1 T hen the Lord said to me, “Go again and love your wife, even when she is loved by another and is not faithful. Love her as the Lord loves the people of Israel, even when they turn to other gods and love cakes of dried grapes.”

Disse-me o Senhor: Vai outra vez, ama uma mulher, amada de seu amigo, e adúltera, como o Senhor ama os filhos de Israel, embora eles se desviem para outros deuses, e amem passas de uvas.

2 S o I bought her for fifteen pieces of silver money and ten baskets of barley.

Assim eu comprei para mim tal mulher por quinze peças de prata, e um hômer e meio de cevada;

3 T hen I said to her, “You must stay with me for many days, and be faithful to me. Do not have another man, and I will also be faithful to you.”

e lhe disse: Por muitos dias tu ficarás esperando por mim; não te prostituirás, nem serás mulher de outro homem; assim também eu esperarei por ti.

4 F or the sons of Israel will live many days without a king or leader, without holy gifts or holy stone pillars, and without linen vests or false gods.

Pois os filhos de Israel ficarão por muitos dias sem rei, sem príncipe, sem sacrifício, sem coluna, e sem éfode ou terafins.

5 A fter this the sons of Israel will return and look for the Lord their God and for David their king. And they will come shaking before the Lord and receive His goodness in the last days.

Depois tornarão os filhos de Israel, e buscarão ao Senhor, seu Deus, e a Davi, seu rei; e com temor chegarão nos últimos dias ao Senhor, e ã sua bondade.
