1 ¶ Now it came to pass, as David dwelt in his house, that David said to Nathan, the prophet, Behold, I dwell in a house of cedars, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD under curtains.

След като Давид се настани в къщата си, той каза на пророк Натан: Виж, аз живея в кедрова къща, а ковчегът на Господния завет стои под завеси.

2 T hen Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thy heart for God is with thee.

Натан отговори на Давид: Направи всичко, което е в сърцето ти, защото Бог е с тебе.

3 A nd it came to pass the same night that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,

Но през същата нощ Господнето слово дойде към Натан и каза:

4 G o and tell David my slave, Thus hath the LORD said, Thou shalt not build me a house to dwell in,

Иди кажи на слугата Ми Давид: Така говори Господ: Ти няма да Ми построиш дом, в който да обитавам,

5 f or I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day, but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

защото от деня, когато изведох Израел от Египет, дори до днес не съм обитавал в дом, а съм ходил от шатър в шатър и от скиния в скиния.

6 W herever I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me a house of cedars?

В кое от всичките места, където съм ходил с целия Израел, говорих Аз някога на някой от Израелевите съдии, на които заповядах да пасат народа Ми, като казах: Защо не Ми построихте кедров дом?

7 N ow, therefore, thus shalt thou say unto my slave David, Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said, I took thee from the sheepfold, from following the sheep that thou should be ruler over my people Israel;

И така, сега така да кажеш на слугата Ми Давид: Така каза Господ на Силите: Аз те взех от кошарата, от подир стадото, за да бъдеш вожд на народа Ми Израел;

8 a nd I have been with thee wherever thou hast walked and have cut off all thy enemies from before thee and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.

и съм бил с тебе навсякъде, където си ходил, и изтребих всичките ти неприятели пред теб, и направих името ти да е както името на великите, които са на земята.

9 L ikewise I have ordained a place for my people Israel and have planted him that he dwell by himself and no longer be moved; neither shall the sons of iniquity waste them any more, as before,

И ще определя мястото за народа Си Израел и ще го насадя, и ще обитава на своето собствено място, и няма да се премести вече; и тези, които вършат неправда, няма вече да ги притесняват, както преди

10 s ince the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. I have humbled all thy enemies and announce unto thee that the LORD will build thee a house.

и както от времето, когато поставих съдии над народа Си Израел; и ще покоря всичките ти неприятели. При това ти явявам, че Господ ще ти съгради дом.

11 A nd it shall come to pass, when thy days are fulfilled to go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.

Когато се навършат дните ти и трябва да отидеш при бащите си, ще въздигна потомеца ти след тебе, който ще бъде един от твоите синове, и ще утвърдя царството му.

12 H e shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne eternally.

Той ще Ми построи дом; и Аз ще утвърдя престола му до века.

13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son; and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee;

Аз ще му бъда Отец и той ще Ми бъде син; и няма да отнема милостта Си от него, както я отнех от онзи, който беше преди теб;

14 b ut I will confirm him in my house and in my kingdom for ever, and his throne shall be established for evermore.

а ще го закрепя в Моя дом и в Моето царство до века; престолът му ще бъде утвърден до века.

15 A ccording to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

И Натан говорѝ на Давид точно според тези думи и напълно според това видение.

16 ¶ And David, the king, came and sat before the LORD and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me here?

Тогава цар Давид влезе, седна пред Господа и каза: Кой съм аз, Господи Боже, и какъв е моят дом, че си ме довел до това положение ?

17 A nd yet this was a small thing in thy eyes, O God, for thou hast also spoken of thy slave’s house for a great while to come and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.

Но даже и това беше малко пред очите Ти, Боже; а Ти си говорил още за едно дълго бъдеще за дома на слугата Си и благосклонно си погледнал към мене като към човек от висока степен, Господи Боже.

18 W hat more can David add asking thee to glorify thy slave? For thou knowest thy slave.

Какво повече може да Ти каже Давид за честта, оказана на слугата Ти? Защото Ти познаваш слугата Си.

19 O LORD, for thy slave’s sake and according to thy own heart, thou hast done all this greatness, in making known all thy great things.

Господи, заради слугата Си и според Своето сърце Ти си сторил всичко за това велико дело, за да явиш всички тези велики дела.

20 O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Господи, няма подобен на Тебе според всичко, което сме чули с ушите си.

21 A nd what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to ransom to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out the Gentiles from before thy people, whom thou didst redeem out of Egypt?

И кой друг народ на света е като Твоя народ Израел, при когото Бог дойде да го откупи за Свой народ, за да придобиеш име чрез велики и страшни дела, като Ти прогони народите пред народа Си, който си откупил от Египет?

22 F or thy people Israel didst thou make thy own people for ever, and thou, LORD, didst become their God.

Защото си направил народа Си Израел Свой народ до века; и Ти, Господи, им стана Бог.

23 T herefore, now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy slave and concerning his house be established for ever and do as thou hast said.

И сега, Господи, нека се утвърди до века думата, която си говорил за слугата Си и за дома му, и направѝ както си говорил.

24 L et it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, that it may be said, The LORD of the hosts, God of Israel, is God unto Israel; and let the house of David thy slave be established before thee.

Нека се утвърди; така че да се възвеличи името Ти до века, за да казват: Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог, е Бог на Израел; и нека бъде утвърден пред Тебе домът на слугата Ти Давид.

25 F or thou, O my God, hast told thy slave that thou wilt build him a house; therefore, thy slave has found in his heart to pray before thee.

Защото ти, Боже мой, откри на слугата Си, че ще му съградиш дом; затова слугата Ти намери сърцето си разположено да се помоли пред Теб.

26 A nd now, LORD, thou art God and hast promised this goodness unto thy slave;

И сега, Господи, Ти си Бог и си обещал тези блага на слугата Си;

27 n ow it has pleased thee to bless the house of thy slave, that it may be before thee for ever; for thou, O LORD, hast blessed it, and it shall be blessed for ever.

и така, сега благоволи да благословиш дома на слугата Си, за да пребъдва пред Тебе до века, защото Ти, Господи, си го благословил и ще бъде благословен до века.
