1 ¶ Thou shalt not admit a false rumour; put not thine hand with the wicked to be a false witness.

Не будеш розносити неправдивих поголосок. Не покладеш руки своєї з несправедливим, щоб бути свідком неправди.

2 T hou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause hiding behind many to wrest judgment;

Не будеш з більшістю, щоб чинити зло. І не будеш висловлюватися про позов, прихиляючись до більшости, щоб перегнути правду.

3 n either shalt thou honour a poor man in his cause.

І не будеш потурати вбогому в його позові.

4 I f thou should encounter thine enemy’s ox or his ass astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

Коли стрінеш вола свого ворога або осла його, що заблудив, то конче повернеш його йому.

5 I f thou see the ass of him that hates thee lying under his burden, will thou forbear to help him? Thou shalt surely help him to raise it up.

Коли побачиш осла свого ворога, що лежить під тягарем своїм, то не загаїшся помогти йому, конче поможеш разом із ним.

6 T hou shalt not pervert the rights of thy poor in his cause.

Не перегинай суду на бік вбогого свого в його позові.

7 K eep thee far from a false matter; and slay thou not the innocent and righteous; for I will not justify the wicked.

Від неправдивої справи віддалишся, а чистого й справедливого не забий, бо Я не всправедливлю несправедливого.

8 A nd thou shalt take no bribe; for the bribe blinds the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.

А хабара не візьмеш, бо хабар осліплює зрячих і викривляє слова справедливих.

9 A lso thou shalt not oppress a stranger, for ye know the state of the soul of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

А приходька не будеш тиснути, бож ви познали душу приходька, бо самі були приходьками в єгипетськім краї.

10 ¶ And six years thou shalt sow thy land and shalt gather in its increase,

І шість літ будеш сіяти землю свою, і будеш збирати її врожай,

11 b ut the seventh year thou shalt leave it free and release it, that the poor of thy people may eat, and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard and with thy oliveyard.

а сьомого опустиш її та полишиш її, і будуть їсти вбогі народу твого, а позостале по них буде їсти польова звірина. Так само зробиш для виноградника твого, і для оливки твоєї.

12 S ix days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest, that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid and the stranger may be refreshed.

Шість день будеш робити діла свої, а сьомого дня спочинеш, щоб відпочив віл твій, і осел твій, і щоб відідхнув син невільниці твоєї й приходько.

13 A nd in all things that I have said unto you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

І все, що Я сказав вам, будете виконувати. А ймення інших богів не згадаєте, не буде почуте воно на устах твоїх.

14 T hree times thou shalt celebrate a feast unto me in the year:

Три рази на рік будеш святкувати Мені.

15 T hou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib, for in it thou didst come out from Egypt; and none shall appear before me empty),

Будеш дотримувати свято Опрісноків; сім день будеш їсти опрісноки, як наказав тобі, окресленого часу місяця авіва, бо в нім ти був вийшов з Єгипту. І не будете являтися перед лицем Моїм з порожніми руками.

16 A nd the feast of the harvest of the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field, and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

І свято жнив первоплоду праці твоєї, що сієш на полі. І свято збирання при закінченні року, коли ти збираєш з поля працю свою.

17 T hree times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

Три рази на рік буде являтися ввесь чоловічий рід твій перед лицем Владики Господа.

18 T hou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my lamb remain until the morning.

Не будеш приносити крови жертви Моєї на квашенім, а лій Моєї святкової жертви не буде ночувати аж до ранку.

19 T he first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in his mother’s milk.

Початки первоплоду твоєї землі принесеш до дому Господа, Бога твого. Не будеш варити ягняти в молоці його матері.

20 ¶ Behold, I send the Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Ось Я посилаю Ангола перед лицем твоїм, щоб він охороняв у дорозі тебе, і щоб провадив тебе до того місця, яке Я приготовив.

21 K eep thyself before him and hear his voice, grieve him not; for he will not pardon your rebellion, for my name is in him.

Стережися перед лицем Його, і слухайся Його голосу! Не протився Йому, бо Він не пробачить вашого гріха, бо Ім'я Моє в Ньому.

22 B ut if thou shalt indeed hear his voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies and an adversary unto those that afflict thee.

Коли ж справді послухаєш ти його голосу, і вчиниш усе, що говорю, то Я буду ворогувати проти ворогів твоїх, і буду гнобити твоїх гнобителів.

23 F or my Angel shall go before thee and bring thee in unto the land of the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Canaanite the Hivite and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.

Бо Мій Ангол ходитиме перед лицем твоїм, і запровадить тебе до амореянина, і хіттеянина, і періззеянина, і ханаанеянина, хіввеянина, і євусеянина, а Я знищу його.

24 T hou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works; but thou shalt utterly overthrow them and completely break down their images.

Не будеш вклонятися їхнім богам, і служити їм не будеш, і не будеш чинити за вчинками їх, бо конче порозбиваєш і конче поламаєш їхні стовпи для богів.

25 B ut ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread and thy water; and I will take all sickness away from the midst of thee.

І будеш служити ти Господеві, Богові своєму, і Він поблагословить твій хліб та воду твою, і з-посеред тебе усуне хворобу.

26 N o women shall abort, nor be barren, in thy land; the number of thy days I will fulfil.

У твоїм Краї не буде такої, що скидає плода, ані неплідної. Число твоїх днів Я доповню.

27 I will send my fear before thee and will trouble all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

Свій страх пошлю перед лицем твоїм, і приведу в замішання ввесь цей народ, що ти ввійдеш між нього. І всіх ворогів твоїх оберну до тебе потилицею.

28 A nd I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before thee.

І пошлю шершня перед тобою, і він вижене перед тобою хіввеянина, ханаанеянина та хіттеянина.

29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field multiply against thee.

Не вижену їх перед тобою в однім році, щоб не став той Край спустошеним, і не розмножилася на тебе польова звірина.

30 L ittle by little I will drive them out from before thee until thou be multiplied and take the land by inheritance.

Помалу Я буду їх виганяти перед тобою, аж поки ти розродишся, і посядеш цей Край.

31 A nd I will set thy borders from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines and from the desert unto the river; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

І покладу границю твою від моря Червоного й аж до моря Филистимського, і від пустині аж до Річки, бо дам в вашу руку мешканців цього Краю, і ти виженеш їх перед собою.

32 T hou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

Не складай умови з ними та з їхніми богами.

33 T hey shall not dwell in thy land lest peradventure they make thee sin against me by serving their gods, for it will be a snare unto thee.

Не будуть сидіти вони в твоїм Краї, щоб не ввести тебе в гріх супроти Мене, коли будеш служити їхнім богам, бо це буде пастка тобі!
