1 ¶ Now these are the priests and the Levites that came up with Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel and with Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

А оце священики та Левити, що прийшли з Зоровавелем, сином Шеалтіїловим, та з Ісусом: Серая, Їрмея, Ездра,

2 A mariah, Malluch, Hattush,

Амарія, Маллух, Хаттуш,

3 S hechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,

Шеханія, Рехум, Меремот,

4 I ddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,

Іддо, Ґіннетой, Авійя,

5 M iamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

Мійямін, Маадія, Білґа,

6 S hemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah,

Шемая, і Йоярів, Єдая,

7 S allu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah. These were the princes of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

Саллу, Амок, Хілкійя, Єдая. Це голови священиків та брати їхні за днів Ісуса.

8 A nd the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who with his brethren officiated in the songs of praise.

А Левити: Ісус, Біннуй, Кадміїл, Шеревея, Юда, Матанія, головний над славослов'ям він та брати його.

9 A lso Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were before them in the watches.

І Бакбукія та Унні, їхні брати, були навпроти них на сторожі.

10 A nd Jeshua begat Joiakim, Joiakim begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,

А Ісус породив Йоякима, а Йояким породив Ел'яшіва, а Ел'яшів породив Йояду,

11 J oiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.

а Йояда породив Йонатана, а Йонатан породив Яддуя.

12 A nd in the days of Joiakim the priests, the heads of the families were of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

А за Йоякимових днів були священики, голови батьківських родів: з роду Сераїного Мерая, з Їрмеїного Хананія,

13 o f Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

з Ездриного Мешуллам, з Амаріїного Єгоханан,

14 o f Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

з Меліхового Йонатан, з Шеваніїного Йосип,

15 o f Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

з Харімового Адна, з Мерайотового Хелкай,

16 o f Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

з Іддового Захарій, з Ґіннетонового Мешуллам,

17 o f Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;

з Авійїного Зіхрі, з Мін'ямінового та з Моадеїного Пілтай,

18 o f Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

з Білґиного Шаммуя, з Шемаїного Йонатан,

19 o f Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

а з Йоярівового Маттенай, з Єдаїного Уззі,

20 o f Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

з Саллаєвого Каллай, з Амокового Евер,

21 o f Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.

з Хілкійїного Хашавія, з Єдаїного Натанаїл.

22 T he Levites in the days of Eliashib, of Joiada and of Johanan and of Jaddua, were recorded as heads of families; also the priests, until the reign of Darius, the Persian.

Левити, голови батьківських родів, були записані за днів Ел'яшіва, Йояди, і Йоханана, і Яддуя, а священики за царювання Дарія перського.

23 T he sons of Levi, heads of families, were written in the book of the chronicles, until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

Сини Левія, голови батьківських родів, записані в Книгу Хронік, і аж до днів Йоханана, сина Ел'яшівового.

24 T he heads of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua, the son of Kadmiel, and their brethren before them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the statute of David, the man of God, keeping each one their ward.

А голови Левитів: Хашавія, Шеревія, і Ісус, син Кадміїлів, та брати їхні були навпроти них, щоб хвалити та славити за наказом Давида, Божого чоловіка, черга за чергою.

25 M attaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.

Матанія, і Бакбукія, Овадія, Мешуллам, Талмон, Аккув, придверні, сторожа в брамних складах.

26 T hese were in the days of Joiakim, the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the captain, and of Ezra, the priest and scribe.

Вони були за днів Йоякима, сина Ісуса, сина Йоцадакового, та за днів намісника Неемії та священика вчителя Ездри.

27 ¶ And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgiving and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

А в свято освячення єрусалимського муру шукали Левитів по всіх їхніх місцях, щоб привести їх до Єрусалиму справити свято освячення та радости з похвалами, із піснею, цимбалами, арфами та з цитрами.

28 A nd the sons of the singers were gathered together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem and from the villages of Netophathi;

І позбиралися сини співаків та з округи навколо Єрусалиму та з осель нетофатян,

29 a lso from the house of Gilgal and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves villages round about Jerusalem.

