1 T he Day of Rest was over. The sun was coming up on the first day of the week. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the grave.

2 A t once the earth shook and an angel of the Lord came down from heaven. He came and pushed back the stone from the door and sat on it.

3 H is face was bright like lightning. His clothes were white as snow.

4 T he soldiers were shaking with fear and became as dead men.

5 T he angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus Who was nailed to the cross.

6 H e is not here! He has risen from the dead as He said He would. Come and see the place where the Lord lay.

7 R un fast and tell His followers that He is risen from the dead. He is going before you to the country of Galilee. You will see Him there as I have told you.”

Luego, vayan pronto y digan a sus discípulos que él ha resucitado de los muertos. De hecho, va delante de ustedes a Galilea; allí lo verán. Ya se lo he dicho.»

8 T hey went away from the grave in a hurry. They were afraid and yet had much joy. They ran to tell the news to His followers.

Entonces ellas salieron del sepulcro con temor y mucha alegría, y fueron corriendo a dar la noticia a los discípulos.

9 A s they went to tell the followers, Jesus met them and said hello to them. They came and held His feet and worshiped Him.

En eso, Jesús les salió al encuentro y les dijo: «¡Salve!» Y ellas se acercaron y le abrazaron los pies, y lo adoraron.

10 T hen Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My followers to go to Galilee. They will see Me there.”

Entonces Jesús les dijo: «No teman. Vayan y den la noticia a mis hermanos, para que vayan a Galilea. Allí me verán.» El informe de la guardia

11 W hile they were on their way, some of the soldiers who were to watch the grave came into the city. They told the head religious leaders everything that had happened.

12 T he soldiers gathered together with the other leaders and talked about what to do. The leaders gave much money to the soldiers.

13 T hey said, “Tell the people, ‘His followers came at night and took His body while we were sleeping.’

y les dijeron: «Ustedes digan que sus discípulos fueron de noche y se robaron el cuerpo, mientras ustedes estaban dormidos.

14 W e will see that you do not get into trouble over this if Pilate hears about it.”

Si el gobernador se entera de esto, nosotros lo convenceremos y a ustedes los pondremos a salvo.»

15 T hey took the money and did as they were told. This story was told among the Jews and is still told today. Jesus Sends His Followers to Teach

16 T hen the eleven followers went to Galilee. They went to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.

17 W hen they saw Jesus, they worshiped Him. But some did not believe.

y cuando lo vieron, lo adoraron. Pero algunos dudaban.

18 J esus came and said to them, “All power has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Jesús se acercó y les dijo: «Toda autoridad me ha sido dada en el cielo y en la tierra.

19 G o and make followers of all the nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Por tanto, vayan y hagan discípulos en todas las naciones, y bautícenlos en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo.

20 T each them to do all the things I have told you. And I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

Enséñenles a cumplir todas las cosas que les he mandado. Y yo estaré con ustedes todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo.» Amén.
