1 ¶ Now king David was old and stricken in years, and they covered him with clothes, but he did not become warm.

А когато Давид остаря в напреднала възраст, при все че го завиваха с дрехи, не се стопляше.

2 T herefore, his slaves said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin, and let her stand before the king and let her warm him and let her lie in thy bosom, and she shall warm my lord the king.

Затова слугите му казаха: Нека потърсят за господаря ни, царя, млада девица, за да стои при него и да се грижи за него, и да спи на пазвата му, за да се топли господарят ни, царят.

3 S o they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the borders of Israel and found Abishag, a Shunammite and brought her to the king.

4 A nd the damsel was very fair and warmed the king and ministered to him, but the king knew her not.

Девицата беше много красива и се грижеше за царя, и му слугуваше; но царят не я позна.

5 ¶ Then Adonijah, the son of Haggith, exalted himself, saying, I will reign, and he prepared chariots and horsemen for himself and fifty men to run before him.

Тогава Адония, Агитиният син, надменно си каза: Аз ще царувам. И си приготви колесници и конници и петдесет мъже, които да тичат пред него.

6 A nd his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was very handsome; and he had begotten him after Absalom.

А баща му никога не му досаждаше с думите: Ти защо правиш това? А той беше и много красив наглед. Той се беше родил на Давид след Авесалом.

7 A nd he conferred with Joab, the son of Zeruiah and with Abiathar, the priest who helped Adonijah.

Той се сговори с Йоав, Саруиния син, и със свещеника Авиатар и те последваха Адония и му помагаха.

8 B ut Zadok the priest, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan, the prophet, and Shimei and Rei and the mighty men of David did not follow Adonijah.

Но свещеникът Садок, Ванайя, Йодаевият син, пророк Натан, Семей и Реий, и Давидовите силни мъже не бяха с Адония.

9 A nd Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by Enrogel, and called all his brethren, the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah, the king’s slaves;

И Адония закла овце, говеда и угоени телета при скалата на Зоелет, която е при извора Рогих, и покани всичките си братя, царските синове, и всичките Юдови мъже, царските служители.

10 b ut he did not invite Nathan, the prophet, nor Benaiah nor the mighty men nor Solomon his brother.

Обаче пророка Натан, Ванайя, силните мъже и брат си Соломон не покани.

11 ¶ And Nathan spoke unto Bathsheba, the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, reigns without David our lord knowing of it?

Тогава Натан каза на Соломоновата майка Витсавее: Не си ли чула, че се е възцарил Адония, Агитиният син, а господарят ни Давид не знае това?

12 N ow, therefore, come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel that thou may deliver thine own life and the life of thy son Solomon.

Ела сега да те посъветвам, за да избавиш своя живот и живота на сина си Соломон.

13 G o and enter in unto King David and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thy handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon, thy son, shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? Why then does Adonijah reign?

Иди, влез при цар Давид и му кажи: Господарю мой, царю, ти не се ли закле на слугинята си, като каза: Синът ти Соломон непременно ще царува след мен и той ще седи на престола ми? И така, защо се е възцарил Адония?

14 A nd while thou art yet speaking there with the king, I also will come in after thee and finish thy words.

Докато ти още говориш там с царя, ще вляза и аз след теб и ще потвърдя думите ти.

15 A nd Bathsheba went in unto the king into the chamber; and the king was very old; and Abishag, the Shunammite, ministered unto the king.

И така, Витсавее влезе при царя в спалнята, а царят беше много стар и сунамката Ависага му прислужваше.

16 A nd Bathsheba bowed and worshipped the king. And the king said, What dost thou desire?

Витсавее се наведе и се поклони на царя. Царят я попита: Какво искаш?

17 A nd she said unto him, My lord, thou didst sware by the LORD thy God unto thy handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon, thy son, shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne;

А тя му отговори: Господарю мой, ти се закле в Господа, твоя Бог, на слугинята си и каза: Твоят син Соломон непременно ще царува след мен и той ще седи на престола ми.

18 a nd now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and now, my lord the king, thou dost not know it.

Но сега Адония се е възцарил. А ти, господарю мой, царю, не знаеш за това.

