и ще бъде, както когато жътварят хване стръкове жито и пожъне класовете с мишцата си. Да! Ще бъде, както когато някой събира класове в Рафаимската долина.

6 Y et gleanings will be left there, like the shaking of an olive tree, two or three olives in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outermost branches of a fruitful tree,” says Yahweh, the God of Israel.

Но ще останат в него баберки, както при отърсването на маслината - две-три зърна на върха на по-високите клони, четири-пет на по-крайните клончета на някое плодородно дърво, казва Господ, Израелевият Бог.

7 I n that day, people will look to their Maker, and their eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.

В онзи ден човек ще погледне към Създателя си и очите му ще се взрат в Святия Израелев;

8 T hey will not look to the altars, the work of their hands; neither shall they respect that which their fingers have made, either the Asherah poles, or the incense altars.

той няма да погледне към жертвениците, делото на ръцете си, нито ще се взре в онова, което изработиха пръстите му, нито в ашерите, нито в кумирите на слънцето.

9 I n that day, their strong cities will be like the forsaken places in the woods and on the mountain top, which were forsaken from before the children of Israel; and it will be a desolation.

В онзи ден укрепените му градове ще бъдат като изоставените места в гората и на планинския връх, които бяха изоставени заради израелтяните; и ще настане там запустение.

10 F or you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not remembered the rock of your strength. Therefore you plant pleasant plants, and set out foreign seedlings.

Понеже си забравил Бога на спасението си и не си спомнил силната си Канара, затова насаждаш приятни градини и насаденото е от чужди фиданки;

11 I n the day of your planting, you hedge it in. In the morning, you make your seed blossom, but the harvest flees away in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

в деня, когато ги насадиш, ги заграждаш с плет и сутрин правиш семето ти да цъфти; а жътвата ще чезне в деня на скръб и на неизцелима печал.

12 A h, the uproar of many peoples, who roar like the roaring of the seas; and the rushing of nations, that rush like the rushing of mighty waters!

Ах! Шуменето на многото племена, които бучат като бученето на моретата, и смутът на народите, които напират като напор на големи води!

13 T he nations will rush like the rushing of many waters: but he will rebuke them, and they will flee far off, and will be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm.

Народите ще напират като напора на големите води; но Бог ще ги смъмри и те ще бягат далеч, и ще бъдат гонени като плява по планините пред вятъра и като въртящ се прах пред вихрушката.

14 A t evening, behold, terror! Before the morning, they are no more. This is the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who rob us.
