1 ¶ Moreover David and the captains of the host separated unto the ministry the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of men that were suitable for the work of their respective ministry was,

При това Давид и военачалниците определиха за службата някои от Асафовите, Емановите и Едутуновите синове да пророкуват с арфи, псалтири и кимвали; а броят на онези, които се занимаваха с тази служба, беше:

2 o f the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied at the hand of the king.

от Асафовите синове: Закхур, Йосиф, Натания и Асарила, Асафови синове, под наставлението на Асаф, който пророкуваше по нареждане на царя;

3 O f Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

от Едутун, Едутуновите синове: Годолия, Езрий, Исая, Семей, Асавий и Мататия, шестима под наставлението на баща си Едутун, който пророкуваше с арфа и славословеше Господа;

4 O f Heman: the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

от Еман, Емановите синове: Вукия, Матания, Озиил, Суваил, Еримот, Анания, Ананий, Елиата, Гидалтий, Ромамтиезер, Йосвекаса, Малотий, Отир и Маазиот;

5 A ll these were the sons of Heman, the king’s seer, in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

всички те бяха синове на царския ясновидец в Божиите слова Еман, определен да свири високо с рога. И Бог даде на Еман четиринадесет сина и три дъщери.

6 A ll these were under the direction of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the ministry of the house of God, under the hand of the king, of Asaph, of Jeduthun, and of Heman.

Всички те под наставлението на баща си бяха певци в Господния дом с кимвали, псалтири и арфи за службата на Божия дом; а Асаф, Едутун и Еман бяха под нареждането на царя.

7 S o the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that had understanding, was two hundred eighty-eight.

И броят им заедно с братята им, обучени в Господните пеения, всичките изкусни, беше двеста осемдесет и осем души.

8 ¶ And they cast lots, ward against ward, the small as well as the great, the one with understanding as well as the disciple.

А те хвърлиха жребий за реда на служенето си, малък и голям, учител и ученик, наравно.

9 N ow the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve;

Първият жребий излезе за Асаф, т. е. за сина му Йосиф; вторият за Годолия - той, братята му и синовете му бяха дванадесет души;

10 t he third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

третият за Закхур - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

11 t he fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

четвъртият за Езрий - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

12 t he fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

петият за Натания - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

13 t he sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

шестият за Вукия - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

14 t he seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

седмият за Асарил - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

15 t he eighth to Jeshaiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

осмият за Исая - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

16 t he ninth to Mattaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

17 t he tenth to Shimei, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

18 t he eleventh to Azareel, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

19 t he twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

дванадесетият за Асавий - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

20 t he thirteenth to Shubael, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

тринадесетият за Суваил - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

21 t he fourteenth to Mattithiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

четиринадесетият за Мататия - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

22 t he fifteenth to Jeremoth, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

петнадесетият за Еримот - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

23 t he sixteenth to Hananiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

24 t he seventeenth to Joshbekashah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

25 t he eighteenth to Hanani, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

26 t he nineteenth to Mallothi, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve:

27 t he twentieth to Eliathah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

28 t he twenty-first to Hothir, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

29 t he twenty-second to Giddalti, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

двадесет и вторият за Гидалтия - той, синовете му и братята му, дванадесет души;

30 t he twenty-third to Mahazioth, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

31 t he twenty-fourth to Romamtiezer, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve.