і з Бет-Гаґґілґала, і з піль Ґеви та Азмавету, бо співаки побудували собі двори навколо Єрусалиму.

30 A nd the priests and the Levites purified themselves and purified the people and the gates and the wall.

І очистилися священики та Левити, і вони очистили народ, і брами та мур.

31 T hen I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall and appointed two great choirs which went in procession, one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate.

І повводив я Юдиних зверхників на мур, і поставив два великі збори славословників та походи, з них один пішов праворуч по муру до Смітникової брами.

32 A nd after them went Hoshaiah and half of the princes of Judah,

А за ними йшов Гошая та половина Юдиних зверхників,

33 a nd Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,

і Азарія, Ездра, і Мешуллам,

34 J udah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;

Юда, і Веніямин, Шемая, і Ірмея.

35 a nd certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets: namely, Zechariah, the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;

А з священичих синів із сурмами: Захарій, син Йонатана, сина Шемаї, сина Маттанії, сина Міхаї, сина Заккура, сина Асафового,

36 a nd his brethren, Shemaiah, Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, Judah, and Hanani, with the musical instruments of David, the man of God, and Ezra, the scribe, before them.

а брати його: Шемая, і Азаріїл, Мілай, Ґілалай, Маай, Натанаїл, і Юда, Ханані з музичними знаряддями Давида, Божого чоловіка, а вчитель Ездра перед ними.

37 A nd at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, from the house of David unto the water gate eastward.

А при Джерельній брамі, навпроти них, вони йшли ступенями Давидового Міста, входом на стіну над Давидовим домом і аж до Водної брами на схід.

38 A nd the second choir went over against them, and I after them with half of the people upon the wall, from the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall,

А другий збір славословників ішов ліворуч, а за ним я та половина народу, зверху по муру вище башти Печей та аж до Широкого муру,

39 a nd from the gate of Ephraim, to the old gate, and to the fish gate, to the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, unto the sheep gate; and they stood still in the gate of the guards.

і від Єфремової брами та до брами Старої, і до брами Рибної, і башти Ханан'їла, і башти Меа, і аж до брами Овечої, і спинилися біля брами Ув'язнення.

40 T hen the two choirs stood in the house of God, and I and half of the rulers with me;

І стали обидва збори славословників біля Божого дому, і я, і половина заступників зо мною,

41 a nd the priests: Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

і священики: Ел'яким, Маасея, Мін'ямин, Міхая, Елйоенай, Захарій, Хананія з сурмами,

42 a nd Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.

і Маасея, і Шемая, і Елеазар, і Уззі, і Єгоханан, і Малкійя, і Елам, і Езер. І співаки співали, а Їзрахія був провідником.

43 A lso that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women also and the children rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

І вони приносили того дня великі жертви та раділи, бо Бог порадував їх великою радістю. І раділи також жінки та діти, і аж далеко чута була радість Єрусалиму!

44 ¶ And at that time men were appointed over the chambers of the treasures, of the offerings, of the firstfruits, and of the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the legal portions for the priests and the Levites; for the joy of Judah was upon the priests and the Levites that served.

І того дня були попризначувані люди над коморами для скарбів, для приношень, для первоплодів та для десятин, щоб зносити в них з міських піль законні частки священикам та Левитам, бо радість Юдеї була дивитися на священиків та на Левитів, що стояли!

45 A nd they kept the ward of their God and the ward of the purification, and the singers and the porters, according to the statute of David and of Solomon, his son.

І вони стерегли постанови свого Бога, і постанови про очищення, і були співаками та придверними за наказом Давида та сина його Соломона.

46 F or from the time of David and Asaph of old there were princes of the singers, and songs and praise and thanksgiving unto God.

Бо віддавна, за днів Давида та Асафа, були голови співаків та пісні хвали й збори славословників для Бога.

47 A nd all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, each thing in its day; and they sanctified them unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the sons of Aaron.

І ввесь Ізраїль за днів Зоровавеля та за днів Неемії давав частки співацькі та придверничі, щодня належне, і освячував це Левитам, а Левити освячували Аароновим синам.
