1 T he Lord said to Moses,

Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:

2 “ Say to Aaron and his sons and to all the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Lord has told us to do.

Fala a Arão e aos seus filhos, e a s todos os filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Isto é o que o Senhor tem ordenado:

3 I f any man of the house of Israel kills a bull, lamb or goat, among the tents or away from the tents,

Qualquer homem da casa de Israel que imolar boi, ou cordeiro, ou cabra, no arraial, ou fora do arraial,

4 a nd has not brought it to the door of the meeting tent to give it to the Lord, he will be guilty for that blood, and will not be among God’s people.

e não o trouxer ã porta da tenda da revelação, para o oferecer como oferta ao Senhor diante do tabernáculo do Senhor, a esse homem será imputado o sangue; derramou sangue, pelo que será extirpado do seu povo;

5 T he reason is so that the people of Israel may bring their gifts which were killed in the open field to the Lord, to the religious leader at the door of the meeting tent. Then they can be given as peace gifts to the Lord.

a fim de que os filhos de Israel tragam os seus sacrifícios, que oferecem no campo, isto é, a fim de que os tragam ao Senhor, ã porta da tenda da revelação, ao sacerdote, e os ofereçam por sacrifícios de ofertas, pacíficas ao Senhor.

6 T he religious leader will put the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the meeting tent. And he will burn the fat for a pleasing smell to the Lord.

E o sacerdote espargirá o sangue sobre o altar do Senhor, ã porta da tenda da revelação, e queimará a gordura por cheiro suave ao Senhor.

7 S o they will no longer give their gifts to the goat-like gods to whom they sell themselves. This will be a Law to them for all their people forever.’

E nunca mais oferecerão os seus sacrifícios aos sátiros, após os quais eles se prostituem; isso lhes será por estatuto perpétuo pelas suas gerações.

8 “ Then say to them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel, or visiting from another land, who gives a burnt gift or other gift,

Dir-lhes-ás pois: Qualquer homem da casa de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que entre vós peregrinam, que oferecer holocausto ou sacrifício,

9 a nd does not bring it to the door of the meeting tent to give it to the Lord, will be cut off from his people.

e não o trouxer ã porta da tenda da revelação, para oferecê-lo ao Senhor, esse homem será extirpado do seu povo.

10 ‘ If any man of the house of Israel, or visiting from another land, eats any blood, I will turn against that person who eats blood, and he will not be among God’s people.

Também, qualquer homem da casa de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que peregrinam entre eles, que comer algum sangue, contra aquela alma porei o meu rosto, e a extirparei do seu povo.

11 F or the life of the flesh is in the blood. I have given it to you on the altar to make your souls free from sin. For the blood makes you free from sin because of the life in it.’

Porque a vida da carne está no sangue; pelo que vo-lo tenho dado sobre o altar, para fazer expiação pelas vossas almas; porquanto é o sangue que faz expiação, em virtude da vida.

12 S o I have said to the people of Israel, ‘None of you should eat blood. And the man who visits you from another land should not eat blood.’

Portanto tenho dito aos filhos de Israel: Nenhum de vós comerá sangue; nem o estrangeiro que peregrina entre vós comerá sangue.

13 I f any man from the people of Israel, or from other people living among them, catches an animal or bird which may be eaten, he should pour out its blood and cover it with dust.

Também, qualquer homem dos filhos de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que peregrinam entre eles, que apanhar caça de fera ou de ave que se pode comer, derramará o sangue dela e o cobrirá com pó.

14 “ For blood is the life of every living thing. So I said to the people of Israel, ‘Do not eat the blood of any living thing. For the life of every living thing is its blood. Whoever eats it will be cut off.’

Pois, quanto ã vida de toda a carne, o seu sangue é uma e a mesma coisa com a sua vida; por isso eu disse aos filhos de Israel: Não comereis o sangue de nenhuma carne, porque a vida de toda a carne é o seu sangue; qualquer que o comer será extirpado.

15 E very person, both living in the land or one who has come from another land, who eats an animal that dies or is killed by wild animals, must wash his clothes and wash himself in water. He will be unclean until evening. Then he will be clean.

E todo homem, quer natural quer estrangeiro, que comer do que morre por si ou do que é dilacerado por feras, lavará as suas vestes, e se banhará em água, e será imundo até a tarde; depois será limpo.

16 B ut if he does not wash them or wash his body, he will suffer for his own sin.”

Mas, se não as lavar, nem banhar o seu corpo, levará sobre si a sua iniquidade