19 H e has slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance and has called all the sons of the king and Abiathar, the priest, and Joab, the captain of the host; but he has not invited Solomon, thy slave.

Той е заклал говеда, угоени телета и овце в изобилие и е поканил всички царски синове и свещеника Авиатар, и военачалника Йоав. Слугата ти Соломон обаче не е поканил.

20 A nd thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee that thou should tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

Но към тебе, господарю мой, царю, към тебе са обърнати очите на целия Израел, за да им известиш кой ще седне на престола на господаря ми, царя, след него.

21 O therwise, it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers that I and my son Solomon shall be counted as sinners.

Иначе, когато господарят ми, царят, заспи с бащите си, аз и синът ми Соломон ще бъдем смятани за престъпници.

22 A nd while she yet spoke with the king, Nathan, the prophet, also came in.

А докато тя още говореше с царя, влезе и пророк Натан.

23 A nd they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan, the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

И известиха на царя: Пророк Натан идва. И той, като влезе пред царя, му се поклони с лице до земята.

24 A nd Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?

Натан каза: Господарю мой, царю, казал ли си ти: Адония ще царува след мен и той ще седи на престола ми?

25 F or today he has gone down and has slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance and has called all the king’s sons and the captains of the host and Abiathar, the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him and say, Long live King Adonijah.

Защото той слезе днес и закла говеда, угоени телета и овце в изобилие и покани всички царски синове и военачалниците, и свещеника Авиатар. И те ядат и пият пред него и казват: Да живее цар Адония!

26 B ut he did not invite me, thy slave, nor Zadok, the priest, nor Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, nor thy slave Solomon.

А мене, мене, слугата ти, свещеника Садок, Ванайя, Йодаевия син, и слугата ти Соломон той не покани.

27 I s this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not declared unto thy slave who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?

От господаря ми, царя, ли е заповядано това, без да си разкрил намерението на слугите си кой ще седне на престола на господаря ми, царя, след него? Помазване на Соломон за цар

28 T hen King David answered and said, Call me Bathsheba. And she came into the king’s presence and stood before the king.

Тогава цар Давид отговори: Повикайте ми Витсавее. И тя влезе при царя и застана пред него.

29 A nd the king swore and said, As the LORD lives, who has ransomed my soul out of all distress,

И царят се закле: В името на живия Господ, Който е избавил душата ми от всяко бедствие,

30 e ven as I swore unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon, thy son, shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.

както ти се заклех в Господа, Израелевия Бог, като казах, че синът ти Соломон ще царува след мен и че той ще седи вместо мене на престола ми, непременно така ще направя днес.

31 T hen Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth and did reverence to the king and said, Let my lord King David live for ever.

Тогава Витсавее се наведе с лице до земята, поклони се на царя и каза: Да живее господарят ми, цар Давид, довека!

32 ¶ And King David said, Call me Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada. And they entered into the presence of the king.

Тогава цар Давид каза: Повикайте ми свещеника Садок, пророк Натан и Ванайя, Йодаевия син. И те дойдоха пред царя.

33 A nd the king said unto them, Take with you the slaves of your lord and cause Solomon my son to ride upon my own mule and bring him down to Gihon.

Царят им нареди: Вземете със себе си слугите на вашия господар, качете сина ми Соломон на моето муле и го заведете долу в Гион.

34 A nd let Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, anoint him there king over Israel; and ye shall blow the shofar and say, Long live king Solomon.

И свещеникът Садок и пророк Натан нека го помажат там за цар над Израел. Засвирете с тръба и извикайте: Да живее цар Соломон!

35 A fterward ye shall come up after him that he may come and sit upon my throne, for he shall reign in my stead, for I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.

Тогава се качете тук след него и нека дойде и седне на престола ми, защото той ще царува вместо мен и аз го поставих да бъде вожд на Израел и Юда.

36 T hen Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, answered the king and said, Amen. Let the LORD God of my lord the king say so too.

А Ванайя, Йодаевият син, отговори на царя: Амин! Така да каже и Господ Бог на господаря ми, царя!

37 A s the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so let him be with Solomon and let him make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.

