1 ¶ If thou wilt return unto me, O Israel, said the LORD, thou shalt have rest; and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then thou shalt not go into captivity.

Ако се върнеш, Израелю, казва Господ, ако се върнеш към Мен и ако махнеш мерзостите си от лицето Ми, и не бъдеш непостоянен,

2 A nd thou shalt swear, The LORD lives, in truth, in judgment, and in righteous ness; and the Gentiles shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

и ако в истина, в справедливост и в правда се закълнеш, като кажеш: Заклевам се в живота на Господа!, тогава народите ще се благославят в Него и в Него ще се прославят.

3 ¶ For thus has the LORD said to every man of Judah and of Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and do not sow among thorns.

Защото така казва Господ на Юдовите и йерусалимските мъже: Разорете целините си и не сейте между тръни.

4 C ircumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem lest my fury come forth like fire and burn so that no one can quench it because of the evil of your doings.

Обрежете се на Господа и отнемете краекожието на сърцата си, мъже Юдови и жители йерусалимски, за да не излезе яростта Ми като огън и да не пламне така, че да няма кой да я угаси, поради злото на делата ви. Пророчество за падението на Юдея

5 ¶ Declare ye in Judah and publish in Jerusalem and say, Blow ye the shofar in the land; cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

Възвестете на Юдея и прогласете на Йерусалим, като кажете: Затръбете по земята; извикайте високо и кажете: Съберете се и нека влезем в укрепените градове.

6 S et up the banner in Zion: come together, do not delay: for I bring evil from the north wind, and a great destruction.

Издигнете знаме към Сион; бягайте, не се спирайте; защото Аз ще докарам зло от север и голяма погибел.

7 T he lion is come up from his den, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

Лъвът излезе от гъсталака си и изтребителят на народите тръгна, излезе от мястото си, за да запусти земята ти и за да бъдат съсипани градовете ти, за да останат без жители.

8 F or this, gird yourselves with sackcloth; lament and howl; for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

Затова се препашете с вретища, плачете и ридайте; защото пламенната ярост Господня не се отвърна от нас.

9 A nd it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.

В онзи ден, казва Господ, разумът на царя ще се изгуби, както и разумът на първенците, свещениците ще се смутят и пророците ще се ужасят.

10 ( Then I said, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; when the sword reaches unto the soul.)

Тогава казах: О, Господи Йехова! Ти наистина съвсем си излъгал този народ и Йерусалим, като си казал: Мир ще имате; когато, напротив, мечът е стигнал до душата им.

11 A t that time it shall be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places of the wilderness came toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse.

В онова време ще кажат на този народ и на Йерусалим: От голите височини на пустинята духа горещ вятър към дъщерята на народа Ми - не за да отвее, нито да очисти.

12 A wind much more violent than these shall come unto me; for now I will also speak judgments against them.

Да! Силен вятър ще дойде от тях за Мен; и Аз сега ще произнеса присъди против тях.

13 B ehold, he shall come up as a cloud, and his chariots as a whirlwind; his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us, for we are given over to be spoiled!

Ето, като облак ще се издигне и колесниците му - като вихрушка; конете му са по-леки от орлите. Горко ни! Защото сме разорени.

14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness that thou may be saved. How long shalt thou entertain the thoughts of thy iniquity within thee?

Йерусалиме, измий сърцето си от зло, за да се избавиш; докога ще стоят в тебе лошите ти помисли?

15 F or the voice is heard from him who brings the news from Dan and from him who causes to hear the affliction from Mount Ephraim.

Защото глас известява от Дан и прогласява скръб от Ефремовата планина, като казва:

16 S ay ye of the Gentiles; behold, cause it to be heard upon Jerusalem, Watchmen come from a far country and shall give out their voice upon the cities of Judah.

Обявете на народите, ето, прогласете относно Йерусалим, че идат обсадители от далечна страна и издават вика си против Юдейските градове.

17 A s the watchmen of the heritages, they were upon her round about because she has been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.

Като полски пъдари те са се наредили против него от всяка страна.

18 T hy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness because it is bitter, because it reaches unto thine heart.

Твоето поведение и твоите дела ти причиниха това; това е плодът на твоето нечестие; наистина - горчиво е, наистина - стигна до сърцето ти.

19 ¶ My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart makes a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the shofar, the alarm of war.

Чреслата ми! Чреслата ми! Боли ме в дълбочините на сърцето ми; сърцето ми се смущава в мене; не мога да мълча, защото си чула, душо моя, тръбен глас, тревога за бой.

20 D estruction upon destruction is cried, for the whole land is destroyed; suddenly are my tents destroyed, and my curtains in a moment.

Погибел върху погибел се прогласява, защото цялата земя се опустошава; внезапно се развалиха шатрите ми и завесите ми - в един миг.

21 H ow long shall I see the banner and hear the voice of the shofar?

Докога ще гледам знаме и ще слушам тръбен глас?

22 F or my people are foolish; the ignorant sons with no understanding have not known me; they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Защото Моят народ е безумен, не Ме познават; глупави деца са и нямат разум; мъдри са да вършат зло, но да вършат добро не умеят.

23 I beheld the earth, and, behold, it was without order, and empty; and the heavens, and they had no light.

Погледнах към земята и, ето - тя беше пуста и празна; към небето - и нямаше светлината му.

24 I beheld the mountains, and, behold, they trembled, and all the hills were destroyed.

Погледнах към планините и, ето - трепереха, и всички хълмове се тресяха.

25 I beheld, and, behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled.

Погледнах и, ето - нямаше човек, и всички небесни птици бяха избягали.

26 I beheld, and, behold, Carmel was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of the LORD and by his fierce anger.

Погледнах и, ето - плодородната страна беше пуста и всичките ѝ градове бяха съсипани от присъствието на Господа и от Неговия пламенен гняв.

27 F or thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet I will not make a full end.

Защото така казва Господ: Цялата страна ще запустее; но съвършено изтребление няма да нанеса.

28 F or this shall the earth be made desolate, and the heavens above be darkened because I spoke; I purposed and did not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

Затова земята ще жалее и небето горе ще се помрачи; защото Аз изговорих това, Аз го намислих, не съм се разкаял за него, нито ще се отвърна от него.

29 T he whole city fled from the thunder of the horsemen and bowmen; they went into the thickets of the forests and climbed up upon the rocks; every city was forsaken, and not a man dwells therein.

От шума на конниците и на стрелците всеки град ще побегне; ще отидат в гъсталаците и ще се изкачат по скалите; всеки град ще бъде изоставен и няма да има човек да живее в тях.

30 A nd thou who art destroyed, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothe thyself with crimson, though thou deck thee with ornaments of gold, though thou paint thy eyes with antimony, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee; they will seek thy life.

А ти, запустяла, какво ще правиш? Ако и с червено да се облечеш, ако и със златни накити да се украсиш, ако и с много боя да боядисаш очите си, напразно ще се украсиш; любовниците ти ще те презрат, ще търсят да отнемат живота ти.

31 F or I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, the anguish as of her that brings forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewails herself, that spreads her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is faint because of the murderers.

Защото чух глас като на жена, когато ражда, болките като на онази, която ражда първородното си, гласа на сионовата дъщеря, която се задъхва, простира ръцете си и казва: Горко ми сега! Защото душата ми чезне поради убийците.
