1 ¶ Then the LORD spoke unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh and say unto him, The LORD hath said thus, Let my people go that they may serve me.

(7-26) І промовив Господь до Мойсея: Іди до фараона, та й скажи йому: Так сказав Господь: Відпусти Мій народ, і нехай вони служать Мені.

2 A nd if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:

(7-27) А коли ти відмовишся відпустити, то ось Я вдарю ввесь край твій жабами.

3 A nd the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thy house and into thy bedchamber and upon thy bed and into the houses of thy slaves and upon thy people and into thine ovens and into thy kneadingtroughs;

(7-28) І стане Річка роїти жаби, і вони повиходять, і ввійдуть до твого дому, і до спальної кімнати твоєї, і на ліжко твоє, і до домів рабів твоїх, і до народу твого, і до печей твоїх, і до діжок твоїх.

4 a nd the frogs shall come up upon thee and upon thy people and upon all thy slaves.

(7-29) І на тебе, і на народ твій, і на всіх рабів твоїх повилазять ці жаби.

5 A nd the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the ponds and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.

(8-1) І сказав Господь до Мойсея: Скажи Ааронові: Простягни свою руку з палицею своєю на річки, на потоки, і на ставки, і повиводь жаб на єгипетський край.

6 A nd Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.

(8-2) І простяг Аарон руку свою на єгипетські води, і вийшла жабня, та й покрила єгипетську землю.

7 A nd the magicians did the same with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.

(8-3) Та так само зробили й єгипетські чарівники своїми чарами, і вивели жаб на єгипетську землю.

8 T hen Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said unto them, Intreat the LORD that he may take away the frogs from me and from my people, and I will let the people go that they may sacrifice unto the LORD.

(8-4) І покликав фараон Мойсея й Аарона, та й сказав: Благайте Господа, і нехай виведе ці жаби від мене й від народу мого, а я відпущу народ той, і нехай приносять жертви для Господа!

9 A nd Moses said unto Pharaoh, Tell me: when shall I intreat for thee and for thy slaves and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain only in the river?

(8-5) І сказав Мойсей фараонові: Накажи мені, коли маю молитися за тебе, і за слуг твоїх, і за народ твій, щоб понищити жаби від тебе й від домів твоїх, тільки в Річці вони позостануться.

10 A nd he said, Tomorrow. And Moses replied, Be it according to thy word, that thou may know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.

(8-6) А той відказав: На завтра. І сказав Мойсей: За словом твоїм! Щоб ти знав, що нема Такого, як Господь, Бог наш!

11 A nd the frogs shall depart from thee and from thy houses and from thy slaves and from thy people; they shall remain only in the river.

(8-7) І відійдуть жаби від тебе, і від домів твоїх, і він рабів твоїх, і від народу твого, тільки в Річці вони позостануться.

12 T hen Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh; and Moses cried unto the LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.

(8-8) І вийшов Мойсей та Аарон від фараона. І кликав Мойсей до Господа про ті жаби, що навів був на фараона.

13 A nd the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs of the houses, of the villages, and of the fields died.

(8-9) І зробив Господь за словом Мойсея, і погинули жаби з домів, і з подвір'їв, і з піль.

14 A nd they gathered them together in heaps; and the land was corrupted.

(8-10) І збирали їх цілими купами, і засмерділась земля!

15 B ut when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart and did not hearken unto them as the LORD had said.

(8-11) І побачив фараон, що сталась полегша, і знову стало запеклим серце його, і не послухався їх, як говорив був Господь.

16 ¶ Then the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

(8-12) І сказав Господь до Мойсея: Скажи Ааронові: Простягни свою палицю, та й удар земний порох, і нехай він стане вошами в усьому єгипетському краї!

17 A nd they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

(8-13) І зробили вони так. І простяг Аарон руку свою з палицею своєю, та й ударив земний порох, і він стався вошами на людині й на скотині. Увесь земний порох стався вошами в усьому єгипетському краї.

