1 ¶ Moreover, Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

При това Йосия направи Пасха на Господа в Йерусалим; и на четиринадесетия ден от първия месец заклаха пасхалните агнета.

2 A nd he set the priests in their charges and confirmed them in the ministry of the house of the LORD

Той постави свещениците в длъжностите им и ги насърчи да служат на Господния дом.

3 a nd said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, who were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel, built, that ye not carry it any longer upon your shoulders; serve now the LORD your God and his people Israel

И каза на осветените на Господа левити, които поучаваха целия Израел: Положете святия ковчег в дома, който построи Израелевият цар Соломон, Давидовият син; няма да го носите вече на рамена; сега служете на Господа, вашия Бог, и на народа Му Израел.

4 a nd prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David, king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon, his son.

Пригответе се според бащините си домове по отрядите си, според предписанието на Израелевия цар Давид и според предписанието на сина му Соломон;

5 A nd stand in the sanctuary according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren, the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.

и стойте в светилището според отделенията на бащините домове на братята си, миряните, и за всяко нека има по един отдел от левитските бащини домове.

6 S o kill the passover and sanctify yourselves and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

И като заколите пасхалните агнета, осветете се и пригответе за братята си, за да постъпят и те според Господнето слово, дадено чрез Моисей.

7 A nd Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks; these were of the king’s substance.

Йосия подари на народа за жертви овце, агнета и ярета, на брой тридесет хиляди, всичките за пасхалните жертви, за всички, които се намираха там, и три хиляди говеда; те бяха от царския имот.

8 A nd his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand six hundred sheep and three hundred oxen.

И първенците му подариха на драго сърце на народа, на свещениците и на левитите. А управителите на Божия дом - Хелкия, Захария и Ехиил, подариха на свещениците за пасхалните жертви две хиляди и шестстотин агнета и ярета и триста говеда.

9 C onaniah, likewise, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, princes of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for the sacrifices of the passover five thousand sheep, and five hundred oxen.

Също и Хонения и братята му Семая и Натанаил, и началниците на левитите Асавия, Еиил и Йозавад подариха на левитите за пасхалните жертви пет хиляди агнета и ярета и петстотин говеда.

10 S o the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites, likewise, in their courses, according to the king’s commandment.

Така бе приготвена службата. Тогава свещениците застанаха на мястото си и левитите по отрядите си според царската заповед.

11 A nd they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood taken from the hands of the Levites who flayed them.

И заклаха пасхалните агнета и свещениците поръсиха кръвта, която вземаха от ръката на левитите, които и одраха жертвите.

12 A nd they took away part of the animals that they had for the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, for them to offer unto the LORD, as it is written in the book of Moses. And they did, likewise, with the oxen.

Отделиха отреденото за всеизгарянето, за да го дадат според отделенията на бащините домове на народа, за да принесат на Господа според предписанията в Моисеевата книга; така направиха и с говедата.

13 A nd they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance, but that which had been sanctified, they cooked in pots and in caldrons and in pans and divided them speedily among all the people.

И опекоха пасхалните агнета с огън според разпоредбите; а святите жертви свариха в котли, гърнета и тави и ги разделиха веднага между целия народ.

14 A nd afterward they prepared for themselves and for the priests because the priests, the sons of Aaron, were occupied in the sacrifice of the burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore, the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.

После приготвиха за себе си и за свещениците; защото свещениците, Аароновите потомци, се занимаваха с принасяне всеизгарянията и тлъстините до нощта; затова левитите приготвиха за себе си и за свещениците, Аароновите потомци.

15 L ikewise, the singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place, according to the commandment of David and Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, the king’s seer; and the porters waited at every gate; it was not necessary for them to depart from their ministry, for their brethren, the Levites, prepared for them.

А певците, Асафовите потомци, бяха на мястото си според заповедта на Давид, на Асаф, на Еман и на царския ясновидец Едутун; и вратарите пазеха на всяка порта; нямаше нужда да оставят работата си, защото братята им, левитите, приготвиха за тях.

16 S o all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover and to sacrifice the burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of King Josiah.

И така, цялата Господня служба беше приготвена в същия ден, за да направят Пасхата и да принесат всеизгарянията на Господния жертвеник според заповедта на цар Йосия.

17 A nd the sons of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time and the solemn feast of unleavened bread for seven days.

Израелтяните, които се намираха там, честваха в онова време Пасхата и празника на безквасните хлябове седем дни.

18 A nd there was no passover like unto that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel, the prophet; neither did any of the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests and the Levites and all Judah and Israel that were present, together with all the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Такава Пасха не беше ставала в Израел от дните на пророк Самуил; нито един от всички Израелеви царе не беше направил такава Пасха, каквато направиха Йосия и свещениците, и левитите, и цяла Юдея и Израел, които се намираха там, и йерусалимските жители.

19 I n the year eighteen of the reign of Josiah, this passover was kept.

Тази Пасха стана в осемнадесетата година от царуването на Йосия. Край на царуването на Йосия

20 ¶ After all this, when Josiah had prepared the house, Necho, king of Egypt, came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates; and Josiah went out against him.

А след всичко това, когато Йосия беше наредил Божия дом, египетският цар Нехао излезе, за да воюва против Кархемис при реката Ефрат; и Йосия излезе против него.

21 B ut he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I do not come against thee this day, but against the house that makes war with me, for God commanded me to make haste. Forbear from meddling with God, who is with me, that he not destroy thee.

А Нехао прати посланици до него да кажат: Какво има между мене и тебе, царю Юдейски? Не ида днес против теб, а против дома, с който имам война, и Бог ми е заповядал да побързам; отдалечи се от Бога, Който е с мене, да не би да те изтреби.

22 N evertheless, Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and did not hearken unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight him in the valley of Megiddo.

Обаче Йосия не отвърна лицето си от него, а се приготви да воюва против него и не послуша думите на Нехао, които бяха от Божиите уста, и дойде да се бие в долината Магедон.

23 A nd the archers shot King Josiah, and the king said to his slaves, Take me away, for I am sore wounded.

Стрелците улучиха цар Йосия; и царят каза на слугите си: Извадете ме оттук, защото съм тежко ранен.

24 H is slaves, therefore, took him out of that chariot and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died and was buried in the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

И така, слугите му го извадиха от колесницата, качиха го на втората му колесница и го докараха в Йерусалим; той умря и беше погребан в гробищата на бащите си. И цяла Юдея и Йерусалим жалееха за Йосия.

25 A nd Jeremiah lamented for Josiah; and all the singing men and the singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day and made them an ordinance in Israel, which are written in the lamentations.

Също и Йеремия плака за Йосия; и всички певци и певици до днес напомнят за Йосия в плачовете си, които и направиха това обичай в Израел; и ето, те са записани в Плача.

26 N ow the rest of the acts of Josiah and his mercy, according to that which was written in the law of the LORD,

А останалите дела на Йосия и добродетелите му, съответни на предписаното в Господния закон,

27 a nd his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

и делата му, първите и последните, са записани в Книгата на Израелевите и Юдейските царе.
