1 Т огава дойдоха дъщерите на Салпаад, Еферовия син, а Ефер, син на Галаад, син на Махир, син на Манасия, от семействата на Манасия, Йосифовия син. А ето имената на дъщерите му: Маала, Нуа, Егла, Мелха и Терса.

Then came the daughters of Zelophehad the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, from the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph. The names of his daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah.

2 Т е застанаха пред Моисей, пред свещеника Елеазар и пред първенците и цялото общество, при входа на шатъра за срещане, и казаха:

They stood in front of Moses and Eleazar the religious leader, and the leaders, and all the people at the door of the meeting tent. The daughters said,

3 Б аща ни умря в пустинята; той не беше от дружината на онези, които се събраха против Господа в Кореевата дружина, а умря поради собствения си грях; и нямаше синове.

“Our father died in the desert. He was not one of those who gathered together with Korah against the Lord. But he died for his own sin, and he had no sons.

4 З ащо да изчезне името на баща ни от семейството му по причина, че не е имал син? Дай на нас наследство между братята на баща ни.

Why should the name of our father be taken away from his family because he had no son? Give us land among our father’s brothers.”

5 И Моисей представи делото им пред Господа.

Moses asked the Lord what should be done.

6 Т огава Господ говорѝ на Моисей:

Then the Lord said to Moses,

7 П раво говорят Салпаадовите дъщери; непременно да им дадеш да притежават наследство между братята на баща си и да направиш да мине върху тях наследството на баща им.

“The daughters of Zelophehad are right in what they say. Be sure to give them their own land among their father’s brothers. Give them what would have been given to their father.

8 И кажѝ на израелтяните: Ако някой умре, без да има син, тогава да прехвърлите наследството му върху дъщеря му.

And say to the people of Israel, ‘If a man dies and has no son, then give what belongs to him to his daughter.

9 А ко няма дъщеря, тогава да дадете наследството му на братята му.

If he has no daughter, then give what belongs to him to his brothers.

10 А ако няма братя, тогава да дадете наследството му на бащините му братя.

If he has no brothers, give what belongs to him to his father’s brothers.

11 Н о ако баща му няма братя, тогава да дадете наследството му на най-близкия му сродник от семейството му и той да го притежава. Това да бъде съдебен закон за израелтяните, както Господ заповяда на Моисей. Моисей определя Исус Навин за свой заместник

And if his father has no brothers, then you must give what belongs to him to the nearest person in his own family and it will be his. This will be a Law to the people of Israel, just as the Lord told Moses.’” Joshua Takes over from Moses

12 С лед това Господ каза на Моисей: Изкачи се на тази планина Аварим и огледай земята, която съм дал на израелтяните;

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go up to this mountain of Abarim, and see the land I have given to the people of Israel.

13 и като я огледаш, ще се прибереш и ти при народа си, както се прибра брат ти Аарон;

When you have seen it, you will be buried with your people as Aaron your brother was.

14 з ащото в пустинята Цин, когато обществото се противеше, вие не се покорихте на повелението Ми да Ме осветите при водата пред тях. (Това е водата на Мерива при Кадис в пустинята Цин.)

For you went against My Word when the people complained in the Desert of Zin. You should have honored Me as holy at the waters in front of their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the Desert of Zin.)

15 А Моисей говорѝ на Господа:

Moses said to the Lord,

16 Г оспод, Бог на духовете на всяка твар, нека постави над обществото човек,

“May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, choose a man to lead the people.

17 к ойто да излиза пред тях и който да влиза пред тях, който да ги извежда и който да ги въвежда, за да не бъде Господнето общество като овце, които нямат пастир.

Let this man go out and come in before them. Let him lead them out and bring them in. Then the people of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.”

18 Т огава Господ каза на Моисей: Вземи при себе си Исус, Навиновия син - човек, в когото е Духът, и положи на него ръката си;

So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.

19 и като го представиш пред свещеника Елеазар и пред цялото общество, дай му поръчка пред тях.

Have him stand in front of Eleazar the religious leader and in front of all the people. Let them see you give him the work he must do.

20 И възложи на него част от твоята почетна власт, за да го слуша цялото общество израелтяни.

Give some of your power to him so all the people of Israel will obey him.

21 Т ой да стои пред свещеника Елеазар, който ще се допитва до Господа за него според съда на Урим; и по неговата дума да излизат, и по неговата дума да влизат, той и всички израелтяни с него, и цялото общество.

He will stand in front of Eleazar the religious leader, who will learn My will for him by using the Urim. At his word, both he and all the people of Israel will go out and at his word, they will come in.”

22 М оисей направи, както му заповяда Господ; взе Исус и го представи пред свещеника Елеазар и пред цялото общество;

Moses did just as the Lord told him. He took Joshua and had him stand in front of Eleazar the religious leader, and in front of all the people.

23 и като положи ръцете си на него, даде му поръчка, както Господ заповяда чрез Моисей.

Then he laid his hands on him and gave him the work he must do, just as the Lord had said through Moses.
