1 ¶ Moreover David and the captains of the host separated unto the ministry the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of men that were suitable for the work of their respective ministry was,

І відділив Давид та зверхники війська на службу синів Асафа, і Гемана, і Єдутуна, що провіщували на цитрах, і на арфах, і на цимбалах. А число їх, людей праці до служби, було таке:

2 o f the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied at the hand of the king.

від Асафових синів: Заккур, і Йосип, і Нетанія, і Асар'їла, Асафові сини, при Асафі, що пророкував при царі.

3 O f Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

Від Єдутуна, Єдутунові сини: Ґедалія, і Цері, і Ісая, Хашавія, і Маттітія, шестеро при своєму батькові Єдутуні, що пророкував на цитрі на дяку та на хвалу Господеві.

4 O f Heman: the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

Від Гемана, Геманові сини: Буккійя, Маттанія, Уззіїл, Шевуїл, і Єрімот, Хананія, Ханані, Еліата, Ґіддалті, і Ромамті, Езер, Йошбекаша, Маллоті, Готір, Махазіот.

5 A ll these were the sons of Heman, the king’s seer, in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

Усі ці сини Гемана, царського прозорливця в Божих словах, щоб підвищувати силу. І дав Бог Геманові чотирнадцять синів та три дочки.

6 A ll these were under the direction of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the ministry of the house of God, under the hand of the king, of Asaph, of Jeduthun, and of Heman.

Усі вони були при своєму батькові, на співі Господнього дому, на цимбалах, на арфах та цитрах для служби в Божому домі; при царі Асаф, Єдутун та Геман.

7 S o the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that had understanding, was two hundred eighty-eight.

І було їхнє число з їхніми братами, вивченими співу для Господа, усіх розуміючих, двісті й вісімдесят і вісім.

8 ¶ And they cast lots, ward against ward, the small as well as the great, the one with understanding as well as the disciple.

І кинули вони жеребки, черга відповідно черзі, як малий, так і великий, учитель з учнем.

9 N ow the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve;

І вийшов перший жеребок від Асафа для Йосипа, другий Ґедалія, він і брати його та сини його, дванадцять.

10 t he third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Третій Заккур, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

11 t he fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Четвертий для Їцрі, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

12 t he fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

П'ятий Нетанія, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

13 t he sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Шостий Буккійя, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

14 t he seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

15 t he eighth to Jeshaiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

16 t he ninth to Mattaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

17 t he tenth to Shimei, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

18 t he eleventh to Azareel, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

19 t he twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

20 t he thirteenth to Shubael, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

21 t he fourteenth to Mattithiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

22 t he fifteenth to Jeremoth, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

23 t he sixteenth to Hananiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Шістнадцятий для Хананії, сини його брати його, дванадцять.

24 t he seventeenth to Joshbekashah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Сімнадцятий для Йошбекаші, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

25 t he eighteenth to Hanani, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Вісімнадцятий для Ханані, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

26 t he nineteenth to Mallothi, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve:

27 t he twentieth to Eliathah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Двадцятий для Елійяти, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

28 t he twenty-first to Hothir, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Двадцять і перший для Готіра, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

29 t he twenty-second to Giddalti, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Двадцять і другий для Ґіддалті, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

30 t he twenty-third to Mahazioth, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

Двадцять і третій для Махазіота, сини його та брати його, дванадцять.

31 t he twenty-fourth to Romamtiezer, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve.
