1 O f Moab. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Woe unto Nebo! for it is laid waste; Kiriathaim is put to shame, it is taken; Misgab is put to shame and broken down.

За Моав. Така казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Горко на Нево! Защото бе опустошен; Кириатаим се посрами, защото беше превзет; Мисгав се посрами, защото беше съкрушен.

2 T he praise of Moab is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from being a nation. Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be brought to silence: the sword shall pursue thee.

Моав няма вече да се хвали; в Есевон измислиха зло против него, като казаха: Елате! Да го изтребим, за да не е народ. Също и ти, Мадмене, ще запустееш; мечът ще те преследва.

3 T he sound of a cry from Horonaim, desolation and great destruction!

Глас на писък от Оронаим, ограбване и страшно разрушение!

4 M oab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

Моав беше разрушен; малките му деца изпищяха.

5 F or by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping shall they go up; for at the descent of Horonaim they have heard the distress of the cry of destruction.

Защото в нагорнището на Луит ще се издига плач върху плач, понеже в надолнището на Оронаим чуха плачевния писък на жертвите на разрушение.

6 F lee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.

Бягайте, отървете живота си и бъдете като изтравничето в пустинята.

7 F or, because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.

Защото понеже си уповавал на делата и съкровищата си, сам ти също ще бъдеш хванат; и Хамос ще отиде в плен заедно със свещениците и първенците си.

8 A nd the destroyer shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape; the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed; as Jehovah hath spoken.

И разорителят ще дойде във всеки град; нито един град няма да се избави; още и долината ще бъде опустошена и полето ще се разори, както каза Господ.

9 G ive wings unto Moab, that she may fly and get her away: and her cities shall become a desolation, without any to dwell therein.

Дайте крила на Моав, за да литне и да избяга; защото градовете му ще запустеят и няма да има кой да живее в тях.

10 C ursed be he that doeth the work of Jehovah negligently; and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

Проклет да бъде онзи, който върши делото Господне небрежно; и проклет онзи, който въздържа меча си от кръв.

11 M oab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remaineth in him, and his scent is not changed.

Моав е бил на спокойствие от младините си и е почивал като вино на дрождите си; не е бил претакан от съд в съд, нито е ходил в плен; затова вкусът му си е останал в него и духът му не се е променил.

12 T herefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will send unto him them that pour off, and they shall pour him off; and they shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles in pieces.

Затова, ето, идат дни, казва Господ, когато ще му пратя преливачи, които ще го прелеят; и ще изпразнят съдовете му и разкъсат меховете му.

13 A nd Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.

И Моав ще се посрами за Хамос, както се посрами Израелевият дом за Ветил, на който уповаваха.

14 H ow say ye, We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war?

Как казвате: Ние сме силни мъже - мъже, храбри за война?

15 M oab is laid waste, and they are gone up into his cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.

Моав беше разорен, градовете му изгоряха и отбраните му младежи слязоха да бъдат заклани, казва Царят, Чието име е Господ на Силите.

16 T he calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.

Погибелта на Моав скоро ще дойде и злото му иде много бързо.

17 A ll ye that are round about him, bemoan him, and all ye that know his name; say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful rod!

Всички, които сте около него, го оплаквайте; и всички, които знаете името му, кажете: Как се счупи якият скиптър, славната тояга!

18 O thou daughter that dwellest in Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the destroyer of Moab is come up against thee, he hath destroyed thy strongholds.

Дъще, която живееш в Девон, слез от славата си и седни в безводно място; защото разорителят на Моав излезе против теб и ще съсипе крепостите ти.

19 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and watch: ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth; say, What hath been done?

Жителко на Ароир, застани при пътя и съгледай; попитай онзи, който бяга, и онази, която се е отървала, като кажеш: Какво стана?

20 M oab is put to shame; for it is broken down: wail and cry; tell ye it by the Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.

Моав се посрами, защото е разрушен. Заридай и викни; известете в Арнон, че Моав беше запустен.

21 A nd judgment is come upon the plain country, upon Holon, and upon Jahzah, and upon Mephaath,

Присъда сполетя полската земя, Олон, Яса и Мифаат,

22 a nd upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim,

Девон, Нево и Вет-девлатаим,

23 a nd upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon,

Киритаим, Вет-гамул и Вет-меон,

24 a nd upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.

Кариот Восора и всички градове на Моавската земя, далечни и близки.

25 T he horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith Jehovah.

Рогът на Моав се строши и мишцата му бе смазана, казва Господ.

26 M ake ye him drunken; for he magnified himself against Jehovah: and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.

Опийте го, защото се надигна против Господа; Моав ще се валя в бълвоча си, също и той ще бъде за присмех.

