1 I n those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Set thy house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

В това време Езекия се разболя до смърт. Пророк Исая, Амосовият син, дойде при него и му каза: Така казва Господ: Разпореди се за дома си, понеже ще умреш и няма да живееш.

2 T hen he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto Jehovah, saying,

Тогава царят обърна лицето си към стената и се помоли на Господа:

3 R emember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

Моля Ти се, Господи, спомни си сега как ходих пред Тебе с вярност и с цяло сърце и върших това, което е угодно пред Теб. И Езекия плака горко.

4 A nd it came to pass, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle part of the city, that the word of Jehovah came to him, saying,

А преди Исая да беше стигнал до средната част на града, Господнето слово дойде към него и каза:

5 T urn back, and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee; on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of Jehovah.

Върни се и кажи на вожда на Моя народ, Езекия: Така казва Господ, Бог на баща ти Давид: Чух молитвата ти, видях сълзите ти и Аз ще те изцеля; след три дни ще възлезеш в Господния дом.

6 A nd I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

Ще прибавя към живота ти петнадесет години; ще избавя теб и този град от ръката на асирийския цар; и ще защитя този град заради Себе Си и заради слугата Ми Давид.

7 A nd Isaiah said, Take a cake of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

Тогава Исая каза: Вземете наниз смокини. И взеха и го сложиха на цирея; и царят оздравя.

8 A nd Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that Jehovah will heal me, and that I shall go up unto the house of Jehovah the third day?

А Езекия беше казал на Исая: Какво ще бъде знамението, че Господ ще ме изцели и че след три дни ще отида в Господния дом?

9 A nd Isaiah said, This shall be the sign unto thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?

Исая беше отговорил: Ето какво ще ти бъде знамението от Господа, че Господ ще извърши това, което каза: избери - да напредне ли сянката десет стъпала или да се върне назад десет стъпала?

10 A nd Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to decline ten steps: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps.

Езекия отвърна: Лесно нещо е да напредне сянката десет стъпала; не, нека сянката се върне десет стъпала назад.

11 A nd Isaiah the prophet cried unto Jehovah; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.

Пророк Исая извика към Господа; и Той върна сянката десет стъпала назад, по които беше слязла върху слънчевия часовник на Ахаз.

12 A t that time Berodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

В онова време вавилонският цар Веродах-валадан, Валадановият син, прати писмо и подарък на Езекия, защото чу, че Езекия се бил разболял.

13 A nd Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.

Езекия изслуша пратениците и им показа цялата къща със скъпоценните си вещи - среброто и златото, ароматите и скъпоценните масла, целия си оръжеен склад и всичко, каквото се намираше между съкровищата му; в къщата му и в цялото му владение не остана нищо, което Езекия не им показа.

14 T hen came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

Тогава пророк Исая дойде при цар Езекия и му каза: Какво казаха тези хора и откъде дойдоха при теб? Езекия отговори: От далечна земя идват, от Вавилон.

15 A nd he said, What have they seen in thy house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in my house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not showed them.

Тогава пророкът запита: Какво видяха в къщата ти? Езекия отговори: Видяха всичко, което има в къщата ми; няма нищо между съкровищата ми, което да не им показах.

16 A nd Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of Jehovah.

Тогава Исая каза на Езекия: Слушай Господнето слово:

17 B ehold, the days come, that all that is in thy house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith Jehovah.

Ето, идат дни, когато всичко, което е в къщата ти и каквото бащите ти са събрали до този ден, ще бъде пренесено във Вавилон; няма да остане нищо, казва Господ.

18 A nd of thy sons that shall issue from thee, whom thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

И ще отведат от синовете, които ще излязат от тебе, които ще родиш; и те ще станат придворни в палата на вавилонския цар.

19 T hen said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of Jehovah which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, Is it not so, if peace and truth shall be in my days?

Тогава Езекия каза на Исая: Добро е Господнето слово, което ти изрече. Прибави още: Не е ли така, щом в моите дни ще има мир и вярност?

20 N ow the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

А останалите дела на Езекия и цялото му юначество, и как направи водоема и водопровода и доведе вода в града, са записани в Книгата на летописите на Юдейските царе.

21 A nd Hezekiah slept with his fathers; and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.

И Езекия заспа с бащите си; и вместо него се възцари синът му Манасия.