18 A nd the magicians did the same with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. And there were lice upon man and upon beast.

(8-14) І так само робили чарівники своїми чарами, щоб навести воші, та не змогли. І була вошва на людині й на скотині.

19 T hen the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God. But Pharaoh’s heart hardened, and he did not hearken unto them as the LORD had said.

(8-15) І сказали чарівники фараонові: Це перст Божий! Та серце фараонове було запеклим, і він не послухався їх, як говорив був Господь.

20 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh; behold, he goes forth to the water and say unto him, The LORD hath said thus, Let my people go that they may serve me.

(8-16) І сказав Господь до Мойсея: Устань рано вранці, та й стань перед лицем фараоновим. Ось він піде до води, а ти скажи йому: Так сказав Господь: Відпусти Мій народ, і нехай вони служать Мені!

21 F or if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee and upon thy slaves and upon thy people and into thy houses; and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of all kinds of flies and also the ground upon which they are.

(8-17) Бо коли ти не відпустиш народу Мого, то ось Я пошлю на тебе, і на слуг твоїх, і на народ твій, і на доми твої рої мух. І єгипетські доми будуть повні мушні, а також земля, на якій вони живуть.

22 A nd I will separate in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no kind of flies shall be there to the end that thou may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

(8-18) І відділю того дня землю Ґошен, що Мій народ живе на ній, щоб не було там роїв мух, щоб ти знав, що Я Господь посеред землі!

23 A nd I will put redemption between my people and thy people. Tomorrow shall this sign be.

(8-19) І зроблю Я різницю між народом Моїм та народом твоїм. Узавтра буде це знамено!

24 A nd the LORD did so: that there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh and into his slaves’ houses and into all the land of Egypt; and the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.

(8-20) І зробив Господь так. І найшла численна мушня на дім фараона, і на дім рабів його, і на всю єгипетську землю. І нищилась земля через ті рої мух!

25 T hen Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land of Egypt.

(8-21) І кликнув фараон до Мойсея та до Аарона, говорячи: Підіть, принесіть жертви вашому Богові в цьому краї!

26 A nd Moses replied, It is not convenient to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God. Behold, if we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, will they not stone us?

(8-22) А Мойсей відказав: Не годиться чинити так, бо то огиду для Єгипту ми приносили б у жертву Господу, Богові нашому. Тож будемо приносити в жертву огиду для єгиптян на їхніх очах, і вони не вкаменують нас?

27 W e will go three days’ journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the LORD our God as he has said unto us.

(8-23) Триденною дорогою ми підемо на пустиню, і принесемо жертву Господеві, Богові нашому, як скаже Він нам.

28 A nd Pharaoh said, I will let you go that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away; pray for me.

(8-24) І сказав фараон: Я відпущу вас, і ви принесете жертву Господеві, Богові вашому на пустині. Тільки далеко не віддаляйтесь, ідучи. Моліться за мене!

29 A nd Moses answered, Behold, as I go out from thy presence, I will intreat the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his slaves, and from his people tomorrow; if Pharaoh will not deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.

(8-25) І сказав Мойсей: Ось я виходжу від тебе, і буду благати Господа, і відступить той рій мух від фараона, і від рабів його, і від народу його взавтра. Тільки нехай більше не обманює фараон, щоб не відпустити народу принести жертву Господеві.

30 T hen Moses went out from Pharaoh, and prayed unto the LORD.

(8-26) І вийшов Мойсей від фараона, і став просити Господа.

31 A nd the LORD did according to the word of Moses, and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his slaves, and from his people; there remained not one.

(8-27) І зробив Господь за словом Мойсея, і відвернув рої мух від фараона, від рабів його, і від народу його. І не зосталося ані однієї.

32 A nd Pharaoh even hardened his heart this time and did not let the people go.

(8-28) А фараон зробив запеклим своє серце також і цим разом, і не відпустив він народу того!
