1 ¶ And God spoke all these words, saying,

Тогава Бог изговори всички тези думи:

2 I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt out of the house of slavery.

Аз съм Йехова, твоят Бог, Който те изведох от Египетската земя, от дома на робството.

3 T hou shalt have no other gods before me.

Да нямаш други богове освен Мене.

4 T hou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath nor that is in the water under the earth.

Не си прави кумир или каквото и да е изображение на нещо, което е на небето горе, на земята долу или във водата под земята;

5 T hou shalt not bow down to them nor serve them; for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons unto the third and fourth generation of those that hate me

да не им се кланяш, нито да им служиш, защото Аз, Господ, твоят Бог, съм Бог ревнив, Който въздавам беззаконието на бащите върху децата до третото и четвъртото поколение на онези, които Ме мразят,

6 a nd showing mercy unto thousands of generations of those that love me and keep my commandments.

а показвам милости към хиляда поколения на онези, които Ме обичат и пазят Моите заповеди.

7 T hou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain for the LORD will not hold guiltless anyone that takes his name in vain.

Не изговаряй напразно Името на Господа, твоя Бог; защото Господ няма да смята за безгрешен онзи, който изговаря напразно Името Му.

8 T hou shalt remember the sabbath day, to sanctify it.

Помни съботния ден, за да го освещаваш.

9 S ix days shalt thou labour and do all thy work;

Шест дни да работиш и да вършиш всичките си дела;

10 b ut the seventh day shall be the sabbath of the LORD thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manslave, nor thy maidslave, nor thy beast, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;

а на седмия ден, който е събота на Господа, твоя Бог, да не вършиш никаква работа, нито ти, нито синът ти, нито дъщеря ти, нито слугата ти, нито слугинята ти, нито добитъкът ти, нито чужденецът, който е в дома ти;

11 f or in six days the LORD made the heavens and earth, the sea, and all that is in them and rested the seventh day; therefore, the LORD blessed the sabbath day and sanctified it.

защото в шест дни Господ направи небето и земята, морето и всичко, което е в тях, а на седмия ден си почина; затова Господ благослови съботния ден и го освети.

12 ¶ Honour thy father and thy mother that thy days may be lengthened upon the land which the LORD thy God gives thee.

Почитай баща си и майка си, за да се продължават дните ти на земята, която ти дава Господ, твоят Бог.

13 T hou shalt not murder.

Не убивай.

14 T hou shalt not commit adultery.

Не прелюбодействай.

15 T hou shalt not steal.

Не кради.

16 T hou shalt not give false testimony against thy neighbour.

Не свидетелствай лъжливо против ближния си.

17 T hou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manslave, nor his maidslave, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Не пожелавай къщата на ближния си, не пожелавай жената на ближния си, нито слугата му, нито слугинята му, нито вола му, нито осела му, нито каквото и да е притежание на ближния ти.

18 ¶ And all the people saw the thunderings and the lightnings and the noise of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.

И целият народ гледаше и слушаше гръмотевиците, светкавиците, тръбния глас и димящата планина; и като видя това, народът се оттегли и застана надалеч.

19 A nd they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us lest we die.

Те казаха на Моисей: Ти говорѝ на нас и ние ще слушаме; а Бог да не ни говори, за да не умрем.

20 T hen Moses said unto the people, Fear not, for God is come to prove you and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

Но Моисей каза на народа: Не се бойте; Бог дойде да ви изпита и за да имате страх от Него и да не съгрешавате. Закон за жертвеника

21 T hen the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

Така народът стоеше надалеч. А Моисей се приближи до гъстия мрак, където беше Бог.

22 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the sons of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

Тогава Господ каза на Моисей: Така да кажеш на израелтяните: Вие сами видяхте, че ви говорих от небето.

23 Y e shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

Не правете други богове редом с Мене; не си правете богове от сребро и злато.

24 A n altar of earth thou shalt make unto me and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings and thy peace offerings, thy sheep and thine oxen; in whatever place where I cause my name to be remembered, I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

От пръст Ми издигай жертвеник и жертвай на него всеизгарянията си и мирните си приноси, овцете и говедата си. На всяко място, където ще направя да помнят Името Ми, ще идвам при теб и ще те благославям.

25 A nd if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

Но ако Ми издигнеш каменен жертвеник, не го гради от дялани камъни; защото ако го докоснеш със сечиво, ще го оскверниш.

26 N either shalt thou go up by steps unto my altar that thy nakedness not be discovered thereon.

И да не се изкачваш на жертвеника Ми по стъпала, за да не се открие голотата ти на него.
