1 ¶ Halelu-JAH. O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good, for his mercy endures for ever.

(По слав. 105.) Алилуя. Славете Господа, защото е благ. Защото Неговата милост трае довека.

2 W ho can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise?

Кой може да изкаже великите дела на Господа или да разгласи цялото Негово хваление?

3 H appy are those that keep judgment and he that does righteousness at all times.

Блажени онези, които пазят правосъдие; блажен онзи, който върши правда по всяко време.

4 R emember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou dost bear unto thy people; O visit me with thy saving health,

Помни ме, Господи, с благоволението, което храниш към народа Си; посети ме със спасението Си;

5 t hat I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

за да видя благоденствието на Твоите избрани, за да се радвам във веселието на народа Ти, за да се хваля заедно с Твоето наследство.

6 ¶ We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.

Съгрешихме ние и бащите ни, беззаконие и нечестие извършихме.

7 O ur fathers did not understand thy wonders in Egypt; they did not remember the multitude of thy mercies but rebelled by the sea, even at the Red sea.

Бащите ни не разсъждаваха за Твоите чудесни дела в Египет, не си спомняха многото Твои милости, а се възпротивиха при морето, при Червеното море.

8 N evertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

При все това Бог ги избави заради името Си, за да направи познато могъществото Си.

9 H e reprehended the Red sea also, and it was dried up, so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

Смъмра Червеното море и то изсъхна; и така ги преведе през дълбочините като през пасбище

10 A nd he saved them from the hand of him that hated them and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

и ги спаси от ръката на ненавистника им, и ги изкупи от ръката на неприятеля.

11 A nd the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

Водите покриха противниците им; не остана нито един от тях.

12 T hen they believed his words; they sang his praise.

Тогава повярваха на думите Му, пееха Му хваления.

13 ¶ They became rash. They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

Но скоро забравиха делата Му, не чакаха изпълнението на намерението Му,

14 T hey gave themselves over to lust in the wilderness and tempted God in the desert.

а се полакомиха твърде много в пустинята и изпитаха Бога в безводната страна;

15 A nd he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.

и Той им даде това, което искаха; прати обаче мършавост на душите им.

16 T hen they envied Moses in the camp and Aaron the saint of the LORD.

Също и на Моисей те завидяха в стана и на Господния светия Аарон.

17 T he earth opened and swallowed up Dathan and covered the company of Abiram.

Земята се разтвори и погълна Датан, и покри Авироновата дружина;

18 A nd a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.

и огън се запали сред дружината им; пламък изгори нечестивите.

19 T hey made a calf in Horeb and worshipped the molten image.

Те направиха теле в Хорив и се поклониха на излят идол;

20 T hus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eats grass.

така размениха Славата си срещу подобие на вол, който яде трева!

21 T hey forgot the God of their saving health, who had done great things in Egypt,

Забравиха своя Избавител, Бога, Който беше извършил велики дела в Египет,

22 w ondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things upon the Red sea.

чудесни дела в Хамовата земя, страшни неща около Червеното море.

23 T herefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath lest he should destroy them.

Затова Той каза, че ще ги изтреби; само че избраният му Моисей застана пред Него в пролома, за да отвърне гнева Му, да не би да ги погуби.

24 A nd they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe his word:

Дори те презряха желаната земя, не повярваха в Неговото слово,

25 B ut murmured in their tents and did not hearken unto the voice of the LORD.

а зароптаха в шатрите си и не послушаха гласа на Господа.

26 T herefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness,

Затова Той им се закле, че ще ги повали в пустинята

27 t o overthrow their seed also among the Gentiles, and to scatter them in the lands.

и че ще повали потомството им между народите, и ще ги разпръсне по разни страни.

28 T hey also joined themselves unto Baalpeor and ate the sacrifices for the dead.

Също те се прилепиха към Ваалфегор и ядоха жертви, принесени на мъртви богове.

29 T hus they provoked him to anger with their inventions; and the plague broke in upon them.

И така предизвикаха Бога с делата си дотолкова, че язвата направи пролом между тях.

30 T hen Phinehas stood up and executed judgment, and so the plague was stayed.

Но стана Финеес и извърши посредничество, и язвата престана;

31 A nd that was counted unto him for righteousness from generation to generation for evermore.

и това му се вмени за правда от род в род довека.

32 T hey angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:

Също и при водите на Мерива те Го разгневиха, така че нещастие сполетя Моисей заради тях;

33 B ecause they provoked his spirit to rebel, and he spoke it with his lips.

защото се разбунтуваха против Духа Му и Моисей говори несмислено с устните си.

34 ¶ They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:

При това те не изтребиха племената, както Господ им беше заповядал,

35 B ut were mingled among the Gentiles and learned their works.

а се смесиха с тези народи и се научиха на техните дела;

36 A nd they served their idols, which were a snare unto them.

така че служиха на идолите им, които станаха примка за тях.

37 Y ea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils

Да! Синовете си и дъщерите си принесоха в жертва на бесовете

38 a nd shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.

и проляха невинна кръв - кръвта на синовете и дъщерите си, които пожертваха на ханаанските идоли; и земята се оскверни от кръвопролития.

39 T hus they were defiled with their own works and went a whoring with their own inventions.

Така те се оскверниха от делата си и блудстваха в действията си.

40 T herefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

Затова гневът на Господа пламна против народа Му и Той се погнуси от наследството Си.

41 A nd he gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, and those that hated them ruled over them.

Предаде ги в ръцете на народите; и ги завладяха противниците им.

42 T heir enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

Неприятелите им продължиха да ги притесняват и те останаха подчинени под ръката им.

43 H e delivered them many times, but they rebelled at his counsel and were brought low for their iniquity.

Много пъти Той ги избавя; но понеже намеренията им бяха бунтовнически, затова се и унижиха поради беззаконието си.

44 N evertheless he would look upon their affliction and hear their cry

Въпреки това обаче Той погледна към утеснението им, когато чу вика им;

45 a nd remember his covenant with them and repent according to the multitude of his mercies.

спомни си за тях Своя завет и се разкая според голямата Си милост;

46 H e also caused those that carried them captives to have mercy upon them.

също направи да ги съжаляват всички, които ги бяха пленили.

47 S ave us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the Gentiles, that we might lift up thy holy name, that we might glory in thy praise.

Избавѝ ни, Господи, Боже наш, и ни съберѝ измежду народите, за да славословим Твоето свято име и да тържествуваме с Твоята хвала.

48 B lessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting; and let all the people say, Amen. Halelu-JAH.

Благословен да е Господ, Израелевият Бог, отвека и довека; и целият народ да каже: Амин. Алилуя.
