1 ¶ Now the sons of Israel after their number, who were chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each course was of twenty-four thousand.

2 O ver the first course for the first month was Jashobeam, the son of Zabdiel, and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Над първия отряд за първия месец беше Ясовеам, Завдииловият син; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

3 O f the sons of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.

Той беше от Фаресовите потомци, първенец на всички военачалници, за първия месец.

4 A nd over the course of the second month was Dodai, an Ahohite, and in his course was prince Mikloth; in his course likewise were twenty-four thousand.

Над отряда за втория месец беше ахохецът Додай, с Макелот за първенец на неговия отряд; също и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

5 T he third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Третият военачалник за третия месец беше Ванайя, син на свещеник Йодай, главен; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

6 T his is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty; and in his course was Ammizabad, his son.

Това е онзи Ванайя, който беше силният между тридесетте и над тридесетте; в неговия отряд беше и синът му Амизавад.

7 T he fourth for the fourth month was Asahel, the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Четвъртият военачалник за четвъртия месец беше Йоавовият брат Асаил и с него синът му Зевадия; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

8 T he fifth for the fifth month was prince Shamhuth, the Izrahite; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Петият военачалник за петия месец беше езраецът Самот; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

9 T he sixth for the sixth month was Ira, the son of Ikkesh of Tekoah; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Шестият военачалник за шестия месец беше Ирас, син на текоеца Екис; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

10 T he seventh for the seventh month was Helez, the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Седмият военачалник за седмия месец беше фелонецът Хелис, от Ефремовите синове; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

11 T he eighth for the eighth month was Sibbecai, the Hushathite, of Zarhi; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Осмият военачалник за осмия месец беше хусатецът Сивехай, от Заровците; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

12 T he ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer, the Anetothite, of the Benjamites; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

13 T he tenth for the tenth month was Maharai, the Netophathite of Zarhi; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

Десетият военачалник за десетия месец беше нетофатецът Маарай, от Заровите синове; и в неговия отряд имаше двадесет и четири хиляди души.

14 T he eleventh for the eleventh month was Benaiah, the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

15 T he twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldai, the Netophathite of Othniel; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

16 ¶ Presiding, likewise, over the tribes of Israel: over the Reubenites was prince Eliezer, the son of Zichri; over the Simeonites, Shephatiah, the son of Maachah.

17 O ver the Levites, Hashabiah, the son of Kemuel. Over the Aaronites, Zadok.

18 O ver Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David. Over those of Issachar, Omri, the son of Michael.

19 O ver those of Zebulun, Ishmaiah, the son of Obadiah. Over those of Naphtali, Jerimoth, the son of Azriel.

20 O ver the sons of Ephraim, Hosea, the son of Azaziah. Over the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel, the son of Pedaiah.

21 O ver the other half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo, the son of Zechariah. Over those of Benjamin, Jaasiel, the son of Abner.

22 A nd over Dan, Azareel, the son of Jeroham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.

23 B ut David did not number those twenty years old and under because the LORD had said he would multiply Israel like to the stars of the heavens.

Но между тях Давид не преброи онези, които бяха на двадесетгодишна възраст и по-долу; защото Господ беше казал, че ще умножава Израел, както небесните звезди.

24 J oab, the son of Zeruiah, had begun to number, but he did not finish; and because of this, wrath fell upon Israel; and thus the number was not put in the account of the chronicles of King David.

Йоав, Саруииният син, почна да брои, но не свърши; и поради това преброяване падна гняв върху Израел и броят не бе вписан между работите, записани в летописите на цар Давид.

25 A nd Azmaveth, the son of Adiel, had charge of the king’s treasures and of the treasures of the fields, of the cities, and of the villages, and of the castles, was Jehonathan, the son of Uzziah;

А над царските съкровища беше Азмавет, Адииловият син; над съкровищата на полетата, на градовете, на селата и на крепостите - Йонатан, Озиевият син;

26 a nd over those that did the work of the tillage of the ground in the fields was Ezri the son of Chelub;

над полските работници, които обработваха земята - Езрий, Хелувовият син;

27 a nd over the vineyards was Shimei, the Ramathite; over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi, the Shiphmite;

над лозята - раматецът Семей; над плода от лозята, слаган в складовете за вино - Завдий, Сифамиевият син;

28 a nd over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that were in the low plains was Baalhanan, the Gederite; and over the cellars of oil, Joash;

над маслините и черниците, които бяха на полето - гедерецът Вааланан; над складовете за дървено масло - Йоас;

29 a nd over the cows that fed in Sharon was Shitrai, the Sharonite; and over the cows that were in the valleys was Shaphat, the son of Adlai;

над говедата, които пасеха в Сарон - саронецът Ситрай; над говедата, които бяха в долините - Сафат, Адлайевият син;

30 o ver the camels, Obil, the Ishmaelite; and over the asses, Jehdeiah, the Meronothite;

над камилите - исмаилецът Овил; над ослите - меронотецът Ядайя;

31 a nd over the sheep was Jaziz, the Hagerite. All these were the princes of the substance which was King David’s.

а над овцете - агарецът Язиз. Всички те бяха надзиратели на цар Давидовия имот.

32 A nd Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni had charge of the king’s sons.

А Давидовият чичо Йонатан, човек разумен и книжовник, беше съветник; Ехиил, Амониевият син, беше с царските синове;

33 A hithophel was the king’s counsellor; and Hushai, the Archite, was the king’s companion.

Ахитофел - царски съветник; архиецът Хусай - царски приятел;

34 A nd after Ahithophel was Jehoiada, the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. And Joab was the general of the king’s army.

а съветниците след Ахитофел - Йодай, Ванайевият син, и Авиатар; а началник на царската войска - Йоав.
