1 ¶ Come near, ye Gentiles, to hear; and hearken, ye peoples; let the earth hear, and all that is therein, the world and all things that come forth of it.

Приближете се, народи, за да чуете, и внимавайте, племена; нека чуе земята и това, което я изпълва, светът и всичко, което се произвежда от него.

2 F or the indignation of the LORD is upon all the Gentiles, and his fury upon the entire army of them; he shall destroy them and deliver them to the slaughter.

Защото Господ негодува спрямо всички народи и пламенно се гневи на всичките им множества; обрекъл ги е на изтребление, предал ги е на клане.

3 T heir slain shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcasses, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

Също и убитите им ще бъдат разхвърляни и вонята от труповете им ще се вдигне, и планините ще се разтопят в кръвта им.

4 A nd all the host of heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host shall fall down as the leaf falls off from the vine and as the leaf falls from the fig tree.

Цялото небесно множество ще се разложи и небето ще се свие като свитък; и цялото му множество ще падне, както пада лист от лоза и като паднал лист от смокиня.

5 F or in the heavens my sword shall become drunk; behold, it shall come down in judgment upon Idumea or Edom and upon the people of my anathema.

Понеже мечът Ми се опияни в небесата, затова, ето, ще слезе за съд върху Едом. Да! Върху народа, които Аз обрекох на изтребление.

6 T he sword of the LORD is filled with blood; it is made fat with fatness and with the blood of lambs and goats with the fat of the kidneys of rams, for the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

Мечът Господен е напоен с кръв, затлъстя от тлъстина, с кръвта на агнетата и яретата, с тлъстините на овнешките бъбреци; защото Господ има жертви във Восора и голямо клане в Едемската земя.

7 A nd the unicorns shall fall with them, and the bulls with the calves; and their land shall become drunk with blood, and their dust shall be greased with fatness.

Дивите волове ще слязат с тях и телетата - с биковете; земята им ще се напои с кръв и пръстта им ще затлъстее с тлъстина.

8 F or it shall be the day of the LORD’s vengeance and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion.

Защото е ден на възмездие от Господа, година на въздаяния за Сионова отплата.

9 ¶ And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into sulphur, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.

Потоците на Едом ще се превърнат в смола и пръстта му - в сяра, и земята му ще стане пламтяща смола.

10 I t shall not be quenched night nor day; its smoke shall go up for ever; from generation to generation it shall lie waste; no one shall pass through it for ever and ever.

Няма да угасне нито нощем, нито денем; димът ѝ ще се издига непрестанно; от род в род ще стане опустошена; никой няма да мине през нея довека.

11 B ut the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it; and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion and the level of desolation.

Но пеликанът и таралежът ще я наследят; кукумявката и гарванът ще живеят в нея; и Господ ще опъне върху нея връв за разорение и отвес за унищожение.

12 T hey shall call the princes thereof, princes without a kingdom; and all her great ones shall be nothing.

Колкото до благородниците му, никой от тях няма да се намери там, за да провъзгласят царството; и всичките му първенци ще стигнат до нищо.

13 A nd thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof; and it shall be a habitation of dragons and a court for young owls.

Тръни ще поникнат в палатите му, коприва и репей - в крепостите му; и ще бъде заселище на чакали, двор на щрауси.

14 T he wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl shall have his seat there and find for himself a place of rest.

Дивите котки ще се срещат там с хиените и пръчът ще се провиква към другаря си; също и бухалът ще се настани там, като си намира място за почивка.

15 T here shall the great owl make his nest and conserve his eggs and hatch his young and gather them under his wings; there shall the vultures also be gathered, each one with his mate.

Там ще се загнездя отровната змия и, като носи яйца и мъти, ще събира малките си под сянката си. Да! Там ще се събират и лешоядите, по двойки.

16 S eek ye out that which is written in the book of the LORD and read; if one of these is lacking, none is missing with his mate, for his mouth has commanded it, and his same Spirit has gathered them.

Потърсете в книгата Господня и прочетете; никое от тях няма да липсва, нито ще бъде без другарката си; защото Господ казва: Моите уста заповядаха това; и самият Негов Дух ги събра.

17 A nd he has cast the lot for them, and his hand has divided it unto them by line; therefore they shall have it as an inheritance for ever; from generation to generation they shall dwell therein.

Той хвърли жребий за тях и Неговата ръка им раздели с мерна връв онази земя; те ще я владеят довека, от род в род ще обитават в нея.
