1 T he Word of the Lord about Israel: The Lord, Who spread out the heavens, who put the earth in its place, and made the spirit of man within him says this about Israel:

A palavra do Senhor acerca de Israel: Fala o Senhor, o que estendeu o céu, e que lançou os alicerces da terra e que formou o espírito do homem dentro dele.

2 “ I am going to make Jerusalem like a cup that makes all the people around it seem to be drunk. Judah will be shut in by armies as well as Jerusalem.

Eis que eu farei de Jerusalém um copo de atordoamento para todos os povos em redor, e também para Judá, durante o cerco contra Jerusalém.

3 O n that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the people. All who lift it will be hurt. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

Naquele dia farei de Jerusalém uma pedra pesada para todos os povos; todos os que a erguerem, serão gravemente feridos. E ajuntar-se-ão contra ela todas as nações da terra.

4 O n that day,” says the Lord, “I will put fear in every horse, and make the horsemen crazy. But I will watch over the people of Judah, while I make every horse of the nations blind.

Naquele dia, diz o Senhor, ferirei de espanto a todos os cavalos, e de loucura os que montam neles. Mas sobre a casa de Judá abrirei os meus olhos, e ferirei de cegueira todos os cavalos dos povos.

5 T hen the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong because of the Lord of All, their God.’

Então os chefes de Judá dirão no seu coração: Os habitantes de Jerusalém são a minha força no Senhor dos exércitos, seu Deus.

6 O n that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a pot of fire among pieces of wood, like fire among cut grain. They will destroy all the people around them, on the right and on the left. And the people of Jerusalem will again live on their own land in Jerusalem.

Naquele dia porei os chefes de Judá como um braseiro ardente no meio de lenha, e como um facho entre gavelas; e eles devorarão ã direita e ã esquerda a todos os povos em redor; e Jerusalém será habitada outra vez no seu próprio lugar, mesmo em Jerusalém.

7 T he Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the shining-greatness of the family of David and of the people of Jerusalem may not be greater than that of Judah.

Também o Senhor salvará primeiro as tendas de Judá, para que a glória da casa de Davi e a glória dos habitantes de Jerusalém não se engrandeçam sobre Judá.

8 O n that day the Lord will fight for the people of Jerusalem. The one who is weak among them on that day will be like David. And the family of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord leading them.

Naquele dia o Senhor defenderá os habitantes de Jerusalém, de sorte que o mais fraco dentre eles naquele dia será como Davi, e a casa de Davi será como Deus, como o anjo do Senhor diante deles.

9 O n that day I will destroy every nation that comes against Jerusalem. Sorrow in Jerusalem

E naquele dia, tratarei de destruir todas as nações que vierem contra Jerusalem.

10 “ I will pour out the Spirit of loving-favor and prayer on the family of David and on those who live in Jerusalem. They will look on Him Whose side they cut. They will cry in sorrow for Him, as one cries for an only son. They will cry much over Him, like those who have lost their first-born son.

Mas sobre a casa de Davi, e sobre os habitantes de Jerusalém, derramarei o espírito de graça e de súplicas; e olharão para aquele a quem traspassaram, e o prantearão como quem pranteia por seu filho único; e chorarão amargamente por ele, como se chora pelo primogênito.

11 O n that day there will be much crying in Jerusalem, like the cries of Hadadrimmon in the plain of Megiddo.

Naquele dia será grande o pranto em Jerusalém, como o pranto de Hadade-Rimom no vale de Megidom.

12 T he land will be filled with sorrow, each family by itself. The families of David and their wives, and the family of Nathan and their wives, will each be filled with sorrow.

E a terra pranteará, cada família ã parte: a família da casa de Davi ã parte, e suas mulheres ã parte; e a família da casa de Natã ã parte, e suas mulheres ã parte;

13 T he family of Levi and their wives will cry in sorrow, and the family of the Shimeites and their wives,

a familia da casa de Levi ã parte, e suas mulheres ã parte; a família de Simei ã parte, e suas mulheres ã parte;

14 a nd all the families that are left, and their wives.

todas as mais famílias, cade família ã parte, e suas mulheres ã parte.
