD of the hosts: Because ye have not heard my words,

Затова така казва Господ на Силите: Понеже не послушахте думите Ми,

9 b ehold, I will send and take all the families of the north wind, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my slave, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these nations round about and will utterly destroy them and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

ето, Аз ще изпратя и ще взема всички северни родове, казва Господ, също и слугата Ми Навуходоносор, вавилонския цар, и ще ги доведа против тази земя и против нейните жители, и против всички тези околни народи; ще ги обрека на изтребление и ще ги направя за учудване и за подсвиркване, и ще ги превърна във вечна пустота.

10 A nd I will cause them to lose the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.

При това ще направя да престане между тях гласът на веселието и гласът на радостта, гласът на младоженеца и гласът на невястата, шумът на мелницата и светенето на светилото.

11 A nd this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment; and these Gentiles shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

И цялата тази земя ще бъде пуста и за учудване; и тези народи ще робуват на вавилонския цар седемдесет години.

12 A nd it shall come to pass when seventy years are accomplished, that I will visit upon the king of Babylon and upon that people their own evil, said the LORD and upon the land of the Chaldeans and will make it perpetual desolations.

А когато се свършат седемдесетте години, Аз ще накажа вавилонския цар и онзи народ за беззаконието им, казва Господ, също и Халдейската земя, която ще превърна във вечна пустота.

13 A nd I will bring upon that land all my words which I have spoken against it, with all that is written in this book, prophesied by Jeremiah against all the Gentiles.

И ще докарам върху онази земя всичките неща, които съм говорил против нея, всичко, което има писано в тази книга, което Йеремия пророкува против всички народи.

14 F or many Gentiles and great kings shall serve themselves of them also; and I will recompense them according to their deeds and according to the works of their own hands.

Защото много народи и велики царе ще поробят и тях; Аз ще им въздам според делата им и според работата на ръцете им.

15 ¶ For thus hath the LORD God of Israel said unto me: Take the wine cup of this fury from my hand and cause all the Gentiles, to whom I send thee, to drink of it.

Защото така ми каза Господ, Израелевият Бог: Вземи от ръката Ми тази чаша с виното на яростта Ми и напой от нея всички народи, до които те пращам.

16 A nd they shall drink and be moved and become mad, before the sword that I will send among them.

И като пият, ще политат и обезумяват поради меча, който ще изпратя сред тях.

17 T hen took I the cup from the LORD’s hand and made all the Gentiles to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me,

Тогава взех чашата от ръката на Господа и напоих всички народи, при които ме беше изпратил Господ, а именно:

18 u nto Jerusalem and to the cities of Judah and to its kings and to its princes, that I might place them into desolation, into astonishment, and into hissing, and into a curse, as this day,

Йерусалим и Юдейските градове с царете им, и първенците им, за да ги превърна в пустота и за да станат за учудване, подсвиркване и проклятие, както са днес;

19 u nto Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his slaves and to his princes and to all his people,

египетския цар фараон, със слугите му, първенците му и целия му народ;

20 a nd to all the mingled people and to all the kings of the land of Uz and to all the kings of the land of the Philistines and to Ashkelon and to Gaza and to Ekron and to the remnant of Ashdod,

всички разноплеменни народи, всички царе на земята Уз и всички царе на Филистимската земя, с Аскалон, Газа, Акарон и останалите от Азот;

21 t o Edom and to Moab and to the sons of Ammon,

Едом, Моав и амонците;

22 a nd to all the kings of Tyre and to all the kings of Zidon and to all the kings of the isles which are of that side of the sea,

и всички тирски царе, всички сидонски царе и царете на островите оттатък морето;

23 a nd to Dedan, and to Tema and to Buz and to all that are in the utmost corners,

Дедана, Тема, Вуза и всички, които си стрижат издадените части на косата:

24 a nd to all the kings of Arabia and to all the kings of the mingled peoples, the Arabia that dwells in the desert,

всички арабски царе и всички царе на разноплеменните народи, които населяват пустинята;

25 a nd to all the kings of Zimri and to all the kings of Elam and to all the kings of the Medes,

всички зимрийски царе, всички еламски царе и всички мидски царе;

26 a nd to all the kings of the north wind, those of far and those of near, one with another and to all the kingdoms of the earth, which are upon the face of the earth and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

всички северни царе - близките и далечните, едни с други, и всички царства на света, които са по лицето на земята, а царят на Сесах ще пие след тях.

27 T herefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath the LORD of the hosts, the God of Israel said; Drink and be drunken, and vomit and fall, and ye shall not rise in the presence of the sword which I send among you.

Затова ще им кажеш: Така казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Пийте и се опийте, повръщайте, паднете и не ставайте вече, поради меча, който ще изпратя сред вас.

28 A nd it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup from thine hand to drink, then thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said: Ye must certainly drink.

И ако откажат да вземат чашата от ръката ти и да пият, тогава ще им кажеш: Така казва Господ на Силите: Непременно ще пиете;

29 F or, Behold, I begin to bring evil upon the city which is called by my name, and should ye only be absolved? Ye shall not be absolved, for I bring the sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, said the LORD of the hosts.

защото, ето, Аз докарвам зло, като започвам от града, който се нарича по Моето име; та вие ли ще останете съвсем ненаказани? Няма да останете ненаказани, защото Аз ще призова меч върху всички земни жители, казва Господ на Силите.

30 ¶ Therefore, thou shalt prophesy against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high and from the habitation of his holiness he shall utter his voice; in fury he shall roar upon his habitation; he shall sing the song of those that tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

Затова ти пророкувай против тях всички тези неща, като им кажеш: Господ ще изреве отгоре и ще издаде гласа Си от святото Си обиталище; ще изреве силно против паството Си; ще извика като онези, които тъпчат грозде, против всички жители на света.

31 T he noise came even to the ends of the earth; for it is judgment of the LORD with the Gentiles; he is the Judge of all flesh; he will give those that are wicked to the sword, said the LORD.

Екотът ще стигне и до краищата на света, защото Господ има съд с народите; Той ще се съди с всяка твар, ще предаде нечестивите на меч, казва Господ.

32 T hus saith the LORD of the hosts, Behold, the evil goes forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

Така казва Господ на Силите: Ето, зло ще излезе от народ към народ и голям ураган ще се повдигне от краищата на земята.

33 A nd the slain of the LORD shall be in that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be as dung upon the ground.

В онзи ден убитите от Господа ще лежат от единия до другия край на земята; няма да бъдат оплакани, нито прибрани, нито погребани; ще бъдат за тор по повърхността на земята.

34 H owl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the dust, ye principals of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like an enticing vessel.

Ридайте, пастири, и извикайте, и вие, началници на стадото, валяйте се в пръстта; защото напълно настана времето, за да бъдете заклани и разпръснати, и ще паднете като отбран съд.

35 A nd the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor for the principals of the flock to escape.

И пастирите няма да имат средство за избягване, нито началниците на стадото - за избавление.

36 T he voice of the cry of the shepherds and a howling of the principals of the flock shall be heard! For the LORD has spoiled their pasture.

Глас на вопъл от пастирите и виене от началниците на стадото! - Защото Господ опустошава пасбището им.

37 A nd the quiet pastures shall be cut off by the fierce anger of the LORD.

И мирните кошари занемяха от пламенния гняв на Господа.

38 H e has forsaken his habitation, as the young lion; for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor and because of his fierce anger.

Той е оставил убежището Си като лъв. Да! Земята им стана за учудване от лютостта на опустошителя и от яростния Му гняв.
