1 N ow David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

Така Давид, като остаря и се насити с дни, направи сина си Соломон цар над Израел.

2 H e gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.

И събра всички Израелеви първенци и свещениците, и левитите.

3 T he Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.

А Левиевите синове бяха преброени от тридесетгодишна възраст и нагоре; и като бяха преброени мъжете един по един, броят им беше тридесет и осем хиляди души,

4 D avid said, “Of these, twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of Yahweh’s house, six thousand were officers and judges,

от които двадесет и четири хиляди да надзирават делото на Господния дом, а шест хиляди да бъдат управители и съдии,

5 f our thousand were doorkeepers, and four thousand praised Yahweh with the instruments which I made for giving praise.”

четири хиляди вратари и четири хиляди да хвалят Господа с инструментите, които направих, каза Давид, за да хвалят с тях Господа.

6 D avid divided them into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

Давид ги раздели на отряди според Левиевите синове Гирсон, Каат и Мерарий.

7 O f the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.

От Гирсоновите синове бяха Ладан и Семей.

8 T he sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, Zetham, and Joel, three.

Ладанови синове бяха: Ехиил - главният, Зетам и Йоил, трима.

9 T he sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers’ households of Ladan.

Семееви синове: Селомит, Азиил и Аран, трима. Тези бяха началници на Ладановите бащини домове.

10 T he sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.

А Семееви синове: Яат, Зиза, Еус и Верия. Тези четирима бяха Семееви синове.

11 J ahath was the chief, and Zizah the second; but Jeush and Beriah didn’t have many sons; therefore they became a fathers’ house in one reckoning.

А Яат беше главният и Зиза вторият; а Еус и Верия нямаха много синове, затова бяха преброени заедно като един бащин дом.

12 T he sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.

Каатови синове бяха: Амрам, Исаар, Хеврон и Озиил, четирима.

13 T he sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons, forever, to burn incense before Yahweh, to minister to him, and to bless in his name, forever.

Амрамови синове: Аарон и Моисей. А Аарон беше отделѐн, той и синовете му, за да освещават пресветите неща завинаги, да кадят пред Господа, да Му служат и да благославят в Неговото име завинаги.

14 B ut as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.

А синовете на Божия човек Моисей се числяха към Левиевото племе.

15 T he sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.

Синовете на Моисей бяха: Гирсам и Елиезер.

16 T he sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.

От Гирсамовите синове Суваил беше главният.

17 T he sons of Eliezer were: Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.

Елиезеровият син беше Равия - главният. Елиезер нямаше други синове; а Равиевите синове бяха много.

18 T he sons of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.

От Исааровите синове Селомит беше главният.

19 T he sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

Хевроновите синове: Ерия, първият; Амария, вторият; Язиил, третият; и Екамеам, четвъртият.

20 T he sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief, and Isshiah the second.

Озииловите синове: Михей, първият; и Есия, вторият.

21 T he sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.

Мерариеви синове бяха: Маалий и Мусий. Маалиеви синове: Елеазар и Кис.

22 E leazar died, and had no sons, but daughters only: and their brothers the sons of Kish took them as wives.

А Елеазар умря, без да има синове, а само дъщери; затова братовчедите им, Кисовите синове, ги взеха за жени.

23 T he sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth, three.

Мусиеви синове бяха: Маалий, Едер и Еримот, трима.

24 T hese were the sons of Levi after their fathers’ houses, even the heads of the fathers’ houses of those who were counted individually, in the number of names by their polls, who did the work for the service of Yahweh’s house, from twenty years old and upward.

Тези бяха Левиевите синове според бащините си домове, началници на бащините си домове според преброяването си, броени един по един по име, които извършваха работите по службата на Господния дом, от двадесетгодишна възраст и нагоре.

25 F or David said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.

Защото Давид каза: Господ, Израелевият Бог, успокои народа Си, за да живее в Йерусалим завинаги.

26 A lso the Levites will no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service.”

При това няма да има нужда левитите да носят скинията и всичките нейни вещи за службата ѝ;

27 F or by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.

защото според последните думи на Давид Левиевите синове и те бяха преброени от двадесетгодишна възраст нагоре.

28 F or their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of Yahweh’s house, in the courts, and in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of God’s house;

Понеже тяхната работа беше да помагат на Аароновите потомци в службата на Господния дом, в дворовете, в стаите, в очистването на всички святи неща - в цялата работа по службата на Господния дом,

29 f or the show bread also, and for the fine flour for a meal offering, whether of unleavened wafers, or of that which is baked in the pan, or of that which is soaked, and for all measurements of quantity and size;

също в грижата за присъствените хлябове, за чистото брашно на хлебните приноси, било за безквасните кори или за нещата, които се пекат в тава, или за препечените, и от всякаква мярка и големина,

30 a nd to stand every morning to thank and praise Yahweh, and likewise in the evening;

и всяка сутрин да стоят, за да славят и хвалят Господа, също и вечер,

31 a nd to offer all burnt offerings to Yahweh, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before Yahweh;

и да принасят на Господа всички всеизгаряния в съботите, на новолунията и на празниците, по число според определеното за тях винаги пред Господа,

32 a nd that they should keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, the duty of the holy place, and the duty of the sons of Aaron their brothers, for the service of Yahweh’s house.

и да пазят заръчаното за шатъра за срещане и заръчаното за светилището, и заръчаното от братята си, Аароновите потомци, по службата на Господния дом.