27 F or was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for as often as thou speakest of him, thou waggest the head.

Защото Израел не стана ли за присмех пред тебе? Намери ли се той между крадци, така че колкото пъти говориш за него, движиш рамената си презрително?

28 O ye inhabitants of Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock; and be like the dove that maketh her nest over the mouth of the abyss.

Моавски жители, напуснете градовете, заселете се в канарата и бъдете като гълъбица, която се загнездява по страните на входа на пещерата.

29 W e have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud; his loftiness, and his pride, and his arrogancy, and the haughtiness of his heart.

Чухме за гордостта на Моав (той е много горд), за високоумието, високомерието, надутостта му и надменността на сърцето му.

30 I know his wrath, saith Jehovah, that it is nought; his boastings have wrought nothing.

Аз зная, че неговият гняв е празен, казва Господ; самохвалствата му не са извършили нищо.

31 T herefore will I wail for Moab; yea, I will cry out for all Moab: for the men of Kir-heres shall they mourn.

Затова ще ридая за Моав. Да! Ще извикам за целия Моав; ще заридаят за мъжете на Кир-арес.

32 W ith more than the weeping of Jazer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah: thy branches passed over the sea, they reached even to the sea of Jazer: upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage the destroyer is fallen.

О, лоза на Севма, ще плача за тебе повече, отколкото плака Язир; твоите клончета преминаха морето, стигнаха до морето на Язир; грабител нападна летните ти плодове и гроздобера ти.

33 A nd gladness and joy is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to cease from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.

Веселието и радостта бяха отнети от плодоносното поле и от Моавската земя; и спрях виното от линовете, за да няма вече кой да тъпче грозде с възклицание; възклицание няма да се чуе.

34 F rom the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, even unto Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, to Eglath-shelishiyah: for the waters of Nimrim also shall become desolate.

Поради вопъла на Есевон, който стигна до Елеала и до Яса, те нададоха глас от Сигор до Оронаим, до Еглат-шелишия; защото и водите на Нимрим пресъхнаха.

35 M oreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith Jehovah, him that offereth in the high place, and him that burneth incense to his gods.

При това, казва Господ, ще премахна от Моав онзи, който принася всеизгаряне по високите места, и онзи, който кади на боговете си.

36 T herefore my heart soundeth for Moab like pipes, and my heart soundeth like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: therefore the abundance that he hath gotten is perished.

Затова сърцето ми звучи за Моав като свирка и сърцето ми звучи като свирка за мъжете на Кир-арес; защото изобилието, което доби, изчезна.

37 F or every head is bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.

Защото всяка глава е плешива и всяка брада - обръсната; по всички ръце има нарязвания и на кръста - вретище.

38 O n all the housetops of Moab and in the streets thereof there is lamentation every where; for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein none delighteth, saith Jehovah.

По всички покриви на къщите на Моав и по улиците му има плач навред; защото строших Моав като непотребен съд, казва Господ.

39 H ow is it broken down! how do they wail! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab become a derision and a terror to all that are round about him.

Как се строши! - вайкат се те; как Моав посрамен обърна гръб! Така Моав ще стане за присмех и за ужас на всички, които са около него.

40 F or thus saith Jehovah: Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread out his wings against Moab.

Защото така казва Господ: Ето, неприятелят ще налети като орел и ще разпростре крилата си над Моав.

41 K erioth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and the heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

Градовете бяха превзети, крепостите - завладени с изненада, и сърцата на силните моавци ще бъдат в онзи ден като сърцето на жена в родилни болки.

42 A nd Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against Jehovah.

И Моав ще бъде изтребен така, че да не е вече народ, защото се надигна против Господа.

43 F ear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.

Страх, яма и примка те налетяха, жителю моавски, казва Господ.

44 H e that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon him, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.

Който избегне от страха, ще падне в ямата, а който излезе от ямата, ще се хване в примката; защото ще докарам върху него - да!, върху Моав - годината на наказанието им, казва Господ.

45 T hey that fled stand without strength under the shadow of Heshbon; for a fire is gone forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and hath devoured the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.

Онези, които бягаха, застанаха изнемощели под сянката на Есевон; обаче огън излезе от Есевон и пламък - отсред Сион, който погълна моавския край и темето на шумните борци.

46 W oe unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh is undone; for thy sons are taken away captive, and thy daughters into captivity.

Горко ти, Моаве; Хамосовият народ загина; защото синовете ти бяха хванати като пленници, както и дъщерите ти.

47 Y et will I bring back the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith Jehovah. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

Но при все това Аз ще върна моавските пленници в следващите дни, казва Господ. Дотук присъдата на Моав.
