1 ¶ The words of King Lemuel, the prophecy with which his mother taught him.

3 D o not give thy strength nor thy ways unto the women who destroy kings.

Не давай силата си на жените, нито пътищата си - на тези, които погубват царете.

4 I t is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor is beer for princes

Не е за царете, Лемуиле, не е за царете да пият вино, нито за князете да кажат: Къде е спиртното питие?

5 l est they drink and forget the law and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

Да не би, като се напият, да забравят закона и да не оправдаят угнетяваните.

6 G ive beer unto him that is ready to perish and wine unto those that have heavy hearts.

Давайте спиртно питие на онзи, който загива, и вино - на огорчения духом,

7 T hey drink and forget their need and remember their misery no more.

за да пийне и да забрави сиромашията си, и да не помни вече окаяността си.

8 O pen thy mouth for those who cannot speak in the judgment of all the sons of death.

Отваряй устата си за безгласния, за делото на всички, които загиват;

9 O pen thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and destitute.

отваряй устата си, съди справедливо и раздавай правосъдие на сиромаха и немотния. Възхвала на добродетелната жена

10 ¶ Aleph Who can find a valiant woman? for her price is far above precious stones.

Кой може да намери добродетелна жена? Защото тя е много по-ценна от скъпоценни камъни.

11 B eth The heart of her husband safely trusts in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

Сърцето на мъжа ѝ уповава на нея; и няма да му липсва печалба.

12 G imel She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Тя ще му донася добро, а не зло, през всички дни на живота си.

13 D aleth She sought wool and flax and worked willingly with her hands.

Търси вълна и лен и работи с ръцете си това, което ѝ е угодно.

14 H e She was like the merchants’ ships; she brings her food from afar.

Тя е като търговските кораби - донася храната си отдалеч.

15 V au She rose up even at night and gave food to her family and a portion to her maidens.

При това става, докато е още тъмно, и дава храна на дома си, и определената работа - на слугините си.

16 Z ain She considered the inheritance and bought it; with the fruit of her hands she planted a vineyard.

Разглежда нива и я купува; от плода на ръцете си сади лозе.

17 C heth She girded her loins with strength and strengthened her arms.

Опасва кръста си със сила и укрепва мишците си.

18 T eth She perceived that her merchandise was good; her fire did not go out by night.

Като схваща, че търгуването ѝ е полезно, светилникът ѝ не угасва през нощта.

19 J od She laid her hands to the spindle, and her hands held the distaff.

Слага ръцете си на вретеното и държи в ръката си хурката.

20 C aph She stretched out her hand to the poor; yea, she reached forth her hands to the destitute.

Отваря ръката си за сиромасите. Да! Простира ръцете си към нуждаещите се.

21 L amed She shall not be afraid of the snow for her family, for all her family is clothed with double garments.

Не се бои от снега за дома си; защото всичките ѝ домашни са облечени с двойни дрехи.

22 M em She makes herself tapestries; her clothing is of fine linen and purple.

Прави си завивки от дамаска; облеклото ѝ е от висон и морав плат.

23 N un Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land.

Мъжът ѝ е известен в портите, когато седи между местните старейшини.

24 S amech She made fine linen and sold it and delivered girdles unto the merchant.

Тя тъче ленено платно и го продава, и доставя пояси на търговците;

25 A in Strength and glory is her clothing, and she shall laugh in the last day.

сила и достолепие са облеклото ѝ; и тя гледа весело към бъдещето.

26 P e She opened her mouth with wisdom, and the law of mercy is upon her tongue.

Отваря устата си с мъдрост и законът на езика ѝ е благ.

27 T zaddi She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat bread in idleness.

Добре внимава в управлението на дома си и хляб на леност не яде.

28 K oph Her sons rose up and called her blessed; her husband also, and he praised her.

Синовете ѝ стават и я облажават; и мъжът ѝ я хвали, като казва:

29 R esh Many daughters have done valiantly, but thou dost excel them all.

Много дъщери са се държали достойно, но ти надмина всичките.

30 S chin Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but the woman that fears the LORD shall be praised.

Прелестта е измамлива и красотата е лъх; но жена, която се бои от Господа, тя ще бъде похвалена.

31 T au Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Дайте ѝ от плода на ръцете ѝ и делата ѝ нека я хвалят в портите.