Както Господ е бил с господаря ми, царя, така да бъде и със Соломон и да направи престола му още по-велик от престола на господаря ми, цар Давид.

38 S o Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and caused Solomon to ride upon King David’s mule and brought him to Gihon.

И така, свещеникът Садок, пророк Натан и Ванайя, Йодаевият син, с херетците и фелетците излязоха и качиха Соломон на мулето на цар Давид и го доведоха в Гион.

39 A nd Zadok, the priest, took the horn of the oil of the tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they blew the shofar, and all the people said, Long live king Solomon.

Свещеникът Садок взе рога с мирото от шатъра за срещане и помаза Соломон. И засвириха с тръба и целият народ извика: Да живее цар Соломон!

40 A fterward all the people came up following him, and the people sang with flutes and rejoiced with great joy so that it seemed the earth rent with the sound of them.

И целият народ го последва. Народът свиреше със свирки и се веселеше твърде буйно, така че земята ехтеше от виковете им.

41 ¶ And Adonijah and all the guests that were with him heard it when they had finished eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the shofar, he said, Why is this noise of the city being in an uproar?

А Адония и всичките му гости чуха шума, като свършиха яденето си. И когато Йоав чу тръбния звук, каза: Защо е този шум и градът е развълнуван?

42 A nd while he yet spoke, behold, Jonathan, the son of Abiathar, the priest, came; and Adonijah said unto him, Come in, for thou art a valiant man and bringest good tidings.

Докато още говореше, дойде Йонатан, син на свещеника Авиатар. И Адония каза: Влез, защото ти си достоен мъж и носиш добри известия.

43 A nd Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord King David has made Solomon king.

А Йонатан отговори на Адония: Наистина господарят ни, цар Давид, направи Соломон цар.

44 A nd the king has sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mule;

Царят прати с него свещеника Садок, пророка Натан и Ванайя, Йодаевия син, с херетците и фелетците и го качиха на царското муле.

45 a nd Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, have anointed him king in Gihon; and they are come up from there rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard.

Свещеникът Садок и пророк Натан го помазаха за цар в Гион. И оттам отидоха нагоре с веселие, така че градът екна. Това е шумът, който сте чули.

46 A nd also Solomon has been seated on the throne of the kingdom.

При това Соломон седна на престола на царството.

47 A nd moreover, the king’s slaves came to bless our lord King David, saying, God make the name of Solomon better than thy name and make his throne greater than thy throne. And the king worshipped upon the bed.

Освен това и царските слуги влязоха да честитят на господаря ни, цар Давид, и казаха: Бог да направи името на Соломон по-светло и от твоето име и да направи престола му по-велик и от твоя престол. И царят се поклони, както беше на леглото си.

48 A nd also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who has given one to sit on my throne today, mine eyes even seeing it.

Царят още говорѝ така: Благословен да бъде Господ, Израелевият Бог, Който ми даде днес син да седи на престола ми, докато очите ми го гледат.

49 A nd all the guests that were with Adonijah were afraid and rose up and went each one his way.

Тогава всички гости на Адония се уплашиха и като станаха, отидоха всеки по пътя си.

50 A nd Adonijah, fearing the presence of Solomon, arose and went and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

А Адония, понеже се уплаши от Соломон, стана и отиде да се хване за роговете на жертвеника.

51 A nd it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon, for he has caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let King Solomon swear unto me today that he will not slay his slave with the sword.

Тогава известиха на Соломон: Ето, Адония се бои от цар Соломон и се е хванал за роговете на жертвеника; и казва: Нека ми се закълне днес цар Соломон, че няма да убие слугата си с меч.

52 A nd Solomon said, If he will show himself virtuous, there shall not one hair of him fall to the ground, but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.

А Соломон каза: Ако се покаже достоен мъж, нито един от космите му няма да падне на земята; но ако се намери зло в него, ще бъде умъртвен.

53 S o King Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to King Solomon. And Solomon said unto him, Go to thy house.

И така, цар Соломон прати и свалиха Адония от жертвеника; и той дойде да се поклони на цар Соломон. А Соломон му каза: Иди у дома си.
