1 ¶ The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

І було мені слово Господнє таке:

2 S on of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:

Сину людський, були собі дві жінки, дочки однієї матері.

3 A nd they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth; there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.

І чинили вони в Єгипті розпусту, у своїй молодості чинили розпусту, там почавлені їхні груди, там замацані їхні перса дівочі.

4 A nd the names of them were Aholah the elder and Aholibah her sister; they were mine, and they bore sons and daughters. Thus were their names: Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.

А їхні імена: Огола старша та Оголива сестра її. І стали вони Мої, і породили синів та дочок. А їхні імена: Самарія Огола, а Єрусалим Оголива.

5 A nd Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she fell in love with her lovers, the Assyrians her neighbours,

І стала розпусною Огола, бувши Моєю, і кохалася з своїми коханцями, з асиріянами, хто був їй близький,

6 w hich were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.

що їхнє убрання блакить, намісники та заступники вони, усі вони юнаки вродливі, вершники, що гарцюють на конях.

7 T hus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all those that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all whom she fell in love; with all their idols she defiled herself.

І дала вона свою розпусту їм, що всі вони добірні Ашшурові сини, і всіма, яких кохала, і всіма своїми божками була вона занечищена.

8 N either did she leave her whoredoms of Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity and poured their whoredom upon her.

Та не відкидала вона своєї розпусти й від єгиптян, бо вони лежали з нею в її молодості, і вони стискали дівочі її перса, і виливали свою розпусту на неї...

9 T herefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, of whom she fell in love.

Тому й дав Я її в руку її коханків, у руку Ашшурових синів, що з ними кохалась вона.

10 T hese uncovered her nakedness; they took her sons and her daughters and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women, for they had executed judgments upon her.

Вони відкрили її наготу, позабирали синів її та дочок її, а її забили мечем... І стала вона неславним ім'ям для жінок, і присуди зробили на ній.

11 ¶ And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.

А сестра її Оголива бачила це, але вчинила любов свою гіршою від неї, а розпусту свою більшою від розпусти своєї сестри.

12 S he fell in love with the Assyrians her neighbours, captains and rulers clothed to perfection, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.

Вона кохалася з синами Ашшуровими, з близькими їй намісниками та заступниками, досконало зодягненими, з верхівцями, що гарцюють на конях, усі вони юнаки вродливі.

13 T hen I saw that she was defiled, that they both took the same way

І побачив Я, що вона обезчещена, що дорога одна їм обом.

14 a nd that she increased her whoredoms, for when she saw men painted upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans painted in colour,

Та вона ще додала до розпусти своєї, бо коли побачила мужів, вирізьблених на стіні, зображення халдеїв, креслених і запущених червонилом,

15 g irded with girdles upon their loins, and mitres painted upon their heads, all of them looking like princes, after the manner of the men of Babylon, born in the land of the Chaldeans,

підперезаних поясом по стегнах своїх, вони з опадаючим завоєм на голові їхній, усі вони на вигляд військові старшини, подоба синів вавилонських, Халдея край народження їхнього,

16 s he fell in love with them as soon as she saw them with her eyes and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.

то пожадала вона їх через сам погляд очей своїх, і послала посланців по них, до Халдеї.

17 A nd the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom and she was polluted with them, and her soul was disjointed from them.

І прийшли до неї сини Вавилону на ложе любовне, і занечистили її своєю розпустою, і вона занечистилася ними, і відвернулася душа її від них...

18 S o she uncovered her whoredoms, and uncovered her nakedness; then my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.

І відкрила вона розпусту свою, і відкрила свою наготу, тому відвернулася душа Моя від неї, як відвернулася душа Моя від її сестри.

19 Y et she multiplied her whoredoms in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, in which she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

І побільшила вона розпусту свою на згадку днів своєї молодости, коли чинила розпусту в єгипетському краї.

20 F or she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

І жадала вона собі на коханців тих, що їхня плоть плоть ослина, а їхня похіть похіть жеребця.

21 T hus thou didst call to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the breasts of thy youth.

І згадала ти розпусту своєї молодости, коли єгиптяни стискали груди твої ради перс твоєї молодости.

22 ¶ Therefore, O Aholibah, thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy desire is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side:

Тому, Оголиво, так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я збуджу коханців твоїх на тебе, що від них відвернулася душа твоя, і спроваджу їх на тебе з довкілля,

23 t he Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, rulers, and princes, and captains, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men; all of them captains and rulers, great lords and renowned; all of them riding upon horses.

синів Вавилону, і всіх халдеїв, Пекод, і Шоа, і Коа, і всіх синів Ашшурових з ними, уродливі то юнаки, усі вони начальники та заступники, військові старшини та славні, усі вони гарцюють на конях.

24 A nd they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with a multitude of peoples, which shall set against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about, and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their laws.

І прийдуть на тебе з півночі, з колесницями та з колесами, та зо збором народів; щита великого й щита малого та шоломи покладуть проти тебе навколо. І дам їм право, і вони засудять тебе за своїми правами.

25 A nd I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal with thee in furor; they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and what is left shall fall by the sword; they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy remnant shall be devoured by the fire.

І зверну Я лютість Свою на тебе, і вони зроблять з тобою в гніві: пообтинають носа твого та вуха твої, а що полишиться в тебе, від меча упаде. Вони позабирають синів твоїх та дочок твоїх, а що залишиться в тебе, буде пожерте огнем...

