1 K ing Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 T hese were the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;

3 E lihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder;

4 B enaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

Ванайя, Йодаевият син, управител над войската; Садок и Авиатар, свещеници;

5 A zariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, the king’s friend;

Азария, Натановият син, управител над надзирателите на храната; Завуд, Натановият син, главен чиновник и приятел на царя;

6 A hishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.

Ахисар беше домоуправител; а Адонирам, Авдовият син, отговаряше за събиране на данъците.

7 S olomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for a month in the year.

А Соломон имаше в целия Израел дванадесет надзиратели, които доставяха храните за царя и за дома му. Всеки доставяше за един месец в годината.

8 T hese are their names: Ben Hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;

Ето имената им: Оровият син, надзирател в Ефремовата гора;

9 B en Deker, in Makaz, in Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh, and Elon Beth Hanan;

Декеровият син, в Макас-Саавим, Ветсемес и Елон-Ветанан;

10 B en Hesed, in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him);

Еседовият син, в Арувот; като под него беше Сохо и цялата страна Ефер;

11 B en Abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath, Solomon’s daughter, as wife);

Авинадавовият син, в целия Нафат-дор. Той имаше за жена Соломоновата дъщеря Тафата;

12 B aana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth Shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth Shean to Abel Meholah, as far as beyond Jokmeam;

Ваана, Ахилудовият син, в Таанах и Магедон, и в целия Ветсан, който е при Царетан под Езраел, от Ветсан до Авел-меола до отвъд Йокмеам;

13 B en Geber, in Ramoth Gilead (the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, belonged to him; and the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars, belonged to him);

Геверовият син, в Рамот-галаад. Той имаше градовете на Яир, Манасиевия син, които са в Галаад. Той имаше и областта Аргов, която е във Васан - шестдесет големи градове със стени и медни лостове;

14 A hinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;

Ахинадав, Идовият син, в Маханаим;

15 A himaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon as wife);

Ахимаас, в Нефталим; и той взе за жена Соломоновата дъщеря Васемата;

16 B aana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;

Ваана, Хусевият син, в Асир и Алот;

17 J ehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

Йосафат, Фаруевият син, в Исахар;

18 S himei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;

Семей, Илаевият син, във Вениамин;

19 G eber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in the land.

и Гевер, Уриевият син, в галаадската земя, в земята на аморейския цар Сион и на васанския цар Ог. В тази област той беше единственият надзирател. Величието на цар Соломон

20 J udah and Israel were numerous as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.

Юда и Израел бяха многобройни, по множество като крайморския пясък. Ядяха, пиеха и се веселяха.

21 S olomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

Соломон владееше над всички царства от реката Ефрат до филистимската земя и до египетската граница. И те донасяха подаръци и бяха подчинени на Соломон през всичките дни на неговия живот.

22 S olomon’s provision for one day was thirty cors of fine flour, sixty measures of meal,

А продоволствието на Соломон за един ден беше тридесет кора чисто пшеничено брашно и шестдесет кора друго брашно,

23 t en head of fat cattle, twenty head of cattle out of the pastures, and one hundred sheep, besides deer, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fattened fowl.

десет угоени говеда и двадесет охранени вола, сто овце, освен елените, сърните, биволите и тлъстите птици.

24 F or he had dominion over all on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides around him.

Защото той владееше над цялата земя отсам реката, от Тапса чак до Газа - над всички царе отсам реката. Той имаше мир навсякъде около себе си.

25 J udah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

Юда и Израел живееха безопасно, всеки под лозята си и под смокинята си, от Дан до Вирсавее, през всички дни на Соломон.

26 S olomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

И Соломон имаше обори за четиридесет хиляди коне за колесниците си и дванадесет хиляди конници.

27 T hose officers provided food for king Solomon, and for all who came to king Solomon’s table, every man in his month. They let nothing be lacking.

А онези надзиратели продоволстваха, всеки в определения си месец, за цар Соломон и за всички, които идваха на Соломоновата трапеза. Те не допускаха наличие на недостиг от нищо.

28 T hey also brought Barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds to the place where the officers were, each man according to his duty.

Също ечемик и слама за конете и бързоногите коне донасяха на мястото, където бяха, всеки, както му беше определено.

29 G od gave Solomon abundant wisdom and understanding, and very great understanding, even as the sand that is on the seashore.

И Бог даде на Соломон твърде много мъдрост и разум, и душевен простор, като крайморския пясък.

30 S olomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.

Така Соломоновата мъдрост надмина мъдростта на всички източни жители и цялата египетска мъдрост,

31 F or he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations all around.

защото беше по-мъдър от всички хора - от езраеца Етан и от Еман, Халкол и Дарда, синовете на Маол. И името му се прочу между всички околни народи.

32 H e spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs numbered one thousand five.

Той изрече три хиляди поговорки; а песните му бяха хиляда и пет на брой.

33 H e spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows out of the wall; he also spoke of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.

Той говорѝ за дърветата от ливанския кедър до исопа, който никне по стената, говорѝ също за животните, за птиците, за влечугите и за рибите.

34 P eople of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, sent by all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.

И от всички народи, от всички царе на света, които бяха чули за мъдростта на Соломон, идваха да слушат неговата мъдрост.
