1 ¶ In his time Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came up, and Jehoiakim became his slave three years; then he turned and rebelled against him.

В неговите дни излезе вавилонският цар Навуходоносор; и Йоаким му стана подчинен за три години; после се отметна и въстана против него.

2 A nd the LORD sent against him armies of the Chaldees and armies of the Syrians and armies of the Moabites and armies of the sons of Ammon and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his slaves the prophets.

Но Господ прати против него халдейските чети, сирийските чети, моавските чети и четите на амонците; прати ги против Юдея, за да я съкрушат, според словото, което Господ говорѝ чрез слугите Си, пророците.

3 S urely at the commandment of the LORD this came upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did

Наистина по заповед от Господа се случи това на Юдея, за да я отхвърли от лицето Си поради греховете на Манасия, според всичко, което беше извършил,

4 a nd also for the innocent blood that he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which the LORD would not pardon.

а още поради невинната кръв, която беше пролял, като напълни Йерусалим с невинна кръв, така че Господ отказа да му прости.

5 N ow the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

А останалите дела на Йоаким и всичко, което извърши, са записани в Книгата на летописите на Юдейските царе.

6 S o Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin, his son, reigned in his stead.

И Йоаким заспа с бащите си; и вместо него се възцари синът му Йоахин.

7 A nd the king of Egypt never came out of his land again, for the king of Babylon had taken all that pertained to the king of Egypt from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates.

8 ¶ Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

Йоахин беше на възраст осемнадесет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ три месеца в Йерусалим; името на майка му беше Неуста, дъщеря на Елнатан от Йерусалим.

9 A nd he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.

Той вършѝ зло пред Господа, точно както беше направил баща му.

10 A t that time the slaves of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

В онова време слугите на вавилонския цар Навуходоносор излязоха против Йерусалим и обсадиха града.

11 N ebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, also came against the city when his slaves had besieged it.

И докато слугите му го обсаждаха, вавилонският цар Навуходоносор дойде до града;

12 S o Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, went out to the king of Babylon, he and his mother and his slaves and his princes and his eunuchs; and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

а Юдейският цар Йоахин излезе към вавилонския цар - той, майка му, слугите му, началниците му и евнусите му. Вавилонският цар го залови в осмата година на царуването си.

13 A nd he carried out of there all the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king’s house and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon, king of Israel, had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.

И той отнесе оттам всички съкровища на Господния дом и съкровищата на царската къща и съсече всички златни вещи в Господния храм, които Израелевият цар Соломон беше направил, както Господ беше казал.

14 A nd he carried away all Jerusalem and all the princes and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths; none remained except the poorest sort of the people of the land.

И пресели целия Йерусалим, всички първенци и храбри мъже, десет хиляди пленници, и всички дърводелци и ковачи; остана само по-бедната част от народа на земята.

15 H e likewise carried Jehoiachin away to Babylon and the king’s mother and the king’s wives and his officers, and the mighty of the land; he carried them all into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

Навуходоносор пресели Йоахин във Вавилон и заведе като пленници от Йерусалим във Вавилон майката на царя, жените на царя, евнусите на царя и първенците от земята.

16 A ll the men of might, which were seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths which were one thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

Всички юнаци - седем хиляди души, и дърводелците, и ковачите - хиляда души, всичките храбри войници, - тях вавилонският цар заведе пленници във Вавилон.

17 A nd the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his father’s brother, king in his stead and changed his name to Zedekiah.

Вавилонският цар постави чичо му Матания за цар вместо него, като промени името му на Седекия. Царуване на Седекия

18 Z edekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

Седекия беше на възраст двадесет и една години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ единадесет години в Йерусалим; името на майка му беше Амитала, дъщеря на Йеремия от Ливна.

19 A nd he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

Той вършѝ зло пред Господа, съвсем както беше направил Йоаким.

20 F or the anger of the LORD was against Jerusalem and Judah until he cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Защото от гнева на Господа, който пламна против Йерусалим и Юдея, докато ги отхвърли от лицето Си, стана, че Седекия въстана против вавилонския цар.