26 T hey shall also strip thee out of thy clothes and take away the vessels of thy glory.

І постягають із тебе шати твої, і позабирають речі пишноти твоєї.

27 T hus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee and thy whoredom of the land of Egypt, so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

І спиню Я розпусту твою в тебе, і розпусту твою з єгипетського краю, і ти не зведеш очей своїх на них, а про Єгипта вже не згадаєш.

28 F or thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I deliver thee into the hand of those whom thou hatest, into the hand of those from whom thy soul is alienated:

Бо так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я даю тебе в руку того, кого ти зненавиділа, у руку тих, що від них відвернулася душа твоя.

29 A nd they shall deal with thee hatefully and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be uncovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

І зроблять з тобою в ненависті, і візьмуть здобуток твій, і поставлять тебе нагою та голою, і буде відкрита нагота перелюбу твого, і розпуста твоя та твій блуд...

30 I will do these things unto thee because thou hast gone a whoring after the Gentiles and because thou art polluted with their idols.

Будуть робити це тобі за твоє ходіння в розпусті з народами, за те, що ти збезчестилась їхніми божками.

31 T hou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore I will put her cup into thine hand.

Дорогою своєї сестри ти ходила, тому дам її келіха в твою руку.

32 T hus hath the Lord GOD said: Thou shalt drink of thy sister’s cup deep and large; the Gentiles shall laugh thee to scorn and hold thee in derision; it contains much.

Так говорить Господь Бог: Келіха своєї сестри ти вип'єш, глибокого та широкого; станеш за жарт та за посміховисько, це багатомісткий келіх.

33 T hou shalt be filled with drunkenness and with pain because of the cup of astonishment and desolation, because of the cup of thy sister Samaria.

П'янством та смутком будеш наповнена, буде це келіх спустошення й розруху, келіх твоєї сестри Самарії.

34 T hou shalt even drink it and finish it, and thou shalt break its shards and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, said the Lord GOD.

І ти вип'єш його, і витягнеш усе, а череп'я його порозбиваєш, і перса свої порозриваєш, бо це Я говорив, каже Господь Бог.

35 T herefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because thou hast forgotten me and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

Тому так говорить Господь Бог: Через те, що ти забула Мене, і кинула мене за спину свою, то й ти носи розпусту свою та свій блуд!

36 ¶ And The LORD said unto me: Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah and declare unto them their abominations?

І сказав Господь до мене: Сину людський, чи будеш судити Оголу та Оголиву? То викажи їм їхні гидоти!

37 F or they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands, and with their idols they have committed adultery and have even caused their sons, whom they bore unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them.

Бо вони перелюб чинили, і кров на їхніх руках, і з божками своїми перелюб чинили, і також синів своїх, яких породили Мені, перепроваджували через огонь для них на їжу...

38 M oreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day and have profaned my sabbaths.

Ще оце чинили Мені: Занечистили святиню Мою того дня, і суботи Мої зневажили.

39 F or when they had slain their sons unto their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, behold, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

А коли вони різали синів своїх для своїх божків, то приходили до Моєї святині того дня, щоб збезчестити її, і оце так робили вони в середині Мого дому...

40 A nd furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, behold, they came for the love of whom thou didst wash thyself, paint thy eyes, and deck thyself with ornaments,

А що більше, посилали до мужів, що здалека приходять, що до них був посланий посланець, і ось поприходили ті, що для них ти вмилася, нафарбувала блакитом очі свої й оздобою приоздобилася.

41 a nd sit upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, upon which thou hast set my incense and my oil.

І сіла ти на дорогоцінному ліжку, а перед ним накритий стіл, і поклала на ньому кадило Моє та оливу Мою.

42 A nd in her was heard a voice of a multitude at a feast; and with the men of renown were brought the Sabeans from the wilderness to multiply the men, and they put bracelets upon their hands and crowns of glory upon their heads.

І голос заспокоєної товпи лунав при ньому, і до мужів тієї товпи спроваджували ще п'яних з пустині, і давали нараменники на їхні руки та пишні корони на їхні голови.

43 T hen said I unto her that was old in adulteries, Now shalt thy whoredoms come to an end, and she with them;

І сказав Я до тієї, що в'янула від перелюбу: Буде тепер вона ще далі чинити розпусту?

44 f or they have come to her, as those who come to a woman that plays the harlot, so they went in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.

І прийшли до неї, як приходять до блудниці, так приходили до Оголи та Оголиви, розпусних жінок.

45 T herefore righteous men shall judge them by the law of adulteresses and after the law of women that shed blood because they are adulteresses, and blood is on their hands.

А люди справедливі вони розсудять їх правом про тих, що чинять перелюб, та правом про тих, що кров проливають, бо вони чинять перелюб, і кров на їхніх руках.

46 F or thus hath the Lord GOD said: I will bring up a company upon them and will give them to be removed and spoiled.

Бо так говорить Господь Бог: Скликати б на них збори, і дати їх на страх та на здобич!

47 A nd the company shall stone them with stones and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters and burn up their houses with fire.

І збори закидають їх камінням, і порозсікають їх своїми мечами, синів їхніх та їхніх дочок повбивають, а їхні доми попалять огнем...

48 T hus will I cause the lust to cease out of the land that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

І спиню Я розпусту в Краю, і буде наука всім жінкам, і вони не будуть робити такого, як ваша розпуста!

49 A nd they shall recompense your lust upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

І покладуть вони вашу розпусту на вас, і ви будете носити гріхи ваших божків. І ви пізнаєте, що Я Господь Бог!
