1 G od, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners,

Бог, Който в многобройни частични откровения и по много начини е говорил в старо време на бащите ни чрез пророците,

2 h ath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;

в края на тези дни говори на нас чрез Сина, Когото постави Наследник на всичко, чрез Когото и направи световете,

3 w ho being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Който е сияние на Неговата слава и съвършен образ на Неговото лице и Който държи всичко чрез Своето могъщо слово. Той, след като извърши чрез Себе Си очистване на греховете, седна отдясно на Величието във висините Божият Син превъзхожда ангелите

4 h aving become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.

и стана толкова по-горен от ангелите, колкото името, което е наследил, е по-превъзходно от тяхното.

5 F or unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?

Защото на кого от ангелите Бог е казал някога: "Ти си Мой Син, Аз днес Те родих"; и пак: "Аз ще Му бъда Отец и Той ще ми бъде Син"?

6 A nd when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

А когато пък въвежда Първородния във вселената, казва: "И поклонете се на Него всички Божии ангели."

7 A nd of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds, And his ministers a flame a fire:

И за ангелите казва: "Който прави ангелите Си силни като ветрове и служителите Си като огнен пламък."

8 b ut of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

А за Сина казва: "Твоят престол, о, Боже, е до вечни векове; и скиптърът на Твоето царство е скиптър на правота.

9 T hou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Възлюбил си правда и си намразил беззаконие, затова, Боже, Твоят Бог Те е помазал с елей на радост повече от Твоите събратя."

10 A nd, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands:

И пак: "В началото Ти, Господи, си основал земята и дело на Твоите ръце е небето;

11 T hey shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

те ще изчезнат, а Ти пребъдваш. Да! Те всички ще остареят като дреха

12 A nd as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail.

и като наметало ще ги свиеш, и те ще бъдат изменени. Но Ти си същият и Твоите години няма да се свършат."

13 B ut of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?

А на кого от ангелите е казал някога: "Седни отдясно Ми, докато положа враговете Ти за Твое подножие"?

14 A re they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?

Не са ли те всички служебни духове, изпращани да слугуват на онези, които ще наследят спасение?
