1 ¶ Thus hath the LORD said unto me, Go and buy thee a linen girdle and put it upon thy loins, and thou shalt not put it in water.

Така ми каза Господ: Иди и си купи ленен пояс и го опаши на кръста си, но във вода не го слагай.

2 A nd I bought the girdle according to the word of the LORD and put it on my loins.

И така, купих пояса, според Господнето слово, и го опасах на кръста си.

3 A nd the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,

И Господнето слово дойде към мене втори път и каза:

4 T ake the girdle that thou hast bought, which is upon thy loins, and arise; go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a hole of the rock.

Вземи пояса, който си купил, който е на кръста ти, и стани и иди при Ефрат, и го скрий там в някоя пукнатина на канарата.

5 S o I went and hid it in the Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

И така, отидох и го скрих при Ефрат, според както ми заповяда Господ.

6 A nd it came to pass after many days that the LORD said unto me, Arise; go to the Euphrates and take from there the girdle, which I commanded thee to hide there.

И след много дни Господ ми каза: Стани и иди при Ефрат, и вземи оттам пояса, който ти заповядах да скриеш там.

7 T hen I went to the Euphrates and dug and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it; and, behold, the girdle was rotted, it was good for nothing.

Тогава отидох при Ефрат и изкопах, и взех пояса от мястото, където бях го скрил; и, ето, поясът се беше развалил, не струваше за нищо.

8 T hen the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Тогава Господнето слово дойде към мен и каза:

9 T hus hath the LORD said, After this manner I will cause the pride of Judah to rot and the great pride of Jerusalem.

Така казва Господ: Също така ще разваля гордостта на Юда и голямата гордост на Йерусалим.

10 T his evil people that refuses to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart and went after other gods to serve them and to worship them shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

Този зъл народ, които отказват да слушат думите Ми, които постъпват според упоритостта на своето сърце и следват други богове, за да им служат и да им се кланят, ще бъдат като този пояс, който не струва за нищо.

11 F or as the girdle cleaves to the loins of a man, so I have caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people and for fame, and for a praise, and for honour; but they did not hear.

Защото като пояс, който прилепва за кръста на човека, Аз прилепих към Себе Си целия Израелев дом и целия Юдов дом, казва Господ, за да Ми бъдат народ и име, хвала и слава; но не послушаха.

12 ¶ Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word: Thus hath the LORD God of Israel said, Every bottle shall be filled with wine; and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?

Затова им кажи това слово - така казва Господ, Израелевият Бог: Всеки мях се пълни с вино, и те ще ти кажат: Че не знаем ли ние, че всеки мях се пълни с вино?

13 T hen shalt thou say unto them, Thus hath the LORD said, Behold, I fill all the inhabitants of this land with drunken ness, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne and the priests and the prophets and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Тогава им кажи: Така казва Господ: Ето, ще напоя с вино до опиване всичките жители на тази земя - царете, които седят на Давидовия престол, свещениците, пророците и всички йерусалимски жители.

14 A nd I will break them one against another, even the fathers with the sons together, saith the LORD; I will not pity nor spare nor have mercy to not destroy them.

Ще ги удрям един о друг, бащите и синовете заедно, казва Господ; няма да пожаля, нито да пощадя, нито да покажа милост, за да не ги изтребя.

15 H ear ye and give ear; do not be proud: for the LORD has spoken.

Слушайте и внимавайте, не се надигайте; защото Господ е говорил.

16 G ive glory to the LORD your God before he causes darkness and before your feet stumble in mountains of darkness, and while ye look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death and makes it gross darkness.

Въздайте слава на Господа, вашия Бог, преди да докара тъмнина, преди краката ви да се препънат по тъмните планини и преди Той да превърне в мрачна сянка светлината, която вие очаквате, и да я направи гъста тъмнина.

17 B ut if ye will not hear this, my soul shall weep in secret because of your pride; and weeping bitterly, my eyes shall be undone in tears because the LORD’s flock was carried away captive.

Но ако не послушате това, душата ми ще плаче тайно поради гордостта ви; и окото ми ще се просълзи горчиво и ще рони сълзи, защото стадото Господне бива заведено в плен.

18 S ay unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down in the dust because the crown of your glory has come down off your heads.

Кажи на царя и на овдовялата царица: Смирете се, седнете ниско, защото падна главното ви украшение, славната ви корона.

19 T he cities of the south were shut up, and no one could open them: Judah was carried away captive; all of it, it was completely carried away captive.

Градовете на юг бяха затворени и няма кой да ги отвори; всички от Юда са закарани в плен, той цял е заведен в плен.

20 L ift up your eyes, and behold those that come from the north wind: where is the flock that was given thee, the cattle of thy beauty?

Вдигни очите си и виж идващите от север; къде е стадото, което ти бе дадено - хубавите ти овце?

21 W hat wilt thou say when he shall visit thee? For thou hast taught them to be princes and as head over thee; shall not sorrows take thee as a woman in travail?

Какво ще кажеш, когато ще постави приятелите ти да началстват над тебе, тъй като ти сам си ги научил да бъдат против тебе? Няма ли да те хванат болки, както на жена, която ражда?

22 ¶ When thou shalt say in thine heart, Why do these things come upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered and thy heels made bare.

Ако ли кажеш в сърцето си: Защо ми се случи това? Поради многото ти беззакония се вдигнаха полите ти и петите ти понасят насилие.

23 C an the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Likewise ye also cannot do good, being taught to do evil.

Може ли етиопец да промени кожата си или леопард - пъстротата си? Тогава можете да правите добро вие, които сте се научили да правите зло.

24 T herefore I will scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.

Затова ще ги разпръсна като плява, която се разнася от пустинния вятър.

25 T his shall be thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me said the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.

Това е, което ти се пада с жребий от Мен, отмереният ти дял, казва Господ. Понеже си Ме забравил и си уповавал на лъжа,

26 T herefore I uncovered thy skirts before thy face, and thy shame was manifested.

затова и Аз ще вдигна полите ти до лицето ти и ще се яви срамът ти.

27 I have seen thine adulteries and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom upon the hills; in the same field I saw thine abominations. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean at last? How long then shall it be?

Видях твоите мерзости по хълмовете и полетата, прелюбодействата ти и цвиленето ти, безсрамното ти блудство. Горко ти, Йерусалиме! Докога още няма да се очистиш?
