1 ¶ Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go unto judgment before the unjust, and not before the saints?

Когато някой от вас има нещо против друг, смее ли да се съди пред неправедните, а не пред светиите?

2 D o ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Или не знаете, че светиите ще съдят света? И ако вие ще съдите света, не сте ли достойни да съдите за най-малките неща?

3 K now ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more the things that pertain to this life?

Не знаете ли, че ние ще съдим ангели? А колко повече житейски работи.

4 I f then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set as judges the most humble who are in the congregation.

Тогава, ако имате житейски тъжби, поставяте ли за съдии онези, които от църквата се смятат за нищо?

5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brothers?

Казвам това, за да ви направя да се засрамите. Истина ли е, че няма между вас нито един мъдър човек, който би могъл да отсъди между братята си,

6 B ut brother goes to judgment against brother, and that before the unbelievers.

а брат с брат се съди, и то пред невярващите?

7 N ow therefore there is certainly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather suffer the wrong? why do ye not rather be defrauded?

Даже преди всичко е голям недостатък у вас, че имате тъжби помежду си. Защо по-добре не оставате онеправдани? Защо по-добре да не бъдете ограбени?

8 B ut ye do wrong and defraud and do this to your brothers.

А, напротив, вие сами онеправдавате и ограбвате, и то братя.

9 ¶ Know ye not that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate nor homosexuals

Или не знаете, че неправедните няма да наследят Божието царство? Не се заблуждавайте. Нито блудниците, нито идолопоклонниците, нито прелюбодейците, нито прелъстителите на юноши, нито хомосексуалистите,

10 n or thieves nor covetous nor drunkards nor revilers nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God.

нито крадците, нито сребролюбците, нито пияниците, нито хулителите, нито грабителите ще наследят Божието царство.

11 A nd such were some of you, but now ye are washed, but now ye are sanctified, but now ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

И такива бяха някои от вас; но вие измихте себе си от такива неща, но се осветихте, но се оправдахте в името на Господ Исус Христос и в Духа на нашия Бог. Призив за нравствена чистота

12 ¶ All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Всичко ми е позволено, ала не всичко е полезно; всичко ми е позволено, но не искам да съм обладан от нищо.

13 F oods are for the belly, and the belly for foods; but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

Храната е за стомаха и стомахът е за храната; но Бог ще унищожи и него, и нея. А тялото не е за блудодеяние, но за Господа, и Господ е за тялото,

14 A nd God, who raised up the Lord, will also raise up us by his own power.

а Бог, Който е възкресил Господа, ще възкреси и нас със силата Си.

15 K now ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them the members of a harlot? In no wise.

Не знаете ли, че вашите тела са части на Христос? И така, да отнема ли от Христос частите Му и да ги направя части на блудница? Да не бъде!

16 W hat? know ye not that he who is joined to the harlot is one body with her? For they shall be, saith he, two in one flesh.

Или не знаете, че който се сношава с блудница, е едно тяло с нея? Защото казва: "Двамата ще бъдат една плът."

17 B ut he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Но който се съединява с Господа, е един дух с Него.

18 F lee fornication. Any other sin that a man does is outside the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

Бягайте от блудство. Всеки друг грях, който би направил човек, е вън от тялото; но който блудства, съгрешава против своето собствено тяло.

19 W hat? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom ye have of God, and that ye are not your own?

Или не знаете, че вашето тяло е храм на Святия Дух, Който е във вас, Когото имате от Бога? И вие не сте свои си,

20 F or ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

защото сте били купени с цена; затова прославете Бога с телата си и с душите си, които са Божии.
