1 ¶ And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had taken; for he had taken an Ethiopian woman.

2 A nd they said, Has the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? Has he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

3 ( Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

А Моисей беше много кротък човек - повече от всички хора, които бяха на земята.

4 ¶ And the LORD spoke suddenly unto Moses and unto Aaron and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the testimony. And they three came out.

И веднага Господ каза на Моисей, на Аарон и на Мариам: Излезте вие тримата към шатъра за срещане. И така, излязоха и тримата.

5 T hen the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forth.

Тогава Господ слезе в облачен стълб, застана пред входа на шатъра и повика Аарон и Мариам, и те двамата излязоха.

6 A nd he said, Hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in dreams.

Той каза: Слушайте сега думите Ми. Ако има пророк между вас, Аз, Господ, ще му стана познат чрез видение, на сън ще му говоря.

7 M y slave Moses is not so, who is faithful in all my house.

Но слугата Ми Моисей не е така поставен, той, който е верен в целия Ми дом;

8 W ith him I will speak mouth to mouth and by sight not by enigmas; he shall see the similitude of the LORD. Why then were ye not afraid to speak against my slave Moses?

с него Аз ще говоря уста с уста, ясно, а не загадъчно; и той ще гледа Господния Образ. И така, как не се убояхте вие да говорите против слугата Ми Моисей?

9 T hen the anger of the LORD was kindled against them, and he departed.

И гневът на Господа пламна против тях и Той си отиде.

10 ¶ And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle, and, behold, Miriam was leprous as the snow; and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

След като облакът се оттегли от шатъра, ето, Мариам беше прокажена, бяла като сняг; Аарон, като погледна Мариам, ето, тя беше прокажена.

11 A nd Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, in which we have done foolishly, and we have sinned.

Тогава Аарон каза на Моисей: Моля ти се, господарю мой, не ни възлагай този грях, с който извършихме безумие и съгрешихме.

12 L et her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.

Да не бъде тя като мъртво дете, на което половината от тялото е изтляло, когато излиза от утробата на майка си.

13 T hen Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

И Моисей викна към Господа: О, Боже, моля Ти се, изцели я.

14 A nd the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

А Господ каза на Моисей: Ако би я заплюл баща ѝ в лицето, не щеше ли да бъде посрамена седем дни? Нека бъде затворена вън от стана седем дни и след това да се прибере.

15 S o Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days, and the people did not journey until Miriam was brought in again.

И така, Мариам беше затворена седем дни вън от стана и народът не се вдигна, докато не се прибра Мариам.

16 A nd afterward he moved the people from Hazeroth, and they pitched camp in the wilderness of Paran.

След това народът се вдигна от Асирот и разположи стан във Фаранската пустиня.
